Pike Lake Lodge is nestled on 2.5 wooded acres just outside Duluth and only 2.5 hours from Minneapolis. Located on the shoreline of Pike Lake - one of the most popular lakes in the area. It's known for its clear water and sandy beaches. There is a golf course and restaurant on the east end of the lake (Pike Lake Golf and Beach Club) that is open to the public. In the summer you can rent a pontoon boat there. The property features several nice amenities such as a Finnish sauna, sport court, outdoor fire pit (some wood provided), private sandy beach, pinball machine, bubble hockey, wet bar, ping pong table, gas fireplace and beach house with additional sleeping areas. Beautifully lit pathways guide your stroll around the property. Inside the home is a true 'up north' feel and you'll have more than enough space for your entire group with over 4,300 sq. ft. and an awe-inspiring 30' high vaulted living room ceiling. Cozy up with a good book by the fireplace. Or get the whole family together for a movie in the basement on the 70" big screen TV. Music lovers will enjoy speakers throughout the home and outdoors, where you can immerse yourself in sound. Kids will enjoy the pinball machine and bubble hockey in the basement and ping pong table in the garage. At Pike Lake Lodge, there's something for everyone no matter what age! And for the adventure seekers, Pike Lake Lodge is located near miles of Mountain biking trails and Canosia Wildlife Management area. Our location provides an easy location to explore all that the North Shore has to offer. Canal Park, the Duluth Aquarium, Spirit Mountain and Downtown Duluth are just minutes away for those that want to spend a day or night on the town. The Miller Hill Mall area is also just minutes away where you can find all your favorite creature comforts like Target, Best Buy, Kohls, etc. With all the amenities and attention to detail, your stay at Pike Lake Lodge will be a memorable one! ***Please be aware when booking that this is a family cabin. Loud noise, especially late at night will not be tolerated. If you're looking for a place to host a bachelor/bachelorette party this may not be a good fit for your group unless you plan to be respectful of our home and our neighbor's homes/property.

***Pike Lake Lodge has an onsite caretaker to assist you with any issues that come up during your stay. He lives in the apartment above the garage - not in the main house.

***Stairs leading up to the main entrance make this home not handicap accessible.

***Please note our home may not be re-listed or published on any other website without our permission and it may not be re-sold for “wellness retreats” or any other events without permission.

Absolutely perfect!
Perfect accommodations for our family gathering! We had 7 kids ranging from age three years old to 11 years old. There is so much to keep them busy. Great little beach area. Nice sauna and hot tub. The house is immaculately clean and has everything you need. Excellently well stocked kitchen. Games, toys, pinball machine and bubble hockey all kept the kids busy. Well maintained. Eric was very responsive and easy to work with. We will definitely be booking again!

We would definitely come again. The property was loaded with games and toys for the kids. We enjoyed sitting out by the bonfire and also the sauna. It was fully stocked with any kind of small appliances, spices, dishes and accessories you would need. We had a fairly large group and had plenty of space for all of us. The kids enjoyed fishing off the dock, catching frogs and watching for otters swimming in the water. It really was a wonderful experience. Highly recommended!

Perfection!
Our group of 10 high school girlfriends (Class of 1978) stayed at this spectacular home for three nights. The sleeping arrangements were terrific, the house was immaculate, the house was well appointed with every possible detail or activity thought out and available. There were ample towels, linens, pillows, blankets, shampoo, soap, paper towels, TP, and basics available (very nicely stocked). The kitchen was also fully stocked with every utensil, pan, or item available. The deck was ideal for our large group. There was plenty of seating at the dining room table and we were all able to sit comfortably in the living room. While we didn't use the boat house...it is adorable. The house would be great for large families or large groups of friends. The beach area was a dream come true...private, spacious, well-equipped, comfortable and so perfect for evening campfires, too. This beautiful home was everything we hoped it would be and more. We are so grateful to have had the opportunity to stay here and just might be back in 2025! Lovely, lovely, lovely! Don't hesitate to book this gem!

