Nice cabin, great location. Went with 5 adults and didn't quite read the listing so 2 had to sleep in bunk beds. Nice to have BBQ and laundry. Main bed has a memory foam mattress that takes some getting used to but was nice. Great place to hike along forest boundary, and close to brewery which was best part.
Our stay was absolutely idyllic! The cabin was immaculately clean, with a well-stocked kitchen and a cozy fireplace that made for perfect evenings after exploring the nearby trails. Waking up to the stunning mountain views was a highlight, and the Neiborhood provided the ultimate relaxation after a day of hiking. We especially appreciated the thoughtful touches like fresh towels and a smart TV. The hosts were incredibly responsive and accommodating, making our cabin getaway truly unforgettable
Our three night stay went well! We were a little deceived by the pictures, thinking this cabin was secluded. It’s in a neighborhood and the next door neighbors had 4 or 5 dogs that barked the entire time we were in the backyard. The fence is very short, but fortunately our two bigger dogs didn’t seem to mind. The neighborhood was otherwise very quiet! The kitchen is VERY well stocked with just about anything you need to cook a nice meal. The cabin was fairly clean, but the carpet in the living room should be shampooed as it has many stains. We contacted the host during check-in and check-out but they took a couple days to respond, maybe due to it being the weekend. We would enjoy staying here again if we ever visit this area again!
Beautiful weather great for hiking. Beautiful home. We brought our own cooking pots and utensils and glad we did. Coffee maker needs to be replaced takes over an hour to brew a pot of coffee.
We absolutely loved our time in Cloudcroft. The home was super clean and loved how open it was. The bunk bed room was SO fun for the kids and they had pack n play, booster seat, and toys for the littles. Kitchen had all the basics and we cooked at the house each night. The best part was the house backing up to the Lincoln National Forest where we could explore, go sledding, and see wild horses and deer. Town was a short walk or drive away and we enjoyed Mad Jack’s BBQ, noisy water winery, Eight the Cake, and the brewery. The OSHA trail was great too. We had a great time and can’t wait to come back.
This cabin property is classic Cloudcroft! Tucked away above the main town, it provides a warm and cozy place to relax after a day of skiing or hiking. Highly recommended if you want that mountain feel while still being close to town and Cloudcroft Brewing Company, this is your place. Great opportunities to see the local mule deer herd in the Lincoln National Forest right outside the kitchen window! Perfect!
Great location with easy access to the town and backing up to the National Forest. Fantastic view, quiet and safe area. Cozy place that feels like home.
Was a pleasant stay adjacent to the Lincoln National Forest. In fact a hiking trail was less than a minute walk out the back door. Though not secluded the neighborhood was quiet and respectful, and had daily visits by the local Mule Deer. There is a small fenced-in area in the back for dogs but you may have to leash your pet if they are prone to jumping over fences to chase deer. Also, if conditions are dry then you should have no problem driving your 2WD vehicle up through the neighborhood to the cabin. If you are into hiking then there are literally dozens of hikes within 5-15 minutes drive. If visiting White Sands then you’re looking at a half-day excursion to really get into the park and walk the dunes, which is well worth it. Last tip: meal plan and hit up a legit grocery store before reaching Cloudcroft, and maybe bring your own preferred cookware if you are picky.
Ideal location for being close to town but with the forest in your backyard. Rooms were each comfortable and cabin was stocked full of useful things (kitchen stuff, games, everything!). Added bonus was the fenced yard which was great for our small dog to run out without requiring a full walk! We would stay again for sure.
Nice location and neighborhood backed up against the Lincoln Forest. Make sure you arrive while it is still light. Addresses are very hard to see once the sun sets and we initially ended up at the wrong place. You can walk into town and down to the pub without much effort. Hoping we can go back after life settles down.
We have stayed at this wonderful cabin several times and we always enjoy our stay! The inside is great, the kitchen is well stocked (pans, plates, glasses, tools, etc. ) for cooking meals, and the decks are great for sitting and relaxing.
As every other review has states, this house is fantastic. The pictures do not do it justice. We were here for Christmas and planned on cooking a traditional Christmas dinner, with all the sides. The kitchen in this house had so much more than typical short-term rentals: a Ninja chopper, a drip coffee maker and a pod coffee maker, toaster, blender, a large selection of spices, dishes, pots, pans, etc. The only thing the kitchen lacked was mixing bowls, which was odd given how well the house is stocked. So if you like to cook while on vacation, this house is for you. Just be sure to pack a large mixing bowl. Otherwise, this house is fantastic and the property manager, Ian, we very responsive.
We love this cabin! It has everything you need for an enjoyable stay. We all relax on the front deck that is gated to protect a pet and/or grandkids. Seeing elk, deer, and hummingbirds is a bonus!
