Great location and fantastic hosts!
Vincent and Sonia were fantastic hosts and the flat in Altea was a wonderful location. Overall we had an amazing stay and great experience with the hosts. Based on our stay we would note a few pros and cons as detailed below. CONS: 1. Although the apartment description says the accommodation has been renovated, the actual apartment does not appear so. We had anticipated a newer flat (pictures 14-18 is what we expected). But in reality the flat was the pictures that were dated 2014. 2. The flat says there is a parking spot, however, the hosts ask that you do not use it as it will block the neighbors’ car. This was not an issue if you only rent a scooter. In addition, street parking is limited around the direct vicinity of the property. 3. We requested internet (at an additional expense), however, the internet throughout our 4 week stay was not stable and kept cutting in and out. It was not sufficient for 2 people to work abroad. The host contacted the WiFi company immediately but unfortunately, this did not really help the situation. I’m not sure there’s much more the hosts can do regarding this issue. 4. The kitchen appliances could use an update as the microwave is quite old and when we tried to make popcorn, the microwave started smoking, which if we were not paying attention could’ve been a fire hazard. Also I would note the kettle does not automatically click off when finish, so you must pay attention to manually turn it off. (A blender would be a great addition to the flat) PROS: 1. Hosts are fantastic and respond almost immediately to any queries. 2. Location was ideal and just as advertised. Old town is right at your door step with many amazing food options and the beach is within 10 minute walk (steep incline/decline). 3. Flat is spacious with fantastic views and air con throughout except there is no air con in the second bedroom (only a plug in fan). 4. Bed is very comfortable, plenty of towels provided, and walk in rain shower was a nice treat after a hot day on the beach. Overall we had a great stay and would recommend Vincent and Sonia as hosts again! Many thanks for your hospitality.

Mit dem postalisch zugesandten Eingangsschlüssel fanden wir am späten Abend anhand der perfekten graphischen Anfahrtsskizze in der Wohnanlage im 1. OG die Garagenschlüssel. Nach Abstellen der Koffer parkten wir um die Ecke der Anlage mit steiler Abfahrt den Mietwagen. Durstig sind wir gleich weiter zu Fuß in die Altstadt um Tapas bei dem umfangreichen Restaurantangebot und Eiskaffees vorbei an Boutiquen Artisienne zu genießen. Der klimatisierte steingekachelte Wohnküchenraum und das obere Schlafzimmer mit neuen Matratzen in europäischer Länge und Breite boten morgens einen herrlichen Sonnenaufgang mit Blick übers Meer. Beim benannten Minisupermarkt um die Ecke in der Oberaltstadt haben wir beide nach einer erholsamen Nacht trotz Feierlichkeiten/Fiesta den leeren großen Kühlgefrierschrank mit Trinkwasser bestückt und das Frühstück mit unseren vorsorglich mitgebrachten Kaffee-Instant-Tütchen auf der überdachten Terrasse genossen. Die sehr gut ausgestatte Küchenzeile mit Zanussi-Herd und IKEA Geschirrschrank, viel Sitzgelegenheiten an großen Tischen und Satellitenfernsehen auch mit deutschen Fernsehprogrammen (WiFi bestellbar), Einbauschränke im unteren Schlafzimmer auf gleicher Ebene boten viel Komfort und perfekte Sauberkeit nebst Gästetoilette. Die Steintreppe führt hoch zum langgeschnittenen Duschbad mit ausreichend bestellten und mitbezahlten Duschtüchern die auf der Solarium Terrasse aufgehängt werden konnten. Hier oben sowie in allen Räumen sind funktionierende Rolladen zum verdunkeln und Hitzeschutz bei Temperaturen von 26 bis 30 Grad Celsius Ende September/Anfang Oktober. Diese Reisezeit ist wieder einmal wunderbar um an den Kieselsteinstränden vor Altea oder Albir Sandstrandecke Liegen zu Mieten um das salzige warme Meer zu genießen! Für die laufende umgehende vorbildliche Kommunikation bedanken wir uns bei diesen professionellen Gastgebern. Wir wären sehr gerne länger geblieben als wir pünktlich um 9:50 Uhr die „Villa Buraux“ mit der ausgefüllten Inventarliste verließen. Die hinterlegte Kaution wurde am Abreisetag gutgeschrieben nach unserer pfleglicher Behandlung, leergeräumten Kühlgefrierschrank, handgespültes zurückgeräumtes Geschirr und Entsorgung aller Vorräte und Abfall.

