Nice place but...
Checked in around 6:15, had a dinner reservation at 6:30, just enough time to drop our bags and go. The unit is decorated nicely and has all the necessary amenities. Returned around 11 and watched some TV. My wife who is very sensitive to mold said it smelled like mold as we watched TV. Went to sleep. I woke about 6:30 gagging, could barely breathe. Had to get in the car and take a drive to clear things up. My wife was up when I got back, said LET'S GO, I can't stay in here another minute. We left around 8:30, spent a total of about 9 1/2 hours in property. Checked into a local hotel for the rest of our stay at an additional great expense. VRBO requires upfront payment in full, I'm aware of the rules. I contacted host and asked if they would consider refunding some money considering the situation. When she got back to me she refused and threatened to sue us for slander if we said anything bad and basically accused us of being too uppity, "sorry if it wasn't fancy enough for you, but we are not giving you any refund". I have given i enough time to see if their conscience might kick in but no. The place was flooded during Ian, they said it was fully remediated. Maybe they did their best to do so, but if it bothered us both, it had to be "something". Why on earth would we leave after 9 hours when we paid for an entire week in full, That's crazy. I feel bad leaving this review, maybe it's their only income, either way, MY conscience says it needed to be said.
