Our stay was very nice, the house is great! Communication with Melissa was very easy, She responded to all of my questions very quickly! I would recommend this property!
We had a wonderful long weekend at this cabin, which is in a beautiful location on the lake. The cabin is very comfortable with all the modern conveniences and a very well equipped kitchen. The host was responsive and helpful and provided great tips for dining in the area. We would definitely recommend!
We stayed at Timberwolf on Paradox Lake to have a good view of the eclipse and to experience the ADKs in spring. The house was actually nicer than expected. Usually staged photos make the places look better online than in person but in this case it was actually the opposite.
There was plenty of room for all 5 of us and we all enjoyed our stay.
A lovely late October weekend in the Adirondacks. This is a well set up cabin with a wonderful lake view. The owners send very detailed directions and access instructions. Read them ahead of time! It's tricky to get to the cabin, especially in the dark.
Timberwolf was a very comfortable place for 2 couples to meet up and enjoy some lake time. It could easily accommodate several more people. The cabin is modern, clean, and well-stocked. Lake access is a short walk across the gravel road and down some steps. Normal healthy folks shouldn't have any trouble with the steps. However, if there are mobility limitations, the steps would likely be difficult to manage. Paradox Lake is great for swimming and boating. A few power boats seem to zoom around a bit too fast, but most were careful to give swimmers and kayakers some space. Overall, we found Timberwolf to be a very enjoyable basecamp for both adventure and relaxation. The hostess was responsive and helpful. I hope to return and rent one of their cabins again!

Stay at Timberwolf
The property was good but lacked space to gather as a family except the dining room table. No livingroom or den to all sit together to watch movies or football. A little disappointing.
We decided very last minute to take a trip, booked on a Tuesday and left the next day! Melissa was excellent with communication and was able to meet our last minute booking request! We had never been to the area but I think we found an absolute gem at Paradox Lake. It was a beautiful, big lake with clean water to swim in. My kids enjoyed the floating dock and using the kayaks and pedal boat. We also brought our paddle board and tube. The property has lots of steps to the water but we had no trouble with getting up and down them. The deck by the water was perfect to sit at as well as the shared fire pit at night. We enjoyed sitting on the deck at the house having coffee. The kids loved all the games at the house when it rained and even when we lost power! The house was fully stocked and Melissa even went above and beyond when we lost power for a bit! We made a lot of family memories while there! The WiFi worked well since we had no cell service. As long as we were on the wifi, we were ok! The town of Schroon Lake was perfect for shopping and dinner, it is also a very pretty lake! We can’t wait to visit the area again! Thank you so much Melissa!!
Spent a winter weekend at the cabin, toasty warm, comfortable and in a great location for hiking (alas, not enough snow for cross country skiing). Terrific hosts (thank you!), comfortable beds, beautiful sunsets - what more could we ask for?
A beautiful and comfortable cabin with lovely views. We loved snowshoeing on the lake. Melissa was incredibly informative, helpful and flexible. We all had a wonderful time and highly recommend.
We had such a great time! Beautiful little spot in paradise. House was extremely clean and very charming. The whole family loved it. We’ll be back for sure.
We really enjoyed our stay in this very clean, cozy and beautifully situated house on Paradox Lake. It’s secluded while also close enough for exploring the lake placid region and hiking/skiing/Nordic skiing in the Adirondacks. Nicely renovated and very well stocked kitchen, new appliances, and a good gas stove if you like to cook. The photos don’t do this property justice!
