Quiet and accommodating
Quiet area with beautiful views. We enjoyed relaxing each evening on the front porch area and having a cookout. The accommodations were great, enjoyed the comfy bed and walk in shower. Had everything we needed for our short visit. Andy addressed any needs or concerns quickly and efficiently.

Unique
This was a great property. Sad our flight got in later than expected and we didn't arrive until after dark and we were only staying one night. It's off the beaten path but not too difficult to find in the dark. Bed was very comfortable and the shower was amazing. Excellent host.

Beautiful and clean
The property was absolutely gorgeous, everything clean and looked new. Waking up to seeing the animals was so lovely, I wish we had more time on our trip to enjoy all the scenery but we only had one night. The host was very communicative and very helpful throughout the stay. Absolutely recommend this for a weekend getaway !

About the host

Hosted by Andrew Blough

Host profile image
I was born in San Diego and have lived a variety of places around San Diego but nothing matches the tranquility of the rolling hills with the proximity to the beach and restaurants as our current location. I love surfing, hiking, skiing and hanging outside by the fire, as well as engaging in fireside discussions with friends while staring up at the stars. My wife is a passionate animal lover and animal welfare advocate who enjoys hanging with our two dogs and herd of goats. Our eldest daughter enjoys riding horses and our youngest one loves to dance. We enjoy a plant based lifestyle with a particular love for tacos and guacamole. Our family motto is to love God, others, earth and animals.

Why they chose this property

We started a nonprofit farm sanctuary in 2020. Your stay helps to fund the care for the animals. We volunteers on Saturday's from 10:00 to 12:00. Your welcome to hang with the goats or add some volunteer time to your stay. The property is situated in rolling hills of Encinitas and is very rural but still 20 minutes to the beach and 10 minutes to shops and restaurants. A truly amazing place.

What makes this property unique

Access to endless miles of hiking trails where you can find streams and deer. You can also meet our rescued goats or star gaze as this area is a dark zone at night.
