We enjoyed our stay. It is in a good location to escape the heat and be able to go hiking, fishing, and visiting Bryce Canyon. The hot tub was great and the TV entertainment was better than most places. Bobbie was extremely prompt to respond to our questions. Great property.
We enjoyed the cabin and our winter vacation at this property. The celebration of New Year was really magical - it was snowing so beautifully! The cabin was very spacious for our big group (7 adults and 6 kids). The cabin itself is very cozy, friendly environment, plenty of room (3 levels). The rooms were clean and beds were comfortable, the bathrooms were nice and clean. The basement was large, 2 bunkbeds, sofas, everything clean. The foosball table was a fun activity. Large kitchen and lots of handy stuff to use. Having the sauna was a great addition.
We were lucky to spot a couple of wild turkeys passing in the front of the cabin. We will definitely recommend this cabin!
We loved our stay! It was a great place for my family and our group of friends- lots of space, kids loved the basement hang-out and sleeping area. The hot tub was amazing and the kitchen was well stocked. Great place in a beautiful forested location!
We are 4 sisters coming together for a fun weekend!
When we entered the cabin it felt cozy and comfortably inviting. As we went through our weekend we appreciated the cleanliness of the cabin along witb nice bedrooms and bathrooms and clean linens. The beautiful pine trees surrounding the cabin are so wonderful and uplifting of one's spirit; to see out the several windows letting in the nature of life and the sunshine was so relaxing! In the evening, even though it was cold , we had a blast in the clean, spacious hot tub laughing and listening to music on the fabulous covered deck with low lighting and natural perfect ambiance of nature stretching all the way across the back of the property. Then to step back in the warm, comfortable cabin and sit in the living room enjoying the wood pellet fireplace and movies on the awesome wide screen tv. Just a perfect weekend! Would highly recomend a stay at this amzing cabin!
BAT and Bugs at this cabin, NEVER AGAIN! Heartless about situation and compensation.
It was past midnight, and our daughter-in-law went to get in bed and she felt something fly by her head! It was a BAT! She screamed loudly, and my husband came running. The bat landed and was hanging on the log wall. We took a picture for proof for the owner. We messaged the owner and she called the DWR. The DWR officer arrived and discovered bat guano, but NO BAT! He said that the bat went up through the insulation to get out. He said shutting down 1 bedroom wouldn't stop the bat from entering in ANY of the bedrooms upstairs. The bat was in the attic/insulation above ALL the upstair rooms. The bat could reappear ANYWHERE! The officer wanted to kill the bat to send it in to test for RABIES. He said, often people don't realize they've been bit! The officer was not willing to climb through insulation and left without retrieving the BAT!
My family had to scheduled PTO, and we made many arrangements for this trip. It's a 9-hour round-trip drive. We towed our SXS, dirt bikes, paddle boards and kayaks. We spent $1000 total in gas and groceries. How could we abandon this trip with SO much money invested? Every night was scary for all of us to go to bed. Can you imagine lying there in the dark hoping a bat doesn't land on your face? Needless to say, we didn't sleep well!
Also in the bunkroom downstairs, we killed 2 large spiders, on different nights, and my 12 year old son found 2 large crickets in his bed! YIKES! One got away, but my son managed to kill one of them and yelled for me! I came running down. He was SO terrified that he'd been sleeping with 2 big crickets in his sheets! This is 4 insects in the course of our 4 night stay in one room! I took a picture of the large dead cricket for proof.
We paid so much money for 4 nights at this cabin. We reached out to the owner for compensation. We didn't ask for a full refund, because during the day we left to do our activities and didn't worry about the bat. The owner must ensure their cabin is free from PESTS. Please don't tell me we are in the woods, and I should expect it. We just asked for 50% compensation/refund because we SALVAGED our trip and stayed. We felt that sharing the burden equally was fair for both owner and our family. However, the owner refused to compensate 50% and SHARE responsibility! She said, you chose to stay. How heartless! She BARELY refunded 1/7th of our TOTAL cost of her cabin! There was a FREAKING BAT flying around us in her cabin and CRICKETS in my son's bed!
