About this property

This fabulous townhome is the closest to the dune walkover of any condo at Southbay. It is less than 50 feet to our private protected beach! We own our beach at Southbay! It is so close that we don't even take a cooler. You can walk back and forth between our condo and the beach in seconds for drinks, lunch and restroom breaks. Includes 2 beach chairs and an umbrella.

Freshly remodeled with 3 bedrooms with 2.5 baths, new paint, flooring, appliances, lighting, and more! Even comes with a private parking spot directly in front of the door.

All 3 bedrooms are upstairs and the living area is downstairs. The beach is right outside the back door.

The dune walkover and the beach are right off the patio and are just steps away. No streets or even parking lots to cross!

South Bay by the Gulf is a gated community and our beach is privately owned by the Southbay HOA. Beach access is restricted to just owners and guests. We have 2 pools, one about 10 units away and the other is on the north side of the lake. The tennis and pickleball courts are just across the parking lot from our front door. There is no longer a grill on the back patio. We have a park style grill in the grass now.

Pancakery, Chick fil A, Lone Wolf Pizza, and numerous other restaurants, shops, and attractions are within walking distance. We are in the middle of all the excitement!

Well behaved dogs are allowed after approval as long as they are house trained and do not get on any furniture.

Please tell us about yourself and your group when inquiring or requesting a stay. This is our 2nd home and we like to get to know our new friends. Neighbors on either side are full time residents.

Great stay in Destin!

We had the best time in Destin, even with the weather and double red flags! This home was perfect for us, and was SO close to the beach. The owner, Lonnie, was very easy to reach when we had questions. The complex was so nice and quiet. We can't wait to return and stay here again!!

No College game day- no Wi-Fi or Television Friday through Monday

Would have loved to stay longer, but no Wi-Fi, so both my son-in-law and I couldn't get any work done, so we left Monday morning. A Keurig coffee maker would be a nice addition to the kitchen.

Amazing Trip

Our group had an amazing time. The unit had everything we needed plus more. The main reason I booked this trip was for the proximity to the beach, and didn't disappoint. Pour a cup of coffee, walk out the back door and in a few steps you are looking at the sunrise on the beach. We will be back next year if they will have us!

Great Location

Great location and very close to local restaurants and attractions. The beach was only steps away and the kitchen had everything needed to cook breakfast or a full dinner if needed.

Loved Destin

Our stay in Destin was great. We had not been there before and we fell in love with the Gulf. We talk about the beach every day and we live at the Shore. One of a kind. We spent so much time at the beach that we did not allow for too many other activities. We will have to come back and do it again. So many great restaurants close by and groceries were easy to obtain. We met a lot of great people; some we will keep in contact with. The unit was wonderful and couldn't get closer to beach access. Having the chairs at the beach was soooo nice. The attendants knowing we were there, set them up for us every morning. Such luxury and convenience not having to haul a chair to the beach. Thank you for having us and answering all of our questions. Would love to come back!!!

Great quiet condo next to the beach

Wonderful relaxing Christmas vacation at the beach. Just what our family needed in this quiet condo community. The location was great close to a lot of dining options no other activities. The area was very quiet and it was literally less than a minute to be on the beach walking out the back door of this condo. Lonnie was great to work with the entire time, answering any questions very quickly. I would recommend this condo to anyone, we would definitely stay again.

One of our best beach trips

The quick walk to the beach was great for our 3 and 4 year old grandchildren. Our gracious host offered us beach chairs which was wonderful. The teens had a blast snorkeling. We could see a bit of beach from the patio. The pool was perfect including the kiddie pool. All in all it was one of our best beach trips.

Easy beach access

We loved staying at this property mostly because the beach access was so close to the property. We would stay here and recommend again. The only thing we didn’t like was that to get front row access to the beach you had to rent an umbrella and two chairs for $40 per day. You cannot go in front of the company’s rental chairs to sit. We brought our own chairs and umbrella so we had to sit behind them. Other than this the trip was was great!

Destin Stay

The short walk to the beach was the best - the water is so pretty and the sand is the best we, as a family, have ever had! We were a little disappointed that the floor and stairs had sand on them when we arrived - but we found the broom and swept it up! We feel for the money we spent the condo could have a few more updates in it - cookie sheets that are clean, measuring cup that shows all the measurements, just some small things that need paid attention to for all the renters! Would we return?……YES!

Steps away from the beach!

We had a great stay with laughs and smiles around the dinner table, just hanging out, reading, coming and going and especially at the beautiful Destin beach, which is practically right out the door! Everything worked fine and the pool is quite nice and also a short walk. We’re very satisfied!

We stayed in this condo for one month and it was wonderful. It is clean, well equipped and very close to the beach. The beach is beautiful with sparkling white sand. The owner is quick to respond to your questions or requests. You will enjoy your stay here!

Nice property and really close to the beach.

Stay was great over Thanksgiving. Close to the beach. Sitting in the gazebo in the mornings and evenings listening to the ocean was great. Unit was clean and quiet, and was a nice place to stay. Lonnie answered any questions quickly. Was an overall very good experience.

Perfect spot

We love staying in Southbay and this unit is right at the bottom of the short boardwalk to the beach. You can sit outside and listen to the waves. Fit our family perfectly.
