About this property

Brightly lit, recently remodeled condo surrounded by open space with World Class fishing on the roaring Fraser River just steps from the front door. Convenient shuttle to slopes steps from our front door. New recreation center with pool, hot tubs and workout equipment. Short walk to downtown Winter Park restaurants, bowling alley, movie theater, Rendezvous Concert Venue and Headwaters wedding venue. This spacious 3-bedroom features big windows, a front porch overlooking the river, a large moss rock fireplace, a 40-inch flat screen TV, and a modern kitchen.

Enjoy remodeled bathrooms, stainless steel appliances and hickory cabinetry in the kitchen(fully stocked with dishes, pans, spices, etc.), spacious living room (complete with board games and videos for the kids), new leather couches and mountain lodge-style decor. Free wi-fi in the unit. All beds are new and comfortable.

It's just steps from the Winter Park ski shuttle, and short walking distance to the movie theater, bowling alley, nightlife, restaurants (including the famous Hernando's Pizza Pub and Randy's Irish Pub). A new community center within walking distance features full work-out center, water slide, lap pool, sauna, hot tub, steamroom etc. Sled hill and snowshoing/hiking/mountain biking trails within walking distance.

In the SUMMER, host a barbecue on the grassy Creekside lawn out front, or take a hike or bike ride on the nearby Fraser River trail or Idlewild Trail System. Easy walk to outdoor festivals.

The master bedroom features a queen bed with plush down comforter and private bathroom with shower. The second large bedroom has a queen bed. Third bedroom has a bunk bed with double on bottom and twin on top.

Good ski condo

Nice condo, comfortable, very nice kitchen, nice view, good to have a real fireplace. Host was excellent and responsive. We were missing a few things and she got back to us right away. The rec center, which is quite new, with swimming pool and hot tubs, was good, but too far to walk in the sub-20 degree weather (parking nearby). There was a problem with the rec center door, and we couldn't get in for the first 1.5 days. The condo is a bit small, but it worked for three guys skiing. Note that the third bedroom has no window. We had an excellent stay!

Wonderful condo, beautiful location!

We enjoyed every minute of our stay at the creekside condo! Check in was seamless with detailed information and Lisa was wonderful to work with! The condo had everything we needed with updated kitchen and bathrooms. The beds were super comfy! The ski bus has a very convenient pick up right out front and we could walk to the store, restaurants, and the hot tub at the nice little rec center. One of the best parts is the peaceful river trail right outside the door! This place will be our go-to for anytime we visit Winter Park!

Winter Park Family Stay

Overall very good. Rec center was fabulous and great for the kids. Adjacent to the rec center was a hill that was great for sledding (next to playground). No real issues in the condo. Would stay again.

Great stay in Winter Park

The property is nicely renovating and everything was very comfortable. It was conveniently located near town and the ski slopes. We had a great trip and we’re very comfortable! The host was very communicative and accommodating. We would definitely rent again! Would love to see it in the summer with the rolling creek right outside!

Beautiful Setting, Super Clean, Easy Check-In

Wow! Just what we'd hoped to find in Winter Park, a lovely condo overlooking a rushing river convenient to everything. The kitchen was beautiful and well supplied. Our host, Lisa, was very responsive and helpful with any questions and suggestions for restaurants, bars and things to do, lots within walking distance. Getting in was super easy with the lockbox. Great family place

This condo provided my family of 6 a comfortable place to stay for our ski trip to Winter Park. It is close to the resort, and also close to grocery stores, restaurants and shopping places. The condo was well-stocked. It has a great view of a stream out the front windows. We had no problem communicating with the owner. She was friendly and responded in a timely manner when we emailed with questions. We will definitely stay there again the next time we go ski at Winter Park.

Perfect Getaway

From the ease of booking, thru our entire stay, Lisa went above & beyond. The unit is exactly as described. Our stay was considered ‘off season’ to many of the locals, so there was little foot traffic thru the Winter Park community. The location of the unit was perfect. We were able to walk to restaurants, shops & trails. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you Lisa. We had a wonderful stay!!

Winter Park Summer 2023

First impression was negative. We walked into the condo and it appeared the previous tenants had just left; beds unmade, towels in the tubs, floor dirty…the cleaning crew had clearly not been there. After multiple panicky calls (5) to Lisa over 20 minutes, she finally answered, and then responded to the problem, found a team to clean up after insisting this had never happened before. Since we had children who needed some diversion while waiting for the cleaning crew to arrive, we were able to bring the kids to the nearby (5 minute walk) Rec center to kill time while the place was made ready. Lisa subsequently made every effort to make our stay pleasant and adjusted our account. It was a difficult start to our vacation, and since we were only using the condo for two days, provided a difficult process for us. The condo met our expectations except it was quite warm (no overhead fans), the screen door was difficult to open due to a defective latch, kitchen soap was depleted, and we really wish they had advised us to bring our own charcoal & lighter fluid in order to use BBQ outside. The gurgling stream outside the front door was enjoyable, and reasonably priced restaurants were in walking distance. It’s an older unit, but fairly well maintained. We’d stay there again if we were in the area, lots of fun things to do and it is nicely located.

