Not A Great Stay...
You will pick up the keys at a small grocery store a half mile away from the VRBO unit... Supply the clerk with the code that you get 24 hours previous to your arrival and he will give you the keys... The walk is easy and will only take 10 minutes...
The building's address is posted and easily read from the street, but the individual units are not numbered... Additionally, the VRBO description (that you will get 24 hours prior to arrival) of your unit's exact location in the building is in French (not my language)... Needless to say we met new friends as we tried each door until finding ours (the neighbors are very nice)...
The VRBO is large (4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms) with a big living room and is in a great location... One mile from the city of Paris and the Porte de Champerret Metro station (from Porte de Champerret you can access all of Paris)... The kitchen is very small... But, whatever... You didn't come to Paris to hang out in the kitchen...
The stove works only intermittently... Same with the oven...
The wi fi did not work the entire time we were there (five nights)... The owner feigned interest in fixing it (asking all sorts of questions and requesting all sorts of pictures)... Even said he sent a friend over to look at it (I did not see any sign of this)... In the end he outlasted us... I used my phone as a hot spot and it worked okay...
We arrived to find (between two bathrooms) one quarter of a roll of toilet paper... Our group included two men and three women... You do the math on how that went over...
We arrived to find the toilet seat in the upstairs bathroom completely broke off the toilet... Completely...
But, without a doubt the biggest problem when we arrived was that the electricity for the entire back of the unit (upstairs and downstair) was out... We found the electrical panels (you will get to know them well because the panel switches CONTINUALLY trip) and after some effort got the upstairs to work... We never could get the downstairs to work... Again, the owner feigned interest in fixing it (asking all sorts of questions and requesting all sorts of pictures), but in the end no one came to look and it was never fixed...
In conclusion, this unit is in a terrific location... It has had, in the past, MUCH love shown to it... But, that was long ago and it is now in need of some serious "tender loving care" and repair...
