Home located on Tipsinah Mounds Golf Course

House on the Green is located directly off of the 7th and 11th greens and 8th and 12th tee boxes on the beautifully maintained Tipsinah Mounds Golf Course. House on the Green has an open floor plan that has been completely remodeled and updated. Enjoy time hanging out in the three season porch watching golfers, come in from your time on the course and enjoy the air conditioning, or watch your favorite movie on NetFlix. We also have a firepit and we provide the wood. We have plenty of parking space for your boat or jet skis at the house and there is a public access and swim beach less than a mile away. If you are working remotely then take advantage of our complementary high speed WIFI and desk work space.
The Central Lakes trail runs from Fergus Falls to Osakis. At Osakis, it also connects to the Lake Wobegon Trail which makes this the longest paved trail system in MN covering over 122 miles. The trail goes through nearby Ashby and is great for hiking, biking, rollerblading, and snowmobiling.
Have a large group with extended family and friends? We have a 5 bedroom/2 bath home right next door you can rent to have plenty of space for your entire group!

Great Experience

We recently had a fantastic stay at a VRBO property owned by Kari, and I can't recommend it highly enough. From the moment we booked, Kari was incredibly responsive and accommodating. The property itself was immaculate, beautifully decorated, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was perfect, offering stunning views of the golf course and easy access to local attractions. Perfect stay for golf and lake time

We had such a great time during our stay right on Tipsinah Mounds. We had a group of 8 guys for a weekend of golf and time on the lake (by the way there are so many to choose from, but Lake Pomme de Tairre is so close and easy). The house was a perfect set up with everyone having a bed to themselves, a nice front covered open-air patio where we played games, and a great view of the 12th green. Everything was better than we could have asked for and the hosts were so easy to work with- we’ll be back again!

Family weekend

We thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend on your house on the green. We have been coming back to Elbow Lake for many years for Flekkefest. The family used to stay at our cabin on Pomme de Terre lake every year but with the addition of spouses and children we needed for space. Your house was the perfect size and location for our needs.

Relaxing Stay

Nicely situated on the golf course, quiet and relaxing. House well stocked, beds comfortable. It was a great place for us to clelebrate time with family. The only real issue is it could have been cleaner. At first glance it was "clean" appearing but as you get settled in you see deep cleaning and attention to detail was missing. We did a bit of cleaning so this did not detract from the great time we had.

Great House!

Great house & host

We had a bachelorette party here this past weekend and it was amazing! Kari had everything we needed and more! The welcome book was well put together and she answered all the questions I had! The golfers were super nice as well when we were outside and the hidden gem beach less than a mile away was a hit!

It was a beautiful house with a wonderful atmosphere.

Great golf trip

9 of us, friends since middle school or before, have folded together at Tipsinah Mounds for over 20 years. This home was perfect for us. Lots of beds/bedrooms, good size living area and large patio with plenty of seating. Had a great time.

Sisters Trip Success at The House on The Green!

I contacted our cousin Kari in January to inquire about booking for a family wedding in July. We were excited to see the “in progress” pictures on Facebook in anticipation of our summer sister trip! From the moment we arrived everything was perfect! The welcoming basket was such a treat- we felt spoiled; lots of local products- the honey butter was our favorite! We had such a great time having family and friends stop by to visit! A perfect home for entertaining with the screened porch and lots of chairs and stools for seating. Tom and Kari are the perfect hosts and the setting is beautiful! Elbow Lake is lucky to have such a perfect gathering place! We look forward to another stay at the House On The Green!

We live about a half a mile away from this property and absolutely love our community! My husband and I keep busy going to our kids events, doing foster care, running a event rental, and having 3 vacation rentals one directly next door and another one near Battle Lake MN. We have worked together as a family to completely renovate this home. It is our goal for you to consider House on the Green your home away from home.

Why they chose this property

House on the Green has a very homey atmosphere with an open concept. We have been told many times in reviews that the beds are comfortable and the home is cozy and nicely decorated. We have a fully stocked kitchen and a gas grill. The three season porch is perfect for hanging out playing a board game, having that extra cup of coffee in the morning, or sipping on your favorite beverage in the evening. Enjoy watching the golfers on the course or soak up the sun on the patio. House on the Green is all about relaxation, making memories, and enjoying time with your favorite people.

What makes this property unique

We have fantastic neighbors, a hidden gem of a local swimming beach, many trails nearby to explore, and the communities of Elbow Lake and Ashby which have restaurants, grocery shopping, axe throwing, pharmacy, and more! We are located right on the beautiful 18 hole Tipsinah Mounds Golf Course.
