Welcome to my home in Estes Park!
After a decade living abroad, I made this little mountain town at the foot of the rockies my home for seven months of the year. The rest of the year I share it with you! With views of Meeker and Longs and all the amenities of your own home, this is the perfect base from which to get out and enjoy the outdoors. House is 2 bedroom, 2 full bath with a queen sleeper sofa in the living room.
THINGS I LOVE:
- PEACEFULNESS: This home is in a quiet, residential neighborhood with spectacular views of the mountains from the front porch. There are often deer, elk, and other wildlife that roam through the backyard.

- ENDLESS FUN: Hiking, fishing, climbing, horseback riding, cross country skiing, backcountry skiing, snowshoeing, wildlife viewing and more. RMNP and the whole area is a playground to enjoy all the mountains have to offer.
- REMOTE WORK: 1GB internet for anyone needing to work from home or who just wants to stream some shows.

About the host
Hosted by Charity Watson

Hi! I'm Charity.
After years spent traveling around the world and being welcomed into so many people's homes, I'm immensely excited to be able to welcome you into mine. I grew up in Wisconsin before coming out to school at the University of Colorado in Boulder where I studied International Affairs. I spent my summers working here in Estes Park - roaming in the mountains by day and waiting tables by night.
After college I spent nearly a decade working abroad - first for 4 years in East Africa on various humanitarian and development initiatives, and then in Afghanistan for 6 years, initially on humanitarian projects and later as a conflict analyst. When the pandemic struck, I was far too tired to ride it out in a war zone and decided it was time to head home.
I landed in Estes Park for what I thought would be a few months to get my feet under me again and figure out what was next, but life had other plans. I found unexpected roots in the incredible community and wondrous nature here, which helped my tired soul so burdened by the pain of war and human suffering find peace and a sense of hope and joy once again. I bought this home as a place where I could continue to rejuvenate my spirit, and with the intention that I could create a home to share that same peace with others.

Why they chose this property
I bought this property to be a place where I could find the quiet of the mountains, a slower pace of living in a small town, and a community that is authentic and simply loves to get outside and play. I wanted to live a simpler life. This little home has everything I need: a kitchen to cook and bake, views of the mountains, an extra room for guests, and an opportunity to share it with others while I'm away.
What makes this property unique
I'm an amateur woodworker in the making and many of the pieces around the house I've created myself. After seeing so much of the world's challenges, I find great joy in simply making something beautiful. From the decor to the location to the amenities like a full kitchen, I hope this will feel just like your own home away from home.
