Fabulous sums it up! The house was amazing, just as described, beds very comfortable, well stocked kitchen and the best of games and beach accessories! Having umbrellas, beach chairs, tubes, paddleboard, life jackets, beach towels, a great grill, hot tub and cornhole made the week so fun. The fire pit was great and they supplied firewood! Also, an amazing welcoming sight was the vegetable garden, we had fresh tomatoes daily, such a nice touch for a rental !
My kids couldn’t thank me enough for such a wonderful vacation! I’ve rented many vacation homes and this one goes high on the list!
Loved the home. It was well stocked with literally EVERYTHING we needed. The river view could not have been more lovely and was a peaceful way to start each morning. You can easily walk in to New Buffalo (15 minute walk) or hop over to the private beach. It was fantastic! We plan to stay again!
We had an amazing trip. The house is fully furnished with all types of kitchen utensils, games and beach gear. You can’t beat the private beach. River offers fishing and kayaks. One of the best properties we have stayed at!
We've rented homes all over the world over the last 30 years - this is definitely the cleanest, most well outfitted home we've stayed in. The setting and home are delightful and the owners are top notch (especially Trevor!). The photos of this place do not do it justice. We hope we have an opportunity to return!
I picked this property because of the location (close to the private beach) and access to the little waterway in the backyard. After arriving it exceeded my expectations. The house has so much to offer. Quiet mornings on the deck watching the sun rise with a cup of coffee in hand, 5 minute walk to the private quiet beach, big well equipped kitchen to prepare meals, fire place in large yard for s’mores and a hut tub and kayaks and dock for fishing. Just make sure you have the proper licenses and use the provided life jackets because the police comes by to check!
Will are booking again for next year!
Awesome communication with property manager!
House was amazing and in a great location. Private beach access was a short walk and the house had lots of games for the whole family to play. Owners of the house were on top of it and communicated in a timely manner. Would love to come back again!
We had a wonderful four nights at this property. The house was lovely and clean, very well appointed, and it was close to town and the private beach. We hope to stay again!
The house and outdoor space provided our group, aged 1 through 58, room to spread out and the layout of the kitchen/dining/living room allowed us to gather for meal times. We made plenty use of the outdoor deck and loved that it was secured to keep our little dogs in and let them enjoy the outdoors as well. Cooler nights made the large hot tub a nice extra to have at the property. Beach toys, kayaks and the SUP were also bonuses!
The house is tastefully decorated, but it’s clear the host means for the guests to be comfortable with the large overstuffed furniture, the comfy beds and all the extras such as the outdoor grill, ping pong and pool tables. Additionally, the private beach access that’s a short 5 minute walk made our stay extra nice for the kids.
We would definitely stay here again.
The number one best thing about staying here is the access to the private sandy beach on Lake Michigan. It was beautiful. We also enjoyed sitting on the deck enjoying the view of the river.
Some things I wished I would have known before staying are:
Window coverings missing on two big door units in master and downstairs bedroom/pool room. Unacceptable that you have no privacy in those rooms.
One television in whole house and it is located downstairs in one of the designated sleeping areas. No television upstairs.
Hot tub was un-useable for the whole time we stayed. It was not maintained properly before we got there. It stunk and was green.
Very old Wolfe range that did not work properly. Set off smoke alarm and CO2 detector every time we used it.
Our family loved the outdoor space! The blue herons, swans and turtles came by daily. Fire pit, hot tub, close to the beach and great area to walk, bike or kayak.
The house is in a great location - near the beach and with a great view out the back. Loved the house - clean and lots of amenities. We will book again sometime.
