It was a perfect little cabin for our relaxing getaway. Set up nicely for a chill weekend, perfect for a couple. Host was very responsive with any questions we had- would recommend!
Enjoyed our stay. Lots of great hiking and biking nearby, plus easy access to beaches and restaurants up and down the Lake Michigan coast. We wish our schedules would have allowed us to stay longer.
My boyfriend and I enjoyed this cozy cabin for it's amenities and for being tucked in a secluded spot. We made the short drive to downtown Manistee for some shops and the beach. And we enjoyed the Bear Creek river access nearby for some kayaking/SUPing.
The property was very tidy, there was everything a visiting couple with a pet could ask for. There was even a few just in case amenities, such as tools, a few diapers, as well as other extras. Thank you 😊 👍 thinking ahead. The cottage sooooooo cozy that my wife didn't want to leave.
This place was a nice place but it was not as secluded as we thought it would be. we could hear people talking throughout the day and we really felt it was deeper into the woods than it was, other than that it was a nice place
Our experience in this cabin was everything we’d hoped for. We went there to get away and to do some hiking. We found many different trailheads along the Manastee River for each day of the week, all within a 15 minute drive. When we returned at the end of long days we sure did enjoy the high pressure of the nice hot showers. There was everything we needed to make our home cooked meals. Then we settled down to cuddle in the warmth of a crackling fireplace while watching the smart TV. We would definitely recommend and hope we can go back someday.
If your looking for a place where you can just relaxe, this cute cottage fits the bill nicely. I would have no problem recommending this property to anyone!
We fell in love with this cute, cozy, and extremely clean cabin. Karen has thought of everything for this rental. If you're on the fence about renting, don't be. This place is a gem! 😉
"Cottage in the woods" says it all! We had a great time & the property was excellent. We were looking for peace and quiet, and a connection with nature and that is what we had for this vacation. We had a great time and definitely would consider staying here again.
Thanks,
John & Jackie
Great little cabin in Manistee county. close to everything we wanted to see/do. Owner's have thought of everything amenity-wise! Great water pressure...which is so nice after a long day hiking/beach. Choosing this cabin...you will not be disappointed!
We needed a place to take our foot off the gas pedal and this cabin delivered that nicely. It is located on a dead end road with virtually no traffic. The interior was clean and nicely decorated. Karen the manager was quite helpful answering questions relevant to our stay. The Glenwood restaurant in Onekama which was awesome, affordable fine dining. Paul, the neighbor who was a source to rent kayaks from and went above and beyond in every way. (This challenged a couple of Buckeyes' opinion on our rivals to the North.) Tippy dam and the towns of Manistee and Onekama are all close by and we spent time at each of them. Fishing the Manistee river was a bit slow, but it was the middle of July and these are world class Salmon waters in the spring and fall. There is nothing over- the- top / extravagant here, in my opinion. Except really nice people, beautiful scenery and a pace-of- life that most of us would benefit from. Thank you Karen.
