About this property

Peaceful Retreat is a two-bedroom stand-alone guesthouse that sits on 30 acres. A large home that has a great living room and nice kitchen for gatherings. Sitting on the front porch enjoy watching the squirrels run through the large oak trees. Located only 15 minutes from town and only ½ mile from the Hilltop Restaurant. Peaceful Retreat is a great place for families to gather or couples to enjoy.
This house is a 2 bedroom, 2 full-bath home that is immaculately clean, neat, and tidy. One of the full baths is upstairs and is shared by the two bedrooms. The other is downstairs and has a tub/shower combo. The rooms are large and spacious, the beds (both queens) are very comfortable, and the kitchen was large and well equipped. TV with DVD and CD movies provided.
There is NO Wifi at this property. Children under the age of 14 years are not allowed at this home.

Quiet Location

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The rental was in a very quiet location but the amenities were somewhat dated. The owners were very nice and greeted us when we arrived. Our only issues were that the main fridge needed cleaning before we could put all our groceries in, and the other fridge freezer didn't work. Parking was also an issue when unpacking and packing. You have to park quite a distance away from either the front of back doors, actually on the other side of the garage. Making several trips with multiple coolers, suitcases etc got very cumbersome. All in all a good place to stay.

Definitely A Peaceful Retreat!

There were 2 couples that stayed here. The house was just perfect! It was spacious, very clean, very comfortable, and well stocked. The rooms were big and the beds were comfortable! It's a great location for a peaceful getaway!

Fredericksburg stay

Property was great and we were greeted in person by the owner when we arrived. The house was clean and well stocked with everything we needed. We loved all the windows and porches to see the wildlife around us. We saw deer each morning, several birds, and even a jackrabbit.

Very relaxing

The house was roomy and comfortable. Not far from town yet far enough away to enjoy and relax. Sat outside at night and looked at the stars and during the day enjoyed watching all the deer.

Quiet, Relaxing

This is a very clean house! Very sweet couple who own it. It was very relaxing, and everything we needed we had. Very quaint. Got to see the stars and a full moon. Very comfortable beds. Kitchen well furnished with everything available to cook. I would go back.

Cozy get away

Where to begin!! The property was absolutely beautiful and clean! The owner was such a pleasure to talk to! The whole stay was so easy going very relaxing and check out was a breeze! The sweet owners were thoughtful and supplied us with breakfast! I’m in awe and will def return!

Shower Weekend

Perfect place for what we needed. Surprise breakfast food was supplied. Very peaceful area, enjoyed watching the deer each morning.

Girlfriend weekend

My best friend & I needed a girls weekend with some retail therapy involved. The property was beautiful. Watching the deer in the morning was so peaceful. Then the ability to hit town in very short time was great. Met the property owner just once when cking in very polite & nice. The house was so immaculate & very welcoming. I will say those 16 stairs ( yes I counted) began to feel like 100 by the time these old girls got ready to leave. I only had one suggestion & that was to be better marked out on road. I tended to overshoot it every time. Other than that it was just what we needed & wanted for getaway.

Peaceful Retreat

Our stay at Peaceful Retreat was just that...peaceful. The owners, Nancy and Donald, were welcoming and answered all of our questions. The home was immaculately clean and everything was labeled, making it easy to find what we were looking for. A lot of the furniture is retro so that took us back to days gone past. The only thing that may need to change is the property description says internet is available, however that is not the case. Initially we were a little disappointed, but that did not last long. It gave us an opportunity to unplug while there and just enjoy each others company. If the opportunity arose, we would stay there again.
