Reunion

A group of friends stayed here for a reunion weekend. The number of beds and bedrooms was a good fit for our group. The back patio was a great breakfast spot. The neighborhood was quiet. The front door lock was a little finicky. The kitchen had everything we needed, but we didn’t cook much. The downstairs shower was low on soap and the dishwasher soap was also almost gone. All in all it was a great stay.

Friends reunion

Six friends gathered for a yearly reunion. Home was very accommodating because beds were kings, we could each have a room and the luxury of two baths. The kitchen allowed us to make our meals without leaving. Our only disappointment was forgetting tinfoil or Saran for leftovers. Would be nice to add to kitchen.

Perfect for family weekend

We spent a long weekend in Appleton, visiting our son, a student at Lawrence. The house was very conveniently located on a nice quiet street, not far from campus. House was cozy, welcoming, very clean, and perfect for a weekend of family time!

Comfortable, clean house. Easy checkin. Requested high chair online (available add-on during checkout) but never provided. Had to buy one. Other than that, it was as expected.

Appleton Vacation

We rented this property so that my husband, uncle, daughter, and cousin could go see the Green Bay Packers game on New Year’s Day. The property was very nice! Plenty of room for our group, and great amenities! The bedrooms were all good size, but our favorite area was the living/dining room and the screened in porch. We would definitely recommend this place and hope to stay again in the future!

Great Place!

Property was great. Communication was proactive and very clear. House itself was perfect. Made use of the grill and the 3 seasons room was the perfect place for my friends and I to catch up during the evening rain we had during our trip. If my friends and I do the same trip to Appleton, we'll definitely be getting this place again!

Great family stay in a quiet neighborhood

Awesome little house in a family neighborhood. Bedrooms up and downstairs to help accommodate our mix of young’ns and retirees. 5 minutes to 4 parks and another couple to downtown. We try to stay with Mark B and his listings as they’re always so well thought out.

I was pleased that all was as good or better than expected. The house was very clean. Bathrooms and bedrooms specifically get like we were the first people to be there. Neighborhood was very nice as well. Appleton has much to offer. Way to go!

Surprisingly spacious home!

The inside of the house is very cute and surprisingly spacious. It’s a very relaxing environment to spend time in. The screened porch is larger than it seemed in the picture (though not big), and it gets very good cross-flow, so it is a very enjoyable space. The outside has a lot of deferred maintenance like peeling paint, and the step from the patio into the screened porch is really high, so my elderly relatives had to walk around the house to the front door every time. The patio is a nice size. When you rent from a big outfit there can be downsides, though, since the owner has not spent any time in the place. For example, some of the kitchen items you might expect are not there or in short supply (measuring cups/spoons, kitchen towels, etc.), and there’s no blinds in the kitchen so the sun hits your eyes when washing dishes. But overall we had a very nice stay, and the location was wonderful. If you get approval to access the property early make sure to confirm the day of, because the manager forgot and our key code didn’t work yet at the earlier time, and it was challenging to reach the contact for the property when we needed him.

A charming house

I thought the house to be charming on the inside. The amenities were very considerable. The outside needs some TLC. It was raining the day we arrived, the cushions to the outside patio were still outside, and the little deck off the second floor had the outside rug and cushion and chase soaked to the deck. If, we wanted to use these items. it would of taken days to dry.

A great stay...

Came home to be with family for the Holiday weekend. Decided to go with this house on VRBO. It was very spacious and covered all our needs and created a wonderful time and place for us to visit with our family during Thanksgiving. Everything we needed was there for us, and the beds were truly the best! We will definitely stay again and would recommend. We are staying at another one of this hosts houses during Christmas and very excited already! Thanks for making our Holiday weekend great!

Comfort, style, and space, more than meets the eye!

This is a wonderful place for your family to stay during an Appleton visit. Quiet, lovely, tree lined neighborhood. Host Mark is wonderful and responsive. As others have mentioned, it's a pottery barn type delight inside. Plenty of room to spread out. I enjoyed sitting on the 3 seasons porch with tea and my laptop. Great WiFi. Easy to get to Lawrence and surrounding areas. Loved our stay!

Perfect for a weekend getaway

Property was exactly as described. We had a very nice stay and Mark was super easy to communicate with! However, be prepared - there are no condiments or cooking accessories. We shopped before arrival and had to go back out for oil, salt, pepper, spices etc. Not a biggie, but would have been nice to know beforehand. Most places we've rented have the cooking basics on hand.

Lawrence Football Weekend

This is an awesome property. It is very unassuming from the outside, but the inside is AMAZING. There are spacious bedrooms on both floors with a terrific kitchen. Additionally, the Living Room space is huge with a great dining room table that seats 8! The backyard with the 3 season porch is the icing on the location. We hosted players from the LU football team for a backyard BBQ and it was a great space for everyone. I would highly recommend and would stay here again. Thanks Mark.

The house was beautiful. It would have been nice to have bedside tables beside the beds on 1st floor bedrooms. The toilet on the 1st floor bathroom was cracked and was uncomfortable to sit on. Overall it was a good 1st time VRBO experience ! Thank you.

Awesome property, close to everything

We've stayed all over Appleton and we're always surprised at just how close everything is. The property was great for 3 generations of our family. The beds are all new and don't kill your back, the furniture was ample and the indoor / outdoor spaces were just enough. Mark is a great manager and responded to our messages promptly. We'd definitely stay again.