UN VERITABLE COUP DE COEUR
Un véritable coup de coeur pour cet appartement idéalement situé dans la vieille ville d'Altéa avec une superbe vue sur la mer. Un très beau duplex décoré avec beaucoup de goût. Environnement très calme. Beaucoup de charme ! De plus les propriétaires sont charmants et très accueillants. C'est avec un immense plaisir que nous relouerons et je recommande vivement ce lieu qui est conforme au descriptif annoncé.

Lovely place!
We have spent in this apartment last two weeks of the August. Family of 5 person we like enjoy our vacation half day on the beach, half day visiting places. Location of this apartment is excellent for both! The best beaches for us were Calpe (Penon de Ifach – 15 minutes of driving) and Altea main beach (walking distance). The Benidorm beaches are very good too! but we found them very crowded in the August. Calpe with its crystal water is great for the snorkeling. The Altea is beautiful, especially at the evening, the apartment is very close to the old city and same time it is located on quite street. We visited Benidorm (Calle Santo Domingo street is excellent place for tapas), Alicante and Elche on south up to Salinas de Toreveja and Dunes of Guardamar, on north of course Valancia and Guadalest inside the country. We haven't regret any of these trips and highly recommend the place and this apartment, just be careful with underground parking, especially if you have a big car, the parking entrance is narrow. Good lack on Costa Blanca!

très agréable séjour dans un appartement impeccable,décoré avec goût et avec une superbe vue mer,le village adorable. la colline un peu dure à monter mais on est récompensé par le panorama . Pour nous,la voiture a été utile,pour les courses mais pour visiter une magnifique région.Je ne manquerai pas de rappeler la disponibilité,la gentillesse et la réactivité des propriétaires . Merci !

Très bon souvenir
Nous avons passé de tres bonnes vacances dans cet appartement, idéalement situé au centre historique d'Altéa, relations avec les propriétaires très bonnes, ils sont très sympathiques, attentifs a nos souhaits, dossier de location réalisé avec beaucoup de sérieux (plan, photos...), nous venons de voir que l'appartement a été refait a neuf avec beaucoup de gout sans supplement de prix, nous conseillons très vivement cette location, Nelly HUGUET et Jean Pierre ARMAND

what a wonderful location
We had a lovely holiday in this apartment even although the weather was unusually hot (35c). The location was perfect for the old town and dinner but Altea is a town of 2 halves, the beach is downhill but walk via the road (left from the apartment) and its only 10mins downhill, but if no car you will need a taxi back (E6). Amazing views from both terraces but its a shame there is only enough spacde for one sun-lounger, hence we ventured to the beach most days. Altea is not for the aged as its set in the steep hillside and has hundreds of cobbled steps and its really not for young children as the sea has quite a strong current but Altea is such a wonderful little "spanish" oasis. I think it would be good for Sonia and partner to invest in some blackout curtains the the lounge (east facing) and two effective air-con units for the 2 bedrooms - just a thought. On the whole though, a lovely apartment.

3 month in heaven
Before leaving to Altea, we had a very nice and easy correspondance with the owners. Very lovely people. We arrived to Altea, and was very exited. We found the apartement, and we were sold. A very bright and clean apartement. Everyting was as we would expect from the pictures. The apartement is fully equipped with everything you need to live there. We stayed there for 3 month, and we are certainly trying to rent this apartement next time we decide to go to Altea. There are so many restaurants and cafés that you can visit. Everything is in walking distance from the apartement, so you do not have to drive very much. So all in all, very recommendable.

Top Wohnung!
Die Wohnung war wie beschrieben sehr schön und geräumig. Die Lage ist sehr zentral und man kann alles zu Fuss erreichen. Die Wohnung befindet sich mitten in der wunderschönen Altstadt. Die Vermieter sind einfach klasse. Die Abwicklung verlief reibungslos und unkompliziert. Nochmals vielen lieben Dank an die Vermieter und wir werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen!

coup de coeur !
Nous avons passé un séjour plus qu'agréable ! Le duplex est très confortable, propre, spacieux, on se sent vite chez soi. C'est tout à fait conforme aux photos. La vieille ville d'Altéa est à peine à 50m de l'appartement. C'est une ville magnifique dont nous sommes tombés amoureux ! Les propriétaires sont charmants et toujours disponibles (téléphone , courrier, mail, ventilateur en panne + ampoules manquantes : tout est réglé dès le lendemain...). Je conseille vivement cette location...
