In the centre of Lucca, excellent location: right in the centre but still quiet, in the heart of the city, traffic calmed area, 30 km from the sea, in a pedestrian area. Heating available only from 01.Nov. - 07.Apr.. Linen change weekly (suppl. charge extra). Towel change weekly (suppl. charge extra). Public parking 800 m extra. Grocery 50 m, supermarket 100 m, restaurant, bar, café, bicycle rental 50 m, bus stop "Piazzale Verdi" 800 m, railway station "Lucca centrale" 1 km, sandy beach "Versilia" 30 km. Nearby attractions: Pisa 25 km, Florence 80 km. Well-known ski regions can easily be reached: Abetone 100 km. Please note: no lift. The owner lives in the same residence. The apartment is located in a zone with limited traffic.

Lovely historical character apartment
The character & history of this apartment was just what we were looking for. Magnificent high ceilings, huge rooms & windows to the piazza below. Great location with some lovely cafes right on the door step, everything else within Lucca's walls are so close by & beautiful. Note, you need to walk through one of the bedrooms to get from the lounge to the downstairs kitchen & no air con means keeping the shutters closed and the heat out until the sun abates at this time of year-there are fans.

The pictures don't do it justice! It was much larger than expected and beautfully furnished. We enjoyed the antique furniture and souvenirs displayed from past travels. L. was very helpful at all times and we'd highly recommend the property. Lots of shops and things to do within the walled city

Living the Italian dream
We felt steeped in history while staying in this palazzo. It’s as spacious as it looks in the photos, perhaps more so. Beds we’re comfortable, bathrooms well equipped. It can be a little noisy per its piazza location but we didn’t mind it. The owner was lovely and attentive.

Wunderschönes und riesiges Palazzo
Die Lage der Ferienwohnung ist super, mitten in Lucca. Es hat uns sehr gut gefallen, die Wohnung ist antik eingerichtet und riesig. Die Eigentümerin ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Einziger Nachteil ist, dass man nicht mit dem Auto bis zur Wohnungstür heranfahren kann. Mit einer Familie ist das sehr, sehr umständlich.

Beautiful, Historic Lodging Right Where the Action Is
Our group of two couples enjoyed our stay in this beautifully historic property. The place is huge and furnished with mostly antique pieces, which probably justifies the €500 damage deposit which must be given upon arrival. We had some difficulty in finding the place due to construction on the roads and lack of detailed information on how to enter the walled city, where to find parking, etc. Be aware that driving inside the walls is not permitted for guests and can result in steep fines. Our GPS took us all the way to the walls of Lucca, but was unable to navigate within the city. I would suggest that along with reservation confirmation, renters be provided a detailed map of Lucca and specific information on how to access parking etc. prior to arrival. We would certainly have welcomed this after 30+ hours of travel. The apartment itself was lovely, clean, and extremely spacious. We ended up sharing the one shower which was located downstairs after discovering that the upstairs “shower” was just a handheld unit in a large jacuzzi tub. The one suggestion I would offer to improve guests’ experience is that the management consider replacing the towels and bed linens with newer ones. The pillows on the beds were some of the flattest I have ever seen and the linens in general had all seen better days. Some guests may enjoy extremely firm mattresses and will find these to be exactly to their liking. The Piazza Cittadella is a very lively place with several excellent cafes literally just steps away. We enjoyed the vibe of the place, but be aware that the activity and noise on the square may continue into the wee hours of the morning. For those needing quiet, this could be a consideration. All in all, this property served our needs well for the six days that we stayed. The historic city of Lucca was perfect and charming in every way and we cannot wait to return.

Lucca is wonderful
This apartment is in great location. Parking is a problem for any apartment in the old city. The owner was very friendly and helpful. The apartment is large and very clean. It needs to be updated with new lighting and removing some of the clutter. Would be nice to have a clothes dryer to go along with the washing machine. Restaurants in the square very convenient.

Wunderbares Haus in einer wunderbaren Stadt
Morgens aus dem Fenster schauen - Puccini sitzt noch da. Danach auf die Piazza einen oder mehrer Espressi. Lucca lädt ein zum Nichts tun.
