About this property

Eagle's Neck 10 acre Private Waterfront Compound, Ideal for families

This waterfront compound sits on a ten-acre peninsula and offers the ultimate in privacy and security. The property is surrounded on three sides by water and offers spectacular 270-degree views of Eagle Creek Marsh, Truro Harbor and Cape Cod Bay. Dine and be hypnotized watching perfect sunsets from the front porch. Set up badminton or lawn games for friends and kids on the lush waterfront lawn and enjoy cocktails and even more spectacular views on the upper deck. Paddle our Stand-up Paddle Boards or Kayaks a few minutes to the bay at sunrise or Corn Hill Point for lunch. Put your motorboat on the dock and be the earliest bird on the striper fishing grounds.

The main house is an open floorplan, converted 200-year-old Captain's house. The guest 'barn' is newly constructed using 100-year-old posts and beams to create an inviting great room with pool table, tv and foosball for late night revelers. Or send the early-to-bed gang to the barn and party-on to the Sonos sound system, under Edison lights at the main house. This is not Nantucket. Rooms are spread out over 7,000 square feet of 'old Cape Cod, beach house style, and informal comfort. Four King Size guest rooms, Two Queens, 1 Full, 1 Twin room and 1 four-bed dormitory for the kids and extended family. Six bedrooms and 3 pristine full baths and 2 half-baths in the main house, and four bedrooms and 2 crisp full baths in the guest barn sleep fourteen very comfortably (with outdoor shower at both locations.) The well-equipped kitchen has plenty of room for everyone to get in on the cooking. The dining tables (indoors or out) provide plenty of family-style seating for the best gatherings.

Pack up your gang and the coolers or easily bike-ride to ocean or bay beaches...or find yourselves like most of us, never leaving the property's front porch with lazy overhead fans and that spectacular view. Except maybe for a smooth afternoon swim at high tide in the property's swimming hole or an outdoor shower with another extraordinary view. This is the place for the most memorable family reunions; storybook evenings around the firepit, lazy breakfasts on the front porch and simple suppers from the grill. You won't regret the exceptional comfort of this well-hidden Cape Cod getaway.

worth the money

I grew up on Cape Cod and used to landscape the hallmark vacation properties. I'd day dream about taking my family on a quintessential summer vacation there. This dream was achieved at "The Eagles Nest" property. It was perfect, better irl than the photos and descriptions made it out to be. I hope to be lucky enough to return someday. I can't recommend this property enough to do it justice. My family had an amazing experience at this special place.

Absolutely Marvelous

This property is in an excellent location, with beautiful views and access to beaches. Many times we went down to the estuary to swim and use the great paddle boards. 16 people need to eat and there is tons of space to eat at the giant table, and bar space. In addition the gas stove was huge, and at one point we had pots a-boil on all six burners. The bedrooms were nice and luxurious, and we all had tons of room. The whole family played with the pool table and other games in the barn, and had lots of fun. This whole house was wonderful, and we would definitely recommend it to others!

Heaven on Earth!

My family of 20 fell in love with this beautiful home and all of its surroundings. The gardens and views were breathtaking. The outdoor shower was everyone’s favorite along with the lovely porch we all gathered in the evening while savoring each and every glorious sunset. This home is filled with charm and grace yet comfortable in every way. I cannot say enough about the wonderful week we shared together as a family in appreciation of the nature that surrounded us.

