This place had it all. It was very clean, has the lake, firepit, enough beds, lots of storage, everything we needed for cooking, and plenty of room. We will be returning next summer so we can enjoy the kayaking.
We had a great weekend! Property was just what we needed. We will definitely be back!

Nice stay, BUT...
TV has no cable and no antenna and our streaming services were blocked by code. DVD again not able to access without a code. This is not clear in the listing. Plus it was clear whoever is supposed to clean does a cursory job at best. Dust in all corners and on appliances. Found a half bottle of water down between couch cushions. Dishwasher did not work. House was really nice and we sat at the waterfront every day. Very quiet during the day. Not sure I would return due to the negatives.
Beautiful lake, awesome house. Mostly quiet. The only downside was the neighbor constantly working on something (usually running his lawnmower or leaf blower or whacking on something). Sometimes hard to relax with all that going on and I get the owner has no control over that. Hopefully, he's just fixing up the place and will be done soon.
Had a wonderful time, the swimming area was a bit small due to the weeds but that also made geeat fishing at dusk, and the non motor lake created a great vibe for family kayaking. Was very quiet and peaceful the house was spacious with a friendly light community
We very much enjoyed our stay at this cottage for our vacation. It was perfect for our family of 5 and the owners thought of everything- games, books, outside swings and so much more! We were all so sad to leave!
My friend and I just stayed at this charming lakehouse for 4 nights. This is my second visit and we decided it would be a perfect place to come back to next year. Beautiful hardwood floors thoughout, except in the well stocked kitchen. The bedrooms are spacious, one being an ensuite, the other right across the hall from another private bathroom. Nice patio with comfortable seating, table and grill. The lake is steps away, with a comfortable glider/swing to sit and relax and enjoy the lake. Neighbors near by, but they were very quiet making it almost seem as though we were there alone. Lots of beautiful birds, lively squirrels and chipmunks we enjoyed watching their antics all day. The owner is always easy to reach in case you need anything. (which we didn't) We enjoyed every moment we were there. Wautoma is only about 8 miles away, with every shopping need available and lots of restaurants. Thank you Tyler for your wonderful hospitality!!
Property is ideally located, quiet, clean, and with beautiful and relaxing views. Got to spend some quality time with family and experience some peace and quiet.
Very nice lake house on a quiet little lake. We had a great weekend. I was hoping Sandy lake would have been more sandy at the bottom but most of it is muck and weeds even in the middle. The little boys still had a great time swimming ‼️😊
My two boys really enjoyed catching fish and my two daughters enjoy relaxing in the lake. The house was perfect for our family of six. It was very quiet and we were the only ones on the lake. We were able to sit on the swing while the kids were in the lake. We used the Kayaks and we also brought our own floats. I do wish there was a dock for them to fish off of instead of the shore. We had great communication with the owner. We would come back and stay again.
Stayed there for my sisters wedding at Caribou Bay Retreat. The house was so clean and relaxing. Only complaint I have is the water heater is not big enough to have the two showers being used at the same time or to have multiple people taking showers after each other. After a 10-15 min shower the water was ice cold. Made it difficult getting ready for a wedding with multiple people. Otherwise, loves seeing the deer in the yard at night and finding shells on the beach with my daughter.
Unfortunately, our first impressions weren't the best. The yard needed to be mowed, and the landscaping around the house needed tending. The sidewalk, patio, outdoor seating, and path to the lake were covered in dirt/debris. Yes, it's fall, but a little leaf blowing would have gone a long way in making the property inviting. We were pleased when we walked inside, though. The house is quite inviting with new wood floors throughout and plenty of seating. The kitchen however, was a bit disappointing. The fridge had not been cleaned. There were crumbs and spilled food on the shelves. The microwave was gross and looked like it had been quite a while since it had been cleaned. This was a quiet getaway for my husband and myself and the very last thing I wanted to do was clean up after someone else!
HOWEVER, after taking care of those items, we very much enjoyed our 4 night stay. The rest of the house was quite clean (except for a few dust bunnies under couches/tables in the living room). The master bed was very comfortable and the blinds and curtains kept the room dark throughout the day (great for napping and sleeping in). There were plenty of towels, and sheets, but no blankets other than on the beds. There is a beautiful view of the lake from the 2 large windows in the living room. No cable or satellite, but there is a fire stick as well as an HDMI cord which we hooked up to a laptop for streaming. There are also books, games, and puzzles.
Overall, we would stay here again!
This was our 3rd year staying at this property. We love the beach area, swimming, fishing, and kayaking during the day and making smores and pudgy pies by the fire at night. The home is inviting with plenty of space for a family of 4.
But yard is NOT.
Firewood needs to be protected from rain.
Wood should be split or ax should be provided.
Bulbs in solar lights are needed.
Main bedroom could use a better lamp, and a second provided.
Chair in bedroom would be great.
Everything in house was clean, beds were great, kitchen was well equipped.
No proper reading lights anyplace.
A very nice home in a quiet area. We had great weather, but didnt realize there wasn't boat access on the lake. The home offered many amenities and was clean, however we noticed several small bugs which we first thought were ticks, but after investigating, decided they may have been a small beetle. The fire pit was wonderful.
The cabin was great for our long weekend! everything was very clean and the host was really responsive!
Will definitely think about rebooking in the future