We rented this cabin for a long weekend, and loved it. The bedroom were comfortable, and the kids’ bunk room was a hit. The bathrooms were clean and spacious. The kitchen was fully stocked, and the blackstone griddle made cooking for a large group easy. The hot tub and sauna were so relaxing after a long day out at Brianhead. We would love to stay here again!
We stayed the week after Christmas and the house was warm and cozy for our arrival. They even had a Christmas tree! Nice cabin, the jacuzzi added to the experience. The folks in Duck Creek were nice especially at Falcons Nest where we rented snowmobiles. Would recommend to friends.
We enjoyed this cabin and property, there is plenty of room, it is located in a nice area with lots of activities, wish we could have stayed another week.
Location was great. So much to see and do in the area. All the Village and shops employees were very nice. People in the area seemed very nice too. We took an UTV, 3 kayaks and fishing gear and used them all. We did some backroads trails to the Ice Cave and lookout point that was very accessible and beautiful. Every day we would see deer in the area. We fished Navajo and Panquitch lakes and cooked up a nice trout dinner one night. Cabin was very spacious and was intended for our extended family of 12, but only 6 could make the trip. The pictures represent the cabin accurately, although some updating could be done. The Blackstone grill was a big hit as we cooked several meals on it (so now I will have buy one for home). Feeding the chipmunks peanuts from the local True Value was a hit with the GKids. Sleeping and bathrooms we nice. I could see us returning to this property again someday.
We recently rented two cabins for a family reunion with 25 people. Half of the group stayed at this location and it was perfect for the 2 families who had kids under 12. The kids all stayed in the bunk room and had a great time and the parents each had a little bit of privacy. The bunk beds looked a little saggy but the kids didn’t complain! The hot tub was wonderful, especially in the afternoons when it was rainy, since the hot tub was covered on the deck.
Great size and location, but could use some updates
Would recommend, but be sure to take close look at pictures so you know what to expect.
Cabin fit our bedroom and bathroom needs and was conveniently located between Bryce and Zion as well as many other nearby hikes. We had 6 adults upstairs and 5 kids in the basement. Owner was responsive when we had questions. Deducting a star as the lot and the house could really use some cleaning and updating. Got the feeling the owner simply leaves when it happens to get rented. Did not seem professionally cleaned and minimal investment has been made towards fixing or updating things. Getting rid of the carpet (especially in the bathroom and kitchen...gross!) would help tremendously. Would add some chairs to the front porch and patio as well. Also, we had to go to town to fill the propane upon 1st use, which wasn't a big deal, however I have since read other reviewers that had to do the same.
This property was nice. The accommodations were a little outdated but good enough. Bugs and spiders are probably normal in a mountain cabin but they seemed a little excessive during our stay. Sleeping arrangements were okay. We had 10 adults, 6 on regular mattresses and 4 sleeping on futon mattresses. The futon's were not super comfy. The hot tub had a strong chlorine smell but seemed clean enough. Sauna worked perfectly. Overall, the stay was nice and we'd probably do another short stay there. The place is nice but could definitely use a refresh; especially the old carpet. Location was amazing, we were only an hour from Bryce Canyon and there are several caves (mammoth, cascade falls and Ice Cave) near by that everyone enjoied.
Everything was as described. Convenient to lakes and parks. House is spacious and clean. Grounds are shady. Will definitely recommend to others. The only thing I didn't like was the rough roads leading in, but that's the nature of the area. Host was very prompt in answering my questions.
Size of home and number of bathrooms accommodated my group nicely. Hot tub and sauna were nice after long days of hiking. Property manager was friendly. Pictures adequately represent the property. Neighborhood was very peaceful and quiet. Gave 4 stars instead of 5 because (1) outdoor grill gas tank was empty, and we had planned several meals for the grill that then had to be cooked inside on stove or oven and location and (2) property manager was a little slow to answer my question about the empty gas tank and (3) property was a little difficult to drive to.
Other than not having hot water the first night, having to rush and shower so all 9 of us would have hot water the other two nights, losing power and not having a generator for back up.... the cabin was great. Beautiful inside and out. Our children had an amazing time