The best rental I’ve ever been in
The rental had everything we could’ve needed. Eric was super responsive and reasonable. The rental was so clean, so cozy, incredibly comfortable. I’ve been in other rentals where things were falling apart but this place seems like everything was new! The lake is beautiful. If I return to Duluth this is the place I’d want to rent from always.

I can sum it up by saying I wish we would have booked it for longer. The house is beautiful and there is something for everyone to do. The lake is not a very busy lake so it is perfect for paddle boarding and kayaking. My family loved it and we hope to go back next summer!

We had a great time! The lodge is beautiful, clean, and spacious. Our grandkids ages 13 - 4 loved the lake, paddle boating, and kayaking. Everyone had so much fun. We highly recommend this Pike Lake Lodge.

We had a short family vacation with family of all ages. The property was beautiful and everyone found something to do. Fishing was good, the teens enjoyed taking the kayaks out and the little ones enjoyed the beach.

Great property, lots of room and a fantastic beach set-up for kids. Four kayaks and nice fireplace on the beach. Eric was great and Chris was helpful and friendly! Only issue was the kitchen knives were pretty dull--pretty small complaint for an overall wonderful stay.

Exactly what we were hoping gor! Gorgeous home on the lake!
So many fun things to keep the kids/teens busy! From pinball, to airhockey, basketball, ping pong, and even kayaks it was such a fun week! Thankful the caretaker was there close by, when we arrived a smoke alarm was chirping. He was able to take care of it right away...thankful we didn't have to deal with that for hours on end!!! The house had everything we needed and more! Beds were comfortable and having laundry was a great bonus so we didn't go home with a week's worth of dirty clothes. Barely heard/saw any neighbors. The entry to the lake is nice and not gross some lakes. We were early June so it was chillier than we anticipated, but weather was great for exploring all the local state parks!

We are the dancers and families of the Diamonds team from North Dakota Ballet Company out of Grand Forks, ND. We lovingly refer to this place as "the cabin" and it has been a place of comfort, relaxation and bonding while competing in Duluth for a number of years now. Most of the girls who comprise this team are seniors in high school and graduating. The next generation is looking forward to getting "the cabin" with their teammates and families and our families have already started looking towards planning a reunion here. This is a special home away from home and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay in the Duluth area.

Great for a Group!
We had 4 families stay for a weekend over the kids’ school’s spring break. We had 10 kids ranging from 9 to 16 and 8 adults. It was a blast! Enough space for everyone to sleep - the game room, sport court, hot tub, sauna and fun selection of board games kept everyone entertained that we never left the property for the entire stay! The kitchen is very nicely stocked with everything you need. The little beach house was a fun little hangout spot for the teens. Eric was very easy to communicate with before and during our stay. I can’t say enough positive things - we would absolutely stay again should the opportunity arise!

I was surprised to be immediately met by a caretaker that wanted me to park in different way as that was not disclosed. It now has been added to the listing description. He’s fine and was helpful, just talkative and surprise to run into. Overall, the house is well appointed and the owner was responsive to initial issues. A pile of kids and adults enjoyed the stay. Two bedrooms are very nice, two are very basic. The remainder of the house was nice. The outside “extra room” was unfurnished (no bedding) and cold. We ended up not using it, and although it made things tighter, it was fine. The kitchen is large and easy to use, a "butler panty" made it extra usable.

Why they chose this property

We can't get enough of the north shore of Lake Superior! We bought this property because it's a great jumping off point for all that this part of the state has to offer. The outdoor activities around here are endless!

What makes this property unique

One unique benefit of this property is it's proximity to both "civilization" and the wilderness. At night, you can hear a pin drop and see millions of stars and possibly the northern lights. During the day, you can run a quick errand to the Miller Hill Mall area or downtown Duluth, located just minutes away. You're close enough to town you can even have a pizza delivered but far enough away to get that "up north" feel.
