About this property

Welcome to Ollies House, named after the love for my rescue pup Oliver. Situated on 5 peaceful and private acres. The home is newly renovated and furnished, featuring an indoor wood burning fireplace, 3 br and 2 ba. Ollies House is a great choice for those looking to be active or enjoy a staycation. Located in the heart of the Catskills the house is minutes from Belleayre and 35 mins to Hunter. Situated between Margaretville and Phoenicia with tons of things to do in the area.

The house has undergone recent renovations and was recently furnished giving it a current and tranquil design. Almost all the items inside are brand new and modern (mostly West Elm and Crate & Barrel) including the silverware and dishware. The house has been thoughtfully stocked with all of the essentials for a home away from home (plates, cups, wine glasses, cooking essentials etc). High end linens, towels, sheets, and pillows are all provided. Toiletries are also provided (toothpaste, shampoo, soap etc).

This house faces East/West therefore it gets amazing sun all day! There are plenty of windows so the house feels light, bright, and airy. It is equipped with blazing fast internet (fiber optic 200mbps+) and full cell service for those that are WFH and cannot fully disconnect. Split unit A/C unit was installed so there is no issue on those hot summer days. For those looking to relax, build a fire and start streaming on the flat screen, play one of the board games provided, or take a walk down the road to Cody’s Sugar Shack (mentioned in my tailored guide).

A gas grill is available for your use as well as a fire pit and Adirondack chairs in the backyard. Everything you would need to cook and serve is included. The goal of this home was to create a luxurious boutique hotel-like experience. For those into nature, great wildlife is right outside of your window and even better stargazing on clear nights! The house feels remote enough but you're only a few minutes to grocery stores, coffee shops, restaurants (some of the best in the Catskills) and even a distillery with award winning local Vodka! Finally, don’t forget to walk down the road for fresh eggs / produce from my neighbors working farm in the mornings. The eggs are laid the night before-- farm to table at its finest! I'm happy to answer any and all the questions you might have. I am typically available 24/7 and answer quickly. I’ve put together a great guide for my guests with things to do in and around the area which I will include for those who decide to stay with me. The pictures don't do the house justice! Since I am new as a host I am offering a discounted rate for people to enjoy.

Perfect place in Catskills!

We stayed at Ollie’s House this weekend for a family wedding. The house was just as we hoped. Nice space, everything we needed and super close to Spillian, where the wedding was located. Thank you Ankur for a lovely stay!

Highly recommend this property. As described . Updated, with A/C, very clean, well appointed. Stayed during a four days of events for family wedding at Spillian.10 minutes away. Perfect for our needs. Village East to ea lunch was very close and exceptional.

Great place to stay!

We stayed at “Ollie’s House” for our ski trip. It is located about ten minutes from Belleayre Mountain. Ankur was a great host and everything went smoothly. House was exactly as expected. Very clean! Anytime I had a question, Ankur responded within seconds. Thank you for making our stay a great one!

Wonderful stay

We had a wonderful stay! The house was spacious, uncluttered and stocked with everything we needed. Kitchen was well appointed and we enjoyed many nights around the fire. Host was very responsive to any questions and flexible with some last minute changes, which was greatly appreciated. Would definitely stay again.

Excellent Stay

Our family really enjoyed the property. Although it rained/snowed almost the entire time, so we did not have an opportunity to enjoy outside the property (fire pit, hammock, etc), we nonetheless thoroughly enjoyed the warm, spacious, and exceptionally clean inside space. Very east drives to nearby towns and sights. We had a blast! Thanks Ankur!

Relaxing and convenient stay in the Catskills

We recently enjoyed a relaxing stay at Ankur's property for a brief ski trip to the Catskills. The property was nestled in the woods and provided picturesque views in the snow. It was secluded with easy access to Fleischmanns and Belleayre. The interior was well-equipped and cozy for our family. We'll definitely consider future visits.

Birthday Weekend Getaway

We enjoyed this house a lot. There was plenty of room for my 1yr old son to run around and bedrooms for him to explore. I thought the stair lights were a nice touch. We really liked the local eggs and syrup (Best maple syrup I have EVER had) less than a mile away.

Lovely stay under starry skies

We loved this property. Very clean and great communications with Ankur. The dining chairs were so comfy that we even looked to see the brand! (West Elm). The sofa is wide so you can really stretch out. The instructions and local tips contained were very helpful: we bought local maple syrup and eggs! Would recommend the addition of throw blankets and a light switch to turn off the outdoor string lights since we wanted absolute darkness to see the stars. You can see the Milky Way this time of year with the naked eye just standing outside the front door! This is on the western side of the Catskills but within 15 minutes of the Phoenician Diner (highly recommend) and Brio restaurant in Phoenicia. It's also within 15 minutes of the hike to Panther Mountain and many other hikes. Under 30 minutes of the Ashokan Reservoir which has an easy flat and paved path around the upper and lower.

Great stay for a family

We had an excellent time at this property. It was just as advertised - a modern and clean house in a peaceful location surrounded by trees. And yet it was still less than a 10-minute drive to the grocery store and a short drive to restaurants and farmer's markets. In particular, we enjoyed the outdoor dining table, fire pit, and grill. The owner Ankur made all efforts to have everything you need at the house (firewood, propane for the grill, skewers to make smores, etc.) and was very responsive. We strongly recommend this house for any families.

Modern oasis in beautiful woods

Wonderful experience in the Catskills

To start with the house is beautiful. The owner has strived to create a boutique experience and the esthetic was perfect; simple, stylish, but approachable and functional. Many of the little details were taken care of, the towels were hotel stealable (of course we didn’t) soft. The beds were really comfortable, probably the best night’s sleep I’ve had in a long time. The pictures of the main floor living area are spot on, a great place for our family to hang, eat, play games. My son said we should come back during football season, the game would be great to watch here. The property was well maintained and we had a great time around the fire pit in the back. Many s’mores were made and devoured in our week there. It was quiet and my son loved laying in the hammock as we sat and just listened to nature. Definitely able to kick back and relax. The owner was easy to connect with and was really responsive. He made and sent us a little guide of some of the things to do and places to eat at. Overall we loved our stay at Ollie’s house.

Even more so-- I loved the way my pup Oliver would change being in the country, all of the big city noises a distant memory. Fast forward to 2020, I bought a house and named it after him.
