Great property and great hosts!

This is the perfect place in winter or summer for a family to gather! The hosts are great communicators. The location is ideal. We really enjoyed our time there.

Family friendly, but property could use some love & heavy clean.

All parties enjoyed the vacation & the house was large. No fuss home. Easy to keep tidy & low pressure since it far from pristine. We loved the location. Close to hikes & an easy drive to the tourist towns. Overall, we felt the price of the house even with the amenities (pool, hot tub) was not the best value. We loved the yard & giant kitchen table. Problem #1: Property is not clean & a bit worn. We spent a bit of time wiping down surfaces & were not hindered in fun or relaxation, but we suspect there was no cleaning between rentals. Examples: •lots of hair in bathrooms •extremely dirty windows & glass doors •scents from other people’s perfume/ products in one bed •litter around the exterior •Plastic confetti in pool •moldy shower curtains •left over debris from last renters under couches, in corners Problem #2: Service people showing up unannounced. •our first day a cleaner showed up and asked to vacuum all the rugs & take pictures. We had a baby sleeping, a mother napping, and one adult watching kids in the pool. So it was inconvenient & strange, but also disruptive. •easter morning during our brunch another person showed up to cut the grass. We had to stop and clean up our lawn toys & had the buzzing of the lawn mower as background noise for our well planned & executed holiday brunch. Very annoying. •our 3rd morning chainsaw buzzing rattled the quiet morning for several hours, starting around 8 AM

Great family home base!

Poolin Around was a great home for our annual family vacation. Everyone had room to spread out and rest after being active all day. The hot tub was relaxing and the fire pit was a perfect hangout spot.

Great space for groups

My husband and I are youth pastors and we took our students here on a retreat. The location was great for us and everything worked according to the listing. It had everything we needed in the kitchen except a working can opener. We did run out of TP and the cabin is a bit dusty and could use a good deep cleaning but it didn’t hinder our fun at all. There’s a great outdoor space and entertaining space indoors. It’s just a 10 minute drive to some nice hiking trails and there’s a dollar general right down the road for necessities you forget!

Family Time

Second time staying at this property with our family. Both stays were great. The property provides good space for large families to share meals, good setup for sleeping, and space to share family time. The pool is great for the kids.

Fantastic for a family

For a family of 14 age ranges from less than 1 year old to 60+ this place had everything we wanted, the kids loved the pool and games, the the adults loved the hot tub, large table and kids room big enough for all of the kids.

Perfect for a large family/extended family gathering. The kitchen had everything we would need. Everyone loved the pool,c hot tub, fire pit, movie room. We also spotted many bears while walking outdoors!! Perfect place to stay to create memories!

Paid $5500 for a cabin with heated indoor pool. The pool never worked til the day before we left. Owners said it worked up to the day we arrived, poolman said there was a electrical surge the week before. We ask for a partial refund or maybe even a discount IF we booked for next year. They told us apparently we enjoyed our stay since we stayed, we had NO choice but to stay. We enjoyed it because of the company, no other reason. My sister rented a cabin the same week we were there in an area 4 miles from PF with the same number of rooms an amenities except no pool. Cost her $3600. We had no pool so we felt it only fair to get something in return....YOU ARENT PROMISED WHAT YOU PAY FOR HERE. One other thing. They did tell us that they give ANYONE who leaves a 5 star review a 5% discount on their next visit. In other words they are bribing ppl for a good review.

Family Reunion -

We had a great stay. The house is very spacious and has a great set up for large groups. The kitchen table was perfect for large family meals. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and cups, a great coffee maker, however we found the silverware lacking (only 9 sets) and the cookware was sparse, only one baking dish and one baking Pan. The refrigerator was missing most of the shelves in the door which made stocking it interesting. The pool and hot tub were very clean and we enjoyed them. My only other issue was mold and mildew on at least one shower curtain. All issues that can easily be fixed.

Enjoyable Family Experience

Lots of positives: The location was great, property was clean, air conditioning worked great, lots of room for the family including four private bedrooms, owner was very responsive and kind, the hot tub was fun. The only real complaint we had was calling the pool heated when it was clearly not working. Still, some of the group let our bodies adjust to the chilly water and had a blast playing into the pool, regardless of the temperature. Overall great place!!!