Ideal condo for our ski vacation!

We absolutely loved being at this property! Lisa was super helpful when we made our reservation and prior to our arrival. We had no problems with anything at the condo. It is a clean, quiet, corner unit, with a nice layout and plenty of room for the six of us to be very comfortable, and it even has a lovely view of open space overlooking the Fraser River! The condo is ideally located to take the shuttle to and from the mountain (easy to wear downhill ski boots right out the door to shuttle stop), and is walking distance to everything in Fraser including an especially wonderful coffee shop (Moon Frog!), though we mostly cooked in the very well-stocked kitchen. Trails go right out the back of the condo along the river which was a bonus when we wanted to stretch our legs after a day of skiing, and one day a couple of us even cross-country skied from the condo right to Winter Park. We had no complaints whatsoever, and were very happy at this property. Thank you Lisa! (I have to say, the only reason I hesitated to write a glowing review is because I worry this wonderful condo won't be available if one day we are lucky enough to be able to come back to Winter Park :)

Great condo in a great location in Winter Park

Had a great time with the family in the condo. The listing is very accurate and communication is the owner is very timely and clear. The location is super central and walkable to the restaurants and the Fireside Market and Eatery. We will stay in the condo again next time we come to WP.

Everything good, use the window covers in the closet to block the light from the parking lot at night. And eat breakfast at Wake N Bacon!

Spacious and light. Ten minute walk to nice rec center with pool and jacuzzis indoor and outdoor. Town has good restaurants. For skiing, I would recommend renting a car to get to the mountain.

Fantastic time

Had a wonderful time at this property. Lisa was great at communication, and gave clear and reasonable instructions for check-in/out. There are 2 issues we had during the stay: 1. The thermostat we weren't really able to get to work, it didn't seem to respond well to the temperature inputs we had, it just kept on getting hotter no matter what we did. 2. The shuttles are not reliable. I think the shuttle company for the area has not done a good job hiring drivers - and we had issues with the bus not showing up. It was not as convenient as we had anticipated. Overall though, we had a really great time at this unit, and it's location for visiting the town of winter park is fantastic.

Beautiful location

Beautiful location but bedrooms back up to parking lot lights with early morning snowplow's beeping, water radiator noise, and 2nd queen bedroom bed unstable. Master bed is terrific. Living room is wonderful and view is spectacular. Also loved rec center. Kitchen was really good as well. Property manager helpful and responsive!

This property is very run down. Most windows weren’t functional. There were tons of people everywhere and it was extremely noisy. The people above us walked around heavy footed all day and night. There were several parties on the lawn outside our unit. Nightmare

Great condo, great location!

We were thrilled with our stay at Lisa's property. From the get-go, she was very easy to communicate with, even handling a change of dates seamlessly. She gave us great directions, listing of things to do in the area, and check-in procedure. She has made everything very easy, helping us enjoy our vacation at her wonderful property. The property itself was very clean, exactly as pictured and described, and comfortable. The beds were very comfortable, and the living room was very nice to come home to after a day of exploring. The fully stocked kitchen made cooking at home very easy. Having two bathrooms was great, and the water pressure/hot water was amazing. We can't say enough positive about this property, other than saying we can't wait to come back to Winter Park and this perfect unit! The rec center, the city, the location was all so perfect. Thank you, Lisa...we'll be back in the near future!

Great getaway

Nice place to stay. Plenty of room for our family of 4. Host super responsive and process was seamless. Very close to groceries, ski slopes (5 min drive) and a few restaurants. A little outdated which we knew when we booked but couldn’t beat it for the price. People over Us were loud the last night but just a function of group above us I think as we didn’t have an issue any of the other nights.

I'm a Colorado native who has been coming to Winter Park since my childhood to ski. Now, my kids are learning to ski and mountain bike in this beautiful spot. My husband and I have completely remodeled the place, installing all new stainless steel appliances, new leather furniture, hardwood flooring, new carpet and paint and freshly remodeled bathrooms with new tile and fixtures.

Why they chose this property

This is one of the best units in all of Hi Country Haus. Right next to the river, with beautiful views on two sides of the condo, big windows, a nice front porch, and a great, grassy barbecue area. Coming to town for a concert or wedding? We are short walking distance to Rendezvous outdoor event center, and the Headwaters Center.

What makes this property unique

It is walking distance to everything: great restaurants, pubs, live music, hiking, snowshoing, sledding, swimming, hot tubbing...you name it. And the ski shuttle is steps from the front door. Unlike other condos in the area, which are squeezed together, Hi Country Haus is surrounded by Open Space and has a beautiful river running through it. Lots of room on the lawn to build a snowman in the winter or run around and play in the grass by the river in the summer. And the hiking and Mt. biking trails are footsteps away. You may even spot a moose on the hillside across the river!
