Weekend stay in May left some to be desired
I recently stayed at this cabin and while there were some aspects I appreciated, there were several issues that would prevent me from rebooking or recommending it to others. I would not recommend this property to families with young kids or individuals with allergies. Pros: The beds were comfortable. The couch was particularly cozy. There was ample room for our group of four and two dogs, without feeling cramped. Cons: Cleanliness was a major concern upon arrival. We discovered old moldy food in one of the rooms and trash on the couch, which was disappointing and unsanitary. The entire cabin was very dusty, exacerbating allergies. There was an unpleasant smell that required airing out the cabin for a good hour before it dissipated. The front screen door was problematic. Its springs were under a lot of tension, causing it to slam shut loudly and forcefully, which is a safety hazard, especially for children, as it has exposed metal that could easily cause injury. Thermostat control is not available to guests. The owner sets it to either heat or AC, and it cannot be adjusted during your stay. Despite staying in late May, the thermostat was set to heat, making one of the nights uncomfortably hot. We managed with fans and lighter bedding, but the inability to control the temperature was inconvenient. In summary, while the cabin had its comforts, the cleanliness issues, safety hazards, and lack of temperature control made the stay less enjoyable.

Cozy house in Poconos
Cozy, dog friendly house. Beds were comfortable and was roomy for two people. Host communicated well and promptly responded to messages. Air conditioning worked well but was very loud even at low fan speed. Location of place was good, close to hiking areas, water park and eateries.

Very convenient location
The property is true to the listing/photos! We had a little bit of a hiccup checking in, but the host was quick to resolve it. The property was plenty enough for my family and dog. It's super close to a brewery/distillery, minutes away from the Outlets, and within a half hour os so many different things! If the opportunity arises in the future, I would stay hear again!

Nice cottage, lots of traffic noise
We liked the cottage very much. It was very clean with lots of thoughtful details. But it wasn’t very good for sitting out by a fire or walking your dog around because the traffic was quite fast, close and loud and there was no fencing. I’m guessing this probably would not bother most people, though.

Charming cottage close to all
My husband and I had a lovely stay here. The house was very clean and comfortable for the 2 of us and our 2 dogs. The code lock made leaving/returning super easy (no key to lose). Very quiet neighborhood, yet only 5 minutes up to Camelback and less than 15-20 to downtown Stroudsburg and the Delaware Water Gap. Would not hesitate to book again!

little cute place in the woods
this home was perfect for our quick weekend get away! it is very small but had just the room we needed for 6 adults. there is a brewery with great food and drinks 1 minute away and a cozy firepit in the yard. we did lose power for less than a minute but everything eventually came back on and was fine.

Small cottage
This tiny cottage is a good location for skiing, shopping, and a few local restaurants. The house is in need of several repairs, but the owners did a nice job decorating and providing useful items. The bedrooms get cold at night since the heat source is in the main room, so if you close the doors- it gets COLD. A few extra blankets would have been nice! The fridge is also not working properly. I communicated with the owner prior and she told me she would check on it. The fridge seems ok, but when you put food in it, it will not keep anything cold. We luckily brought a cooler to keep important things from spoiling. Sadly we did have to throw away a lot of food. We spent a lot of time outside and our kids had fun and it was nice to getaway. For a short trip, this is a good spot that is inexpensive. Hopefully, the owner will replace the fridge.

Perfect Weekend Away
My husband, my dog, and myself thoroughly enjoyed our weekend away at Big Pocono State Park. The house was exactly as described, and the location was perfect for the activities we planned on doing. We were able to hike every day in the state park, with a very short drive. The house is perfectly located around restaurants and other activities. The house had more than enough space for us, and was fully equipped with everything we could have needed. It was extremely clean! The process for Check in and check out was simple and very user friendly. My only suggestion comes from a lesson learned. In the winter months, keep the bathroom door propped open during the day. Of the door is closed, the heat doesn’t make its way over there, resulting in a very chilly bathroom experience! Overall, we had a wonderful experience, and would love to return again.

Clean and excellent location
We were very impressed with this place. Very clean and much roomier than it looks online. Was in a great location, only 5 minutes away from Camelback Mountain and Adventures and minutes away from Big Pocono State Park as well as restauraunts and shops. Megan was great with instructions on how to check in, etc. Would definitely stay there Again. Again we were very pleased with our stay.

Great stay
We stayed at the cottage for two nights and really enjoyed it. The best parts were the reclining couch (holy wow!), the comfortable beds, the sounds of trees and crickets through the many open windows, the proximity to restaurants and Big Pocono mountain while still feeling secluded and quiet. We'd love to come again!

Family getaway
Thank you for a lovely stay at your cottage. The location was beautiful and very convenient to restaurants and shops. We had some difficulty with the internet that kept cutting out, but understandable being in the mountains. The outside of the cottage could have been cleaned. There was an abundance of trash in the pails that made it impossible to sit outside near the fire pit, due to the strong garbage smell and flies. Also, garbage strewn on the hill in the backyard.

Great Little House By Big Pocono Mountain
This house was the perfect spot for us to spend some quality time as a family. We went on a couple hikes, ate some nice takeout from nearby, and enjoyed evening fire pits while looking up at the stars. The neighborhood is quiet, but still close enough to where you'd want to go. Everything in the house was clean and the setup was perfect for keeping an eye on the kids. We'll definitely be back again!

This place is a gem
From reservation to check out, the process was easy and landlords were responsive and accommodating. Had a really good time here with my wife, son, and in-laws. The yard is tranquil and at night you have the benefit of turning on the pit. The property also has a functioning gas grill which made our time here even better. If you want a place to relax and enjoy outside, this is a good place for that. The Big Pocono Park is also a 5min drive with some decent trails. Couldn’t have asked for more during our mini vacation.

Great little spot in the Poconos!
Our stay here was great! The property manager was very communicative and easy to get in touch with. This house is in a good location near hiking, paintball, breweries and other stuff to do. We had an issue with the refrigerator staying cold, but got around it with bags of ice.

Great stay!!
My husband and I stayed here with our 2 dogs. It was exactly what we had hoped for. Location was perfect! Cottage was just as pictured. Quaint and well maintained. Old property but has character—not to be viewed as a newly renovated, pristinely kept property. Has wear but the bed was comfortable and the kitchen very spacious. Fire pit is a small mobile one but very usable. Received our check in instructions promptly the night before. Refrigerator and freezer takes some time to cool down to the the right temperature when you first arrive. Enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again!