We had a party of 14 for my husband 80th Birthday we all had a great time The house was a great size a couple things need to be replaced due to worn out but iI can see they are doing on things do I m sure they will get to everything Would stay agiain had a great time

Family Reunion

Overalls we enjoyed our stay. However, the property needs several updates. Leaky kitchen faucet. Knobs on cabinets falling off. Frig rough shape. There were plenty of plates/bowls but not enough silverware or Tubberware. Clothes washer took much effort to get started each load. No sheets for the hide a bed were provided. Extra towels would have been helpful and floor mat for the bathroom in the main suite We loved having the pool and our kids used it often. However, we had no instructions concerning refilling the pool or chemicals to add to the pool or hot tube. The space was good for our family of 18. The temperature in the rooms varied considerably. One very cool, another so warm we had to purchase a fan in order to sleep comfortably. The overhead fan in the room was not functioning well. The fire pit was used twice. Nice to have. Welcome info fold was empty. We would have benefited from information concerning local attractions and rates. After the fact we discovered a phone number on the frig for assistances. These numbers should also be in the welcome binder. We would return again but sight needs upgrades to get top ratings.

Expected more for price

On our way to the rental, I received a text from property manager (PM) saying that due to the termination of her cleaning crew, our rental was being changed to an upgraded version of what we rented. The rental was not identical and not an upgrade. It was dirty. Floor was unclean. Ceiling fans throughout appeared as though they had never been cleaned. There was ceiling fan type of filth on the ceiling in kitchen where the vented hood blew. No lighting in back and no chairs around fire pit like our chosen rental. Cobwebs were on the lighting in the house. The washer and dryer were hard to get started and we’re filled mold and lent. Dryer exhaust vent had lent blowing out and is fire hazard. The bathtubs backed up the entire time they were being used. The hot tub was not clean or sanitized like a pool. The pool was clean but didn’t smell clean with the chlorine. There were places in the floor that seemed soft underneath the flooring. The media room couldn’t be used because the smell wouldn’t leave. We bought Febreze and it just wouldn’t go away. We were bummed that it wasn’t like the pics. Pool table felt was very old. Lotta money spent and expected much more. 😏

Family celebration of parents 50th anniversary

We enjoyed are stay. It was great for a family just wanting to be together. The kids loved the pool and the theater. There were things that needed some attention in the cabin like sinks stoppers were broke in down position. Several cupboard door knobs needed repair but overall this met are expectations . The manager was quick to return calls and do what she could.

Worst rental experience ever

The house was dirty when we checked in. There was food stuck to the stove, utensil holder. There was a bug smashed on the wall in the kitchen. There was a hair barret in one of the beds when we put the blanket back. The drawers and shelves in the fridge are held together with duct tape and epoxy. The heater on the pool was not working, the water didn't get above 59. There was trash all over the patio and yard. We tried to cook garlic bread in the oven and the element in the oven was broken into pieces and the oven wouldn't work. The box spring was broken in one of the bedroom and caused the mattress to sink to the middle. There is black mold covering the side of one of the beams on the ceiling. There were bugs in the bathroom like someone had left the window open all night. We booked the house for 20 people and only had 12 forks so we had to take turns eating. The pool table was so wobbly you couldnt play, if you tried all of the pool cues were broke or bent. When I contacted the owner she had the cleaning lady call me who was extremely rude and all she said was it was fine an hour before you got there. I took pictures and documented everything. The owner started ignoring my messages when I asked to speak with them after being dismissed by the cleaning lady.

I love the mountains and the privacy of the cabin. The cabin is located in a secluded resort setting. It has a private heated swimming pool inside the cabin, a movie theater, and a game room. The ease of access from I-40 is also a huge benefit to guests driving in.

Imagine looking over your shoulder and into the swimming pool room! This cabin has its own private swimming pool with two glass walls looking out into the woods of the national park! A movie theater and a game room is located on the second floor and there is a private hot tub on the back deck. I love sitting on the large front porch and enjoying the quiet private front wooded yard. You can even hike down to a running stream behind the neighborhood. The cabin is just 14 miles to the Gatlinburg city limits, with easy access from I-40 or Gatlinburg with well maintained roads that are relatively flat and wide. There are no steep, winding, narrow roads here. There are lots of trails and hiking nearby too.
