We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home. Great location, and lots of things to do. The kids really enjoyed the ping pong table, and the playhouse in the back yard.
This home was really nice and comfortable, and had everything we needed. Made a great base stay for our visit to the redwood national and state parks. While nicely tucked away a little outside the city, the home still had easy access to grocery stores.
Kids loved the table tennis setup and played a lot.
This home was great for our family with teenagers. The home itself looks like it's a little older, but has has some nice updates. It was well stocked. My kids loved the ping-pong table and visiting the chicken out back.
It is further out of town than I was anticipating, but that wasn't an issue for us. It was a great landing place for out visit to the Redwoods.
Our Adult Children came up for Christmas and the house was even decorated for the holiday! Firewood provided was a bonus for the game room stove and the ping pong table was enjoyed! I recommend this property to anyone.
We had rented a cabin outside of town. Which ended up being completely unfurnished. The property was a welcome change of plans with bed and running water in a central location for the activities we had planned. The ping pong table was a huge hit and they played every moment possible.
Overall the experience of renting this property was perfect. Communication with the host and check in was flawless. I reserved this property as a Christmas gift for my adult son and I to explore the Redwoods. It did not disappoint! The property was well maintained and very clean. Had a wonderfully cozy atmosphere but very large and roomy. Was located perfectly in between the beach and the Redwoods. Also had the convenience of stores around to grab quick necessities. Highly recommend and hopefully can rent again in the future.
It is homes like these that really make Vrbo shine! The home is unassuming from the outside, but as soon as you walk in, you can tell that the owner invested a lot of time and effort into making the home as attractive and comfortable as possible. My family of five was wowed when we walked in the door and started exploring around. The decor was inviting, the home was very clean, and it felt very comfortable from the moment we showed up. Up. The location was perfect for us, which was remote enough for a quiet and secluded stay, but at the same time close enough to Crescent City and the redwood forest that it made for a perfect launching spot for us. I highly recommend this home!

Family Time Together
We enjoyed our stay. It was clean and we were able to get to and from our activities easily and have a comfortable place to cook and relax. The kids loved the tree house. Yard was nice and spacious.
We did have trouble with unlocking door and refrigerator smelled like fish. I would also like to suggest better communication about check in information. We received the the information the day we were traveling there and I saw the email about entry but not about house rules. I was looking for info when we arrived. I think a heads up to future guests would be a good idea. Such as you will receive house rules and entry info the day you arrive via email.
We definitely liked the house and would recommend to other guests with a family.
Cleanest vacation rental we’ve stayed in. Very comfortable, about 10 minutes out of town. Quiet neighborhood.
There were a few things that were a little annoying if you plan on cooking. Kitchen knives and scissors won’t even cut a plastic bag, very dull. No Saran Wrap, foil, Tupperware or anything for leftovers. And if you want to use the bbq outside you have to go buy your own propane tank.
It would also be nice if there was a luggage rack or dresser or just unlock the closet in the master bedroom. There’s no place to put suitcases or unpack your clothes.
Other than that we enjoyed staying here, ping pong was fun. Very clean and comfortable.

Very hard to communicate with property manager
Need improvement of check in and check out. Did not receive check in information one day before checking. Property manager told us that she can give door access information at the checkin day by text. I will drive wood area and no cell phone acess. Finally I take to her and access information one day before I check in. Also I spend more then one hours to open key lock because she change lock access code before I check out. I call her and she give new access code. House is ok but property management is bad. Also she want to take out gabage can to drive way. I use vacation house every year but this is first time to garbage can out. I am not going back this home until management change.
We stayed at this rental for its proximity to the coastal redwoods and the southern Oregon beaches. Here are some things that stood out:
- The location was very convenient, with quick access to main avenues to good hiking and tidepooling.
- Main bathroom shower is awesome. Perfect water pressure, very attractive, and lots of space.
- Main bedroom bed is very comfortable, much better than beds in most rentals.
- The yard is lovely and the chickens were charming.
- The yard and house are private from the neighbors.
- The ping pong table was really fun.
- House was clean and inviting.
- Everything that we used worked as expected: washer/dryer, dishwasher, stove/oven, plumbing, wi-fi, etc.
- House was dark inside and could benefit from more lighting.
- Fridge, though clean, smelled strongly of fish inside. We bought a box of baking soda but it didn’t seem to help. The food we brought home from our trip even smelled like fish.
- Power went out throughout Crescent City for a couple of hours at night and cell service was not working either. Had to drive 15 minutes to the dark city center to get enough reception to call the owner, who was also out of power, and informed us that it is unfortunately not an infrequent occurrence due to the aging power grid in Crescent City. Fortunately power did not stay out for long.
- Homeowner was pleasant to deal with.
- Checkout was easy, with not much asked of us.
Great experience overall. Would stay here again.

A basic place to stay
The house was very clean and safe. The beds were comfortable. I had to reach out to get check in information the day before because I hadn't heard anything. We had an issue with the key, but she was very responsive. This is first time there was no binder with information about the house, check in, check out process, area information, etc. I stay at VRBO properties to have some of the comforts of home. This house was so basic, like staying in a hotel, without any of the nice extras. It would be great to have some pens, scissors, extra shampoo, conditioner, soap, board or card games, a liquid measuring cup. I know they aren't a requirement, but it makes the stay more home like. We weren't sure what to do for check out and a week later we haven't heard anything. There was only one chicken, not 2 which left us wondering what happened to the other chicken because the coop was open when we arrived. The playhouse door doesn't open. It wasn't a big deal to us because our kids are teens, but if I had little ones it would be disappointing. The grill was disgusting so we cleaned it. To summarize, it was clean, beds comfortable, but not a home, just a place to stay. Also, I recommend not paying the $3000 deposit and go with the insurance. I would be nervous about getting the $ refunded with the limited communication.
The place was exceptionally clean. Place was exactly as described. The two chickens did a great job of providing me fresh eggs for breakfast. The place was in a quiet area and only about ten minute drive to the beach. The host was easy to get a hold of and very kind. Check in was super easy. I would stay here again.
The house was close to Crescent City and it was easy to drive to the redwoods from the property. I wish the manager would have been more responsive to early inquiries but did respond to issues once we were there. Biggest problem was lack of lighting in the living room. We received new bulbs for a ceiling fixture but they were the wrong size. Had to use bulbs from another fixture. Climbing on a chair to change light bulbs was not on our relaxation agenda. Property also could have used a lawn mowing.