Perfect Location for Wedding Week-end

Cape Cod is a very special place to our daughter and her fiancé. Since our families live on opposite coasts, they wanted a location where we could all spend time together and get to know each other. Our first visit to Eagle's Neck was during a February snowstorm. The owners warmly welcomed us to their home and we knew immediately that this was the place we were seeking. When we arrived in August for the wedding week-end, the house was immaculate, the grounds and flowers manicured and everything looked wonderful. There were 19 immediate family members of all ages who stayed on the property. The bride and groom wanted a private location where the children and adults could play together. The children were busy visiting the chickens, gathering eggs for breakfast, playing games, swinging, and having fun at the water. The adults joined them catching minnows, crabs, swimming at the swimming hole and playing games on the lush lawn. The property is large enough that family members could be together or find a quiet place to sit on the porch, swing, take a nap or enjoy the water views. The large and well equipped kitchen was the activity center of the house with family members cooking together and getting to know each other in a casual and comfortable setting. The tent for the wedding activities was set up to view the water and the magnificent sunsets. The catered rehearsal dinner for 35 was held on the patio/arbor area and a welcome party for arriving guests was under the tent. The path lights, tent lights and lights across the water provided a beautiful night setting. Wellfleet, MA is a short drive away and the wedding was held at the Wellfleet United Methodist Church (which is a lovely, small church with a delightful minister). The seated wedding lunch was under the tent at the house with a beautiful afternoon view of the water and house. All of the wedding vendors were local to the Cape and were provided excellent service. There was ample space for the wedding vendors, catering vehicles, etc. The owners were very helpful, providing detailed suggestions about activities, restaurants, markets, information about the house, etc. They were very responsive to questions and anticipated the needs of guests. We felt like we were truly guests in their home, not just clients . We would highly recommend this location for a family retreat, wedding. or special gathering. It certainly fulfilled the vision of the bride and groom for their wedding.

Exquisite Wedding Weekend!

As the owner of Elegant Engagements, a full service event planning agency exclusive to Cape Cod, I have coordinated weddings at well over 250 private homes. This property is extraordinary in EVERY way. The thoughtfulness of the owners make it an absolute dream from initial contract signing all the way through access and flexibility once we're on site. The two homes on this site are both intimate and sprawling at the same time. Intimate in that it feels like your own home, so comfortable and casual yet with very amenity one could hope for. Sprawling in the sheer number of guests the property accommodates and the long driveway in lends itself to a marsh view, an oceanview, a little farm, a field (which we used parking), and all the tidal rivers perfect for kayaking! The barn style home is an outstanding space with a wonderful rustic, romantic feel - perfect for hanging a wedding gown from the rafters and getting "the shot". The second floor deck on the main house made an excellent photo for bridal party... The views, water access and activities provided for were incredible. And everything inside was spotless, everything outside was manicured to perfection, gardens full of indigenous plants abound. Truly, it is a property we will 110% refer to all our clients looking for a true Cape Cod experience for their guests. We are honored to have had the opportunity to spend a slice of our lives here the first weekend in August and look forward to MANY more shared events on site.

Amazing Family Vacation at Eagle's Nest

From the moment we pulled down the long private driveway to the main house, we realized we were about to experience a truly unique Cape Cod vacation. The house was beautifully furnished and the decorative design was a constant reminder that you are on vacation in Cape Cod. My extended family of 20 folks ranging in ages from 7 to nearly 90 years old were all provided excellent arrangements and comfort. From the patio, the upper deck and nearly every window of the main house, we had spectacular views of the bay. Because of the rising and lowering of the tides, the beautiful view was forever changing. The lawn was large enough for us to play games, hold a special event, and to relax and just enjoy the views. The gardens all around the property are lovely and added to the nature splendor of the incredible grounds. The separate "barn" provided additional privacy for our dynamic extended family. For those who wanted to stay up late, the barn had a pool table, foosball, and a table for playing cards, along with a bunch of bedrooms/bathrooms/kitchen/common area. This allowed those who wanted to stay up late to not bother people who got to sleep early in the main house. Off of both structures, there is an outdoor shower. The outdoor shower off the main house was truly spectacular. It is very private, and offers incredible views of the bay. Our family of 4 never used any other shower during our stay. The bay off the back yard offers so many things to do. We took daily dips in the swimming hole, took kayaks and paddleboards to a private beach a short paddle away. The kids especially enjoyed hunting for crabs and critters at low tide, while the older kids were fishing, and other activities. The most impressive feature of the compound is the overall feel of the place. This is a place where many people, including the owner (who has family pictures displayed) create many special memories. The house and property are beautiful, but you feel like you can "use" the place. We have been to other rental properties and sometimes feel like we have to walk 2 feet behind our kids, or avoid using features of the property of fear of messing something up. We never had that feeling the entire stay and felt totally comfortable. That combination of an exquisite house/property and comfortable/relaxing feel is a true work of art. We can't wait for our next family get together at Eagle's Nest. It was a very special week for all 20 of us.

