The Grand Lodge, Pool House, & Private Pool at God's Country Resort

The Grand Lodge at the God's Country Resort offers a luxurious log cabin lodge ideal for large families. Enjoy a private Swimming Pool and pool house reserved for Grand Lodge guests only. Enjoy the spacious living room downstairs or escape upstairs to the loft living room for private conversations or to relax. The Grand Lodge has its own laundry room on the first floor. The Resort is located only about 12 minutes from downtown Shreveport and the local casinos and only about 20 minutes from Louisiana Downs Racetrack. The Pool House complete with outdoor kitchen and bar offers the ultimate in poolside relaxation and entertaining your family.. The Grand Lodge now has a therapeutic new Hot Tub on the back deck for you to privately enjoy. Your guests will also have access to the amenities available at the Resort, including the jumping pillows, playgrounds, new indoor game room with arcade, pool tables, air hockey, skeeball, fishing ponds (catch & release), two disc golf courses, paddle boat rentals, peddle cart rentals, indoor mining sleuth and much more! All guests must be registered in order to enter the resort and the resort is protected by electronic gate access. Those that are not registered will not be allowed to legally enter the resort.

Perfect getaway

So fun!

We were visiting my nephew who lives25 minutes from here… we just stayed at the lodge and had a great time… only problem we had was finding the right place to check in…I’m sure we’ll be back!

Celebrating 92 year birthday

Property is amazing, beautiful, house is wonderful. The weekend we spent there was chilly and raining so the covered outdoor area was amazing for us with the fireplace. The store selling firewood saved us - Thank you so much for having that option. There were a couple of issues upon check in that were addressed immediately and the stay was wonderful! Thanks Mr. Danny & staff

Perfect family getaway

We were happy we chose this property for our holiday gathering with the kids and grandkids (aged infant to 11.) It was a beautiful and cozy property, with lots for the kids to do on site. Great stay!

Overall relaxing.

A couple things need some repair/TLC Jet tub in the master bedroom needs repair. Gas grill at the pool house needs repair. Lights on the pool house were not working & blinking off & on. The pool spa was not warm/hot. We were not able to get the speakers indoor nor outdoor to work. There was not a “How to” list or manual. Light fixture missing in the kitchen. The house does have general kitchen utensils-supplies. Very cozy feel & the kids loved having the play areas so close, just wish the pool spa had worked for them to play is since it was to cold to get in the pool.

Amazing vacation

My family enjoyed your house! It was everything and more than what we expected. My family enjoy the pool house to keep cool while barbecuing. The pool was amazing, the house was enough space for my family, and exceeded expectations for cleanliness. We will definitely be coming back again. Thank you again for the wonderful hospitality. Beautiful!

We truly enjoyed our stay and the property was beautiful. I had queried 4 states for a private pool and this site came up. I failed to read in the description that the pool is only private from 8 pm on. The pool is directly in front of the house so the other folks enjoying the pool was a little bothersome to us. We were told they would be out by 8 pm. At 8:50 pm we texted the property manager that there were still people out in the pool. We didn’t get a response until the next day and she said 8 pm or dusk. Apparently the laundry is done from a building at the grand lodge so staff was coming in and out all day. We wish we had more privacy but that aside there was plenty for the kids to do—although the pool alone was enough. The staff was really nice. All of our needs were met and we had a lovely time.

Outdoor heaven

The pool & hot tub were even more beautiful than the pictures. Splash pad/tanning ledge great for little non-swimmers. There's an entire outdoor living room w/ fireplace, kitchen, fans, tv. The outdoor playland (not pictured) is AMAZING w/ tube slides, swings, ladders, monkey bars. Owner should update photos, since the kids went wild over this!! The house is beautiful, though we were never inside. Housekeeping was immaculate. Only cons were: limited hot tub time, but could pay extra for extra heating time & couldn't figure out the gas grill. But they have the Big Green Egg, if u like charcoal. Overall felt like we were at a resort. :)

AMAZING !!

This property is beautiful !! It looks exactly like the picture !! It's very clean, the property is very well kept and the owner was so nice. I had one slight issue and he got it resolved instantly. You will not go wrong with this cabin. From the mouths of my grandchildren, THIS IS THE BEST VACATION EVERY !!! The cabin accommodates everyone of all ages and I loved the special touches in each room. You will definitely love this cabin !!!

Wonderful stay

I traveled here for two nights with my 7 month old, grandmother, mom and 12 yr old sister for my grandmas birthday. The house/property/pool/outdoor living was 5 stars all the way. The property is very well maintained. It was like having an entire resort to ourselves. We were so sad to leave. We hope to return soon! Mr. Lawler was an outstanding hosts. He was quick to respond and so friendly and thoughtful. If I could rate it 10 stars I would!

Outstanding Property

Our family stayed here for 3 nights. The property was immaculate. The inside of the home was spotless. The beds were very comfortable. The house had everything we needed. The pool and outdoor kitchen were top notch. They both were absolutely perfect, not to mention beautiful. Danny was wonderful to work with, and quick to respond. Gavel Falls is THE PLACE to stay in the Shreveport area! We will definitely be back!

A true blessing

The church group and I went here to share a vacation as a family in one location free from the rush of large crowds. It was so peaceful and so much to do for all ages. Owner is truly a blessings and on call to help no matter what. God bless him for his patience. I'm coming back for sure

1st class! Amazing property...exactly like the pictures! The pool and hot tub were gorgeous and was located right outside the living room! Mr. Danny was an amazing host...supper easy to get in touch with and was always available to answer questions...thank you! There is a cement porch that wraps around the entire house and connects to the driveway so the kids had plenty of space to ride bikes and scoot...the property is completely fenced in with cows in the pasture (we all in enjoyed that). Kids loved the huge playground and there were absolutely no pickers in the grass so we had the best time playing cops and robbers and running around the property barefoot! This was the perfect, no stress, no sand, no hauling beach gear, family vacation...having everyone under one roof with each individual family having their own private bedroom and bath was a huge blessing and lifesaver:) We had a new born and a cranky toddler who still requires a daily nap...as a mom I was able to put the kids down while still being connected to the rest of the family:)

Great getaway!

This beautiful cabin was a great family getaway for us! Mr. Lawler and his staff were happy to answer any questions we had. The only thing I would say was that there were several visits by staff at first and it didn’t seem private. That was during the first part of our stay. It got a lot better throughout the stay. The kids loved the pool and we enjoyed the atmosphere.

Summer Pool Life all year long.

Amazing property with oasis Pool. Celebrating High School graduation during Covid-19 was a challenge. This amazing property accomodated 10 to 16 family members with tons of space inside and out. The pool, jacuzzi and slide made the days so enjoyable. Danny was always availble to address any questions or concerns. Will definetly visit again.
