About this property

Columbia Mountain Cabin - Near Glacier NP, Big Private Backyard w Mountain Views

Our cabin is conveniently located off highway 2 at the foot of Columbia Mountain. It offers easy access to Glacier National Park (12min to the west entrance) and everything the Flathead Valley has to offer, including a quick trip to Whitefish Mountain. The home is outfitted with everything you need for a wonderful stay in majestic Montana.

The space
This charming 2 bedroom, one bath log cabin is the perfect space for a Montana getaway. The cabin is just under 1000 square feet, featuring an open concept living, dining, and kitchen area that includes an island, full size kitchen, dining table, wood furnace, and comfortable living room.

There are 2 bedrooms, one upstairs (double bed + air mattress and pack n play if needed) and one downstairs (queen bed). The upstairs bedroom is loft-style (it does not have a door) and has a platform bed. It is the only room upstairs and is quite private. The main level also has a full bath and laundry.

Additionally, there is a large back deck with views of both Teakettle and Columbia Mountains, a table and chairs, hammock, and a fire ring for campfires (depending on fire restrictions). We have WiFi and an apple TV available, but do not have cable. The cabin is also equipped with plenty of board games, books and a dvd collection.

Guest access
The entire cabin is all yours for the duration of your stay as well as the backyard fire pit and outdoor space. The property also features a beautiful green house in the backyard where depending on the time of year guest can check out fresh herbs and vegetables.

The property has great views and is nestled among trees, however it is close to Highway 2. While extremely convenient, this also means you may experience minimal road noise.

Cute cabin with close proximity to Glacier

We had a great stay at the cabin. The best thing about it is that it’s close to Glacier National Park, the airport, and not too far from Whitefish. The cabin had everything we needed and was very comfortable, except that there is no central AC and it was really warm. There are several fans but with these hot temps, it wasn’t always cutting it. Otherwise a great stay!

Glacier Park

We stayed at the cabin for two nights. The cabin was fully equipped to cook or grill outside. Location was great but the day we arrived we didn’t get there until 10PM. It was dark and finding the street was challenging. If you stay at this lovely cabin check in before nightfall to fully appreciate the cabin.

Relaxing cabin outside West Glacier

Wonderful place to stay and relax after spending the day hiking trails in Glacier National Park. Short drive to the West Glacier entrance as well as the grocery store and restaurants of Columbia Falls.

Nice little cabin almost in the woods

Awesome cabin! It was much bigger than we expected. While It sits right on route 2 with some traffic noise the property itself was fairly secluded. The cabin was well equipped - kitchen and appliances in addition to games, books, and videos (I am happy to say we didn’t have any down time to take advantage of those)! So much to to do in the Glacier National Park area and this served well as our base of operations. It was a great place to welcome the sunrise from the hammock and we recommend it for anyone visiting the area!

Stayed a week and were very happy. Kind hosts.

Nice place, accurately described and well appointed. We had a great stay and the owners were very generous and accommodating of last minute changes. As others have observed, it is close to Route 2 and there is some traffic noise.

Fantastic Stay!

Amazing Visit to Glacier NP with this great house as home base. Easy to get in and out of park while still having central access to stores and restaurants in town. House had everything we needed along with extra touches that made it a 5 star experience. Expensive but worth it! Would def book this place again!

Close to Glacier NP

Older cabin that has been fully remodeled. Very pretty with a large beautiful kitchen, dining and living room area. Lots of artistic accents. The bed in the main floor bedroom was very comfortable. There is a full size built in bunk bed in the second floor loft which Iooks really cool and I think kids would love but a lot of adults would have a problem getting in and out of. While I overall liked this property there were a few issues with it. There are no closets anywhere in the cabin. There is a rack for hanging clothes on the 2nd floor which is where we put all of our clothes, hiking gear, suitcases etc. Since there were only two of us, we could use the second floor this way. There were also no window treatments across the back of the cabin. Since the cabin backs up to the main highway and gets alot of sun in the afternoon, this created privacy and sun/heat issues. Backing up to the main highway made it a bit noisy also. Nice outdoor area also and lots of pretty scenery.
