This house was perfect for our yearly family vacation, every one had a comfortable bed, great living areas and good gathering porch. Our host was very helpful and we believe that we will use this house again.
Home is spacious and well appointed, great for large groups, plenty of parking for large trailers , easy access. Property is beautiful with walking trails ,mature trees, and wildlife, beautiful,Very relaxing. Close to atv/snowmobile trails . Definitely will stay again.
The property is pleasant and very rural which I enjoyed. There was plenty of sleeping space. The mattresses were too firm for my taste. I would recommend that mattresses toppers be added. But overall enjoyed my stay and would stay again.
Spacious secluded yard so kids could play outside. Basically 2 living areas so we could separate some. Close to Clear Lake, very sandy beach with clear water. Used table on deck where we had great view of the woods. Would have been nice to have more than 1 bathroom, but managed just fine. Very enjoyable weekend with family!
The property is pretty nice. We had 5 families in total staying. Thankfully my brother and his family brought their camper trailer to stay in. Pros: location, property size and layout, sleeping areas(4 bedrooms), washer and dryer availability, Air conditioning.
Cons: lack of kitchen services items, several lightbulbs throughout the cabin were burnt out, wasn't the cleanest, the small 1 bathroom for 13 people to use was definitely the largest downfall.
Overall we enjoyed our weekend!
Thank-you!
A beautiful property at the end of the road. Room for people to gather or spread out a bit if needed. Loved the open kitchen dining area and living room with high ceiling. Additional living room with fireplace and two of the bedrooms is cozy. The fireplace gets the whole room hot quick! It is what heats the rooms too, so keep the doors open to get the heat. Only wish is that there was another bathroom with a toilet and sink. We managed well though with plenty of hot water for showers. Nice deck with doorwalls opening to it and a large patio set. Overall a comfy place!
It was a great place to stay with our kids and grandkids. The cabin is beautiful, the area very peaceful. Fishing was fun in the nearby lakes. The backyard was perfect for lots of bocce ball games. We enjoyed our time there and made wonderful memories!!
This was the perfect place for our group! There was 10 of us (all adults) and never felt cramped! There was enough beds to accommodate 16 people! So much room for everyone to move around and not feel like we were on top of each other! The decor is so pretty and they have everything you need for the perfect get away! We definitely will be back! Alyssa was so accommodating and communication was easy!
Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us!
We stayed for 2 weeks during out hunting trip. It was per6for our needs. Away from the highway and quite. The fireplace was great to warm up by after a day in the woods. Kitchen was well stocked with everything needed to prepare meals. Beds were comfortable. Communication with the owner was the best I've experienced. Will definitely here again!
Pros:
Owner was very responsive to communications and made the process easy.
House is nice for a vacation house. Plenty of room for multiple adults.
Property is very private and quiet, which was great. The outside pictures don't show what's on the other side of the front of the house - its more woods. The home is at the end of a long private driveway so if privacy is something you appreciate - this place is great.
Cons:
Our group is used to using internet frequently - surfing on your phone, watching movies/tv online, etc. The wi-fi provided was quite slow (tested at 7-10 mbps.) One of the days it was even slower than the tested results which made watching anything difficult (constant buffering./stopping of content.) I was able to use a mobile hot spot (Verizon) for that night, so overall this was a minor inconvenience.
On Monday night, as we were watching football, we noticed some movement in the house. Turned out there was a mouse running through the middle of the front room. In investigating it ran into the laundry room and we were unable to find it again. In looking for it, however, we were able to find mice bait placed in a rooms of the house, which indicated to us that the owners were aware of the rodent problem but did not mention that in the add. Had we known that this house had a mouse problem, we would have certainly picked another house. After the incident with the mouse we made sure not to leave any clothes on the ground, put all food up high on the refrigerator, etc.
If the owner can get the mouse issue under control this would be a great place to stay for any groups looking for a northern Michigan getaway.
This place appears to be an old northern Michigan deer camp. There's plenty of sleeping space for a larger group. The living area isn't substantial, but the large outdoor areas make up for it.
This is a great place for a family or group that wants to experience an up-north, in the woods, away from it all kind of trip. It's not near all the large attractions, but if you want to kick-back and just get away from things, this is a good spot.
We really enjoyed our stay and will keep it in mind for the future.
Was perfect get away after long wedding week before
My family owned this cabin sense the 50’s and was sold early a few year back sure was great pulling back down that long drive and seeing the cabin again, was nice sitting around telling the wife all about my childhood memories taking four wheeler for ride back thew the trails my grandpa cut and I can remember my entire childhood, the new owners are excellent people I love the improvement they’ve made to the place good to know it went to such a nice family, hopping to book another weekend yet this fall