Amazing week at Eagle's Neck!!

Our extended family stayed at Eagle's Neck for a family get-together, and it was just perfect. There was plenty of room for the 20 of us, and the detached "barn" provided a ton of extra space to spread out. The room decorations are well thought out and appointed in a way that you are constantly reminded that you are on a truly special Cape Cod vacation. A note on the barn - if you have night owls that like to stay up late and play pool, foosball or card games, they can do all of that up in the barn and not bother people sleeping in the main house. Those same folks can sleep late in the barn and not be bothered by early risers in the house. The grounds are beautiful, and there are plenty of things to do within the property including a large lawn for games, the bay for kids to hunt for crabs and sea critters, and a swimming hole to take a nice dip. The views are fantastic out from the patio and upper decks, and almost every window in the house has a special view of the bay. The view changes each few hours as the tides come in and out. Both the barn and the main house have outdoor showers that are very private. The outdoor shower down by the main house offers spectacular views, and is one of my favorite features of the property. The most impressive feature of the property is the natural beauty of the grounds and the fact that it is a very comfortable place to spend a week. Although the place is furnished beautifully and with careful thought, you don't walk around worrying about "using it". I have stayed in other places where you feel the owner will notice your every footsteps and sometimes causes you to avoid using the property fully, because of fear of messing something up. In the time I spent at this property, I never had that feeling at all. Total comfort and relaxation. All 20 of us used the property as if we owned it, and when we left, (although it needed a cleaning), it was as we left it. The public beaches in town were great, and there were no crowd on the beach at all. We had all the room we could ever need or want. It is just a short ride over to Provincetown for sight seeing, shopping or a nice meal. We can't wait to get the family together again, and book our next trip at Eagle's Neck. I can't imagine how it could have been better.

Perfect wedding weekend at this Cape Cod home!

We rented this amazing home for our wedding weekend in June. I can honestly say it was the best part of weekend and our family and friends agreed. We wanted to be able to stay with our closest people in a more intimate setting other then a hotel. On the wedding day we had a wonderful breakfast with fresh eggs from the hens. I got ready in the main house and the boys in the other house. We did a first look in the backyard along with lots of pictures with our bridal party and family. The views were not only amazing but Carole's roses and gardens were so beautiful! The day after the wedding we had lunch at the house with our relatives who came from out of town. We went out on the water using the paddle boards and little boat. We didn't have time to go to the beach but they even left a beach car for us to use with a beach sticker. The home owners, Carole and her husband were two of the nicest people. They were so accommodating and easily accessible before, during and after our stay. They made everything so easy for us! You could tell the house was filled with lots of love and memories. We certainly created ours that weekend as well. My family is already thinking of a reason we should rent this gorgeous home again!

September Wedding

My daughter and her husband recently got married here and it was just breathtaking. The tent was erected perfectly to frame the view of the water and sailboats. The whole wedding party stayed here with their partners and had a great time with many of them as first time visitors to the Cape. It's a bit tricky getting up to the property but well worth it once there. There were 145 guests and a live band that didn't end until 11:30. With the amount of people she wanted and no stipulations on the band, this was the ideal place. We had looked at several other venues closer or in the outer cape towns and they couldn't accommodate the number or they required a 10:00 end time. September is a perfect time on the Cape for such an event and the weather although touch and go over the few days before and the day after, was lovely on the day. The only snag was the shuttle service. They didn't like the road up and one got stuck, but otherwise went without major issues. The owners were very flexible and understanding about vendor pick up arrangements and clean up times and were very easy to work out details with. The photographer's pictures aren't in yet but I have no doubt he captured the beauty of the place and the wedding itself!
