Amazing is an understatement

This was a last minute trip, and during Christmas, so our expectations were low. We have stayed in the area a lot, and when I found Smoky Mountain Majesty I thought the pictures don’t match the price. There is no way it can be this nice for what we are paying. Boy was I surprised. This is the most gorgeous place we have stayed in the 30 years we have been vacationing in Gatlinburg, and Pigeon Forge. Tim sent us all the info we needed before we had a chance to ask. If Smoky Mountain Majesty is available for our next trip I will defiantly stay there again. It is close to everything, but far enough out to enjoy nature. If I could give 6 stars it wouldn’t do justice to how nice our experience has been.

Spacious and comfy.

This rental was exactly what we needed. The location to Gatlinburg was just minutes away and taking backroads to Pigeon Forge didn't take but about 20-25 minutes. The property has plenty of space as we had 13 in our family and everyone had a bed. We used every bit of the outside and inside amenities. The kids loved the game consoles and the teenagers and adults loved the hot tub and firepit area. The owners were great in communication. We had a hot water problem that they helped solve over the phone. They both answered and called us back in reference to the issue even though it was on Thanksgiving day. The problem was simple, just a flipped breaker we were able to take care of. I would highly recommend this property if you have a large group or family.

Not worth the price

Property pictures were very deceptive. trash left in trash can. all exterior furniture not useable due to thick mildew all over them. refrigerator did not work. only 6 forks for 14 folks. We avoided using due to paint peeling off of them. We had to buy some. Extremely outdated and was not a cabin, just an old house with floors sloping pretty bad. The return air vent for HVAC was located in dining room and covered with thick dust. This was awful looking! Could not use grill, rusted out bad. Decks were rotten though in places and very slick Tried to open several windows to get musky odor out of house, but some would not stay up. Communication was very poor with host. Called with no return call after leaving message. We definitely did not get what we paid for. Upstairs bedroom had no circulation vents, stayed extremely hot, not comfortable at all. Not enough garbage container space, Lock on one br did not work. We felt we got ripped to be honest with you. I have been in the custom home rental business in Charleston, SC for 20 years, and I would be embarrassed to try to rent a property like that. It’s plain to see no one did a pre inspection for an incoming client. I have used VRBO for my family always, they handled our Charleston properties. This was the worst property ever. In our business this is what we call a dump, gosh it’s so outdated. I hate to give a review like this, but it’s the truth.

Great vacation!

We had a large group of 17 stay here. Everyone had a wonderful time. There was plenty of space and the home was well stocked with everything you would need in the kitchen. There was plenty of towels and bedding too. The wifi was great and made it easy for several members of our party to work from the house. The property manager did a great job communicating with us!

Was a great experience

We loved the cabin! We had a rough first night but that wasn't due to the owner and property it was due to a power outage because of a storm. The owners did everything they could to fix any and all issues that the storm caused in a timely manager and we greatly appreciate it. The place really feels like you are home with your family. I highly recommend it! Having it tech friendly made it that mich better and it's remote location js an added touch. We go to Gatlinburg once a year and as long as our numbers stay small we will be coming back to this place again! Thank you Kirk and Ryan for all your hard work and help during all the uncertainty that the storm caused.

Amazing property, a must stay at location.

This house was everything we could have wanted and more. I love the king beds in every room, so no one feels like they’re getting a smaller bed. There were extra blankets and plenty of towels for everybody. The teens loved the game room and our littles loved the bunk room. It was perfect for all ages from 60’s+ to 4 year olds, we had 12 people and we didn’t feel like we were on top of each other, except in the kitchen. Not a ton of clean up rules either! So nice to be able to pick up your stuff and leave with minimal cleaning. There were so many game options as well, cards, board games, ladder ball, fuse ball, pool!! It was a great time! The drive was short to downtown Gatlinburg, but far enough away you’re not right on top of the traffic. Grocery store was very close. Walking distance from a cafe and cute little stores, their hours are very odd though so just go check them before lugging the whole family down the hill. The only issue was the one way, VERY narrow, street that looks like you’re driving off the cliff, haha, but not the owners faults! It was scary at first. Definitely look into the trolley stops before driving to visit downtown, saving your $20/car to park and the headache of the traffic was definitely worth the trolley ride. And they’re fairly close to the house. Small notes, the rug is very dangerous in the dinning room, it definitely needs to be tacked down somehow. We tripped on it several times and landed in the table/chairs. There needs to be directions for the smart home, especially if you don’t use smart home technology. It took us forever to figure some of those things out, especially the thermostat. We woke up freezing in the mornings with it set down to 60. There were no kid friendly plates or cups, only heavy duty plates and glass, we ended up having to buy paper plates and solo cups for them. Maybe add some large mixing/serving bowls, especially with hosting guests of up to 17. Overall great place and so worth it. We would definitely stay here again, and strongly suggest the ThreeLodge Bears for your vacation.
