About this property

A Cozy Treetop Cabin in Lake Arrowhead

Stunning treetop LAKE ARROWHEAD cabin! Beautiful mountain getaway, high in the treetops. The bedrooms are large and the beds are new and incredibly comfortable. A little over 10-15 minutes away from Arrowhead Village. Very close to Blue Jay Village. Enjoy being above the trees with a beautiful view. Come to Ironwood Cabin and enjoy the mountains, air and nature.

I am sorry to say ALA is no longer allowing Short Term Renters to use the lake pass.

The space
The downstairs has been thoughtfully decorated to keep its rustic log cabin feel. I wanted it to recreate the illusion of an escape to an old lodge on a trek through the mountains. The upstairs, however, is bright and white with high ceilings. The beds, pillows and linens are new and carefully chosen to feel like you are sleeping in a luxury hotel. Everything has been chosen with comfort and ambiance in mind.
Outside, the deck has expansive views. A table for six with comfy chairs and a umbrella for shade makes a perfect spot for meals. I personally like to wake up early start a fire and enjoy a cup of coffee and kick my feet up in one of the vintage Woodard wrought iron chairs.

Guest access
3 bedrooms with brand new beds, mattresses, pillows and linens. 2 full bathrooms. 2 large upstairs bedrooms with new Cal King beds and new linens, one small bedroom downstairs with a new trundle bed that pulls out to 2 side by side twins also with new linens. A fully equipped large kitchen and dining area. Brand new stove with pots, pans, dishes and utensils. The cabin has a wood burning fireplace with a gas starter (wood is not provided). 2 full bathrooms, WIFI, smart TV, BBQ and a Nespresso coffee machine, a milk frother and coffee pods. Laundry is downstairs in the buildout. Parking is down the access road but you may also park out front along the fence. ** Also, there are plenty of sleds downstairs for you and your family to use (in the laundry room build out)

Other things to note
At this time, I just wanted to assure anyone considering my cabin that my cleaning lady and I are both taking extra cleaning precautions above and beyond what we already do to make sure you check into a "sparkling clean" cabin.

We are taking extra precautions to disinfect surfaces, counter tops, handles, door knobs and lights switches.
All linens are washed in hot water and everything is replaced and fresh for each guest.

I have not been able to get my hands on extra hand sanitizer so if you have your own, please be sure to bring it.

Also, due to Covid, at this time not providing wine.

Garbage may be put in cans outside. Black for trash and Blue for recycle.

Peaceful Thanksgiving
The cabin was incredibly cozy and perfect for a peaceful Thanksgiving. The cabinets were stocked with all the cooking utensils necessary for a Thanksgiving feast. The location was close to the village and several great hikes. We enjoyed all the family games and the fact that our dog was able to stay with us. It was a wonderful getaway!

Snow Day? No worries!
We booked this trip in advance and by sheer luck we get a winter storm. But it was all good, we arrived before it started and we felt very comfortable here. The kitchen is stocked with dishware and everything worked well. The beds are comfortable and the cabin kept us very cozy when it started snowing. It was wonderful to see the snow fall out the big patio windows. Lisa, the host, is an angel! She kept in contact with us in case of an outage because of the winds. As we left, I let her know the roads were covered in snow so we had to leave a bit later past check-out to prepare our car for the icy roads. She told us not to worry if we had to remain indoors while the road cleared up. That really reassured me and it just shows how much she cares for her guests.Thank you for making us feel secure, Lisa!

Time for a get away close to the beach but off the beaten path…..
My husband & I were headed to the Riverside area to see our daughter while she is going to school out there from Nebraska; however, we wanted to stay some place to get away & relax after almost 18 months of ups & downs w/cancer & not the rush of the city. The cabin was perfect!! We could enjoy a fantastic breeze through the windows @ night, go off-roading, hang out just trekking the mountain sites or any of the three lake areas, or even take a day trip into the city to go to the beach, see the ocean, take in some touristy sites, & have dinner w/our daughter. The views though were probably the most spectacular & breathtaking things that we have seen in a long time!! If we head back that direction, we will definitely be looking @ this VRBO cabin again!!

Great base for exploring area
Cute vintage house, great for exploring the neighborhood - easy drives to Lake Gregory and Green Valley lakes and all the necessities at the house made those trips easy (beach towels, chairs and umbrellas). Definitely a few quirky bits to the house (like carpet stains, bedroom doors that need stoppers to be closed, etc) but there’s so much charm and the bathtubs and toilets and bed linens were squeaky squeaky clean. Gets hot in the summer afternoon (could use blackout curtains on the windows instead of shades) but the floor ac units made bedroom sleeping during the August heat wave no problem and comfortable. Easy communication with the host and the caretaker was there when we arrived at check-in updating the outside umbrella. Would stay again any season, would love to go back in the winter to hang by the fire and play board games.

Lovely Weekend
Very nice property with a beautiful deck. We enjoyed the evenings outside on the patio. It was a bit warm while we were there in September. A little portable air conditioner would be nice especially for bedrooms upstairs. Had everything we needed for a nice long weekend!

I am a mom of three amazing teenage boys. I grew up in Michigan and so I have been a lake lover all my life. I am a marathon and trail runner. My boys and I love to hike to water holes. I bought Ironwood Cabin to continue to create more lasting memories with them.
The first time I walked in Ironwood Cabin and saw the view, I fell in love. I wanted to keep the downstairs rustic and log cabin like so it felt like an escape to an old lodge on a trail through the mountains. The upstairs is bright and white with high ceilings and the beds were carefully chosen to feel like you were sleeping in a luxury hotel. I hope you do enjoy your stay

Why they chose this property

I fell in love with this cozy cabin and it's view. My hope is that you will feel like you are much further away from it all when you come stay at Ironwood.

What makes this property unique

The cabin feels secluded but it's still only 7-10 minutes from the village and its a beautiful drive.
