Suzanne's Cottage By The Sea is located on Oak Island, the ideal place for your next family vacation! This oceanfront house is steps away from the rolling waves of the Atlantic Ocean. A dazzling open floor plan and vaulted ceilings lead you to appreciate the beautiful vistas of the dunes and sea from the moment you walk in the front door. The open living, dining & kitchen areas offer a new coastal vibe that's ideal for relaxing and entertaining. You will find 4 appealing sized bedrooms and 2 full baths off the main living area all on one level. This home has been charmingly refreshed with modern coastal decor'. The kitchen is well supplied and offers a Keurig and a coffee pot.

Start your day in the oceanfront sunroom or sundeck taking in the magnificent vistas of the ocean, beach, and gorgeous sunrises! There's a generous size oceanfront sundeck space with steps leading down to the beach!

After putting the kids to bed, relax and enjoy a quiet evening taking in the beautiful sunsets from the sunroom or sundeck.

Only Saturday to Saturday weekly rentals during the entire year.

Publix and Dollar General are less than a mile, and Food Lion is 1.3 miles from our house. After your day on the beach you can enjoy many great restaurants nearby on Oak Island, and within a short driving distance, (15 minute drive), to Southport Marina.

This cottage is lovely. So we’ll thought out and decorated in a wonderful, cozy way.

The hosts are attentive to details and the communication was courteous and prompt. Loved the location and we were able to spend a relaxed visit with my daughter who lives on OKI and owns a business in Southport. So thankful for our stay at Suzanne’s Cottage.

Beautiful Cottage Right on the Beach.

This is a beautifully maintained and decorated cottage right on the beach, with just a dune between you and the ocean. Great communication with the host, and very enjoyable stay.

Very nice cottage and location

The cottage was lovely, I enjoyed being right next door to the beach access. The other amenities we needed like a grocery store were also very close by. The cottage was well equipped and the hosts were easy to communicate with. I would definitely recommend this property and hopefully we will be back

Fantastic House and Stay!! Such a cute and clean house!

We had a wonderful stay. It was perfect for alone time and family time (spent time alone and with mom and sister). It has a beach cottage feel for coziness with plenty of room for family. Everything is up-to-date and in good condition (microwave, oven, toilets, etc). The AC/thermostat is a Nest with a code that's not accessible by the guest. The owner is super responsive, so all good! House is super clean and cute with space for all and yoga on the porch. We really loved it. A great rental!! Could not recommend more.

Best Place to stay

The cottage was perfect. Great views, great access to the beach. We did have a water leak in one of the bedrooms from the AC Unit in the attic. The owners were very quick to contact someone and get it repaired. Would definitely stay there again

A Piece of Heaven

We had the time of our lives at this Oceanfront Cottage! Lovely place with Ideal location, Mobi beside house to walk to Beach, Gorgeous Deck with beautiful View! So thankful for a week of gorgeous weather and perfect water temperatures. We only wished we could have stayed another week! A week full of great memories in Suzanne's Cottage on Oak Island. Owner Rick was very responsive to our requests. :)

Greta beach front getaway

Great place, as advertised. Had a few things we needed help with and the property owner was so responsive and helpful! The beach is a little crowded since the public access is right next to it, but such a great spot on the island close to the grocery, stores, etc. Highly recommend.

Enjoyed the stay

The listing did a good job of representing the house properly, it was exactly what I expected. Some things that I enjoyed about the property: -Beach access was literally the next lot over. -The property has its own outdoor shower and sprayer so you can spray off sand when exiting the beach. -The large back deck provided a great view of the ocean. -The layout worked well for us with bedrooms on each corner, bathrooms in between, and common areas in the middle. -Four full size parking spaces. -Plenty of professionally washed linens and towels.

WOW

WOW, what a nice set up with all the essentials to make your stay feel right at home. Nice back deck with walking access to the beach as soon as you step off. DM’d the host a few times to clear a few things up, and they responded immediately. Place was super clean and enough room for 5 adults and 4 children. This was our moms first time ever seeing the ocean, and this place did not disappoint! I would highly recommend and will definitely be booking again for our next visit to Oak Island!

The house itself is great; nice sun room, right on the beach, nice layout. We had a few issues, however. The doors would not unlock when we first arrived on a hot August afternoon, and it took at least 10-15 minutes to get ahold of anyone to let us in (we also all needed to use the bathroom). There are also some issues with oversight between guests; previous guests left trash in the wrong bin so it never got picked up (and attracted flies), and the doors were very difficult to open. The host also asked me after we left why I didn’t clean off his beach chairs; well, we didn’t use them, they were used and left sandy by previous guests. He was also annoyed I didn’t tell him about the door being difficult to open, but I’m not the property manager. I don’t want to deal with handymen coming and going during my stay unless it is essential.

We began our short term rental venture in March 2019, with our historic row house, Matt's Place In The Strip, located in the Strip District of Pittsburgh, PA.
