About this property

As an old cottage probably built in late 19th century, the house needed to be extended and renovated. It is now a comfortable house with central heating, a fireplace and large bay windows looking out on the sea.
Around is an exuberant garden with trees against the winds and storms and all kinds of shrubs. The only house down a short lane from the road, it is quiet and secluded, but not isolated.
It offers 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a large kitchen dining room, 2 living rooms and an office doubling as TV room.

Séjour très reposant dans ce cottage de. Harem et ce cadre idyllique

La maison est très agréable à vivre avec sa grande cuisine conviviale et ses nombreux salons. Elle est grandement ouverte sur les extérieurs et donc baignée de lumière. Le cadre est enchanteur, et évolue sans cesse au fil des marées et des jeux de lumière. Un lieu idéal pour se reposer et se régénérer

Maison pleine de charme idéalement située

Nous avons aimé la sensation d’arriver dans une maison de vacances familiale et pas dans qq chose d’impersonnel. Certains matelas mériteraient d’être changés mais pour le reste, c’était vraiment parfait !

We had an excellent week here. The house is in a fantastic location.

Our family 2 adults and 3 children ages 10, 14 and 15 had a great week at Rosduff. The kids loved it able to swim right outside the house. The local beaches Trà Bui one of them were beautiful.

Wonderful location, beautiful house with very generous facilities. On the downside significant smell of damp in the two downstairs bedrooms, cooker could do with being updated and ramp at gate is a hazard to car undercarriage.

Lots to do in area. The house was a great base to come back to in the evening. The gardens and scenery were lovely.

A Unique Spot

A unique house in the heart of Connemara, with great views, close to some of the nicest and most untouched beaches. You will definitely need a car to get around. Roundstone, Clifden and Ballconnelly are all within about 30-40 mins. The local shop is 10k away and perfect for all basics. Coynes Bar and Bistro is a short drive, with really lovely food. The house itself has everything you need, it is quirky and homely with plenty of rooms which is great if you are in a group or with children. Bikes and Kayaks are available to use. Mary, the host on the ground is extremely welcoming and responsive, we had no contact from the owner. Being truly honest the house is in need of a really deep clean, there is a lot of dirt and dust, in, around and under the furniture. The bedroom downstairs next to the kitchen is extremely damp and musty. There were mice spotted in the kitchen on three occasions which was reported and dealt with, and we were assured this was common in the area at the time of year if doors are left open, however this still does not bode well given what we paid for a week here. In spite of this it’s a lovely spot, but a deep clean would make all the difference. (On a separate note: the return of the 500-euro damage deposit did not get returned to our account on the date VRBO specified, in fact it still hasn’t reached our account and we left the property 4 weeks ago, be aware of this)

Wonderful cosy family retreat in a beautiful setting

We’ve just had a wonderful relaxing holiday in this home full of books and crannies with lots of places to cost up with a book, and a fun cd and board game collection. It’s nicely decorated, but not such that you can’t relax there- quite the opposite. It had everything we needed. The local shop in Kilkieran also did the job. Really enjoyed the many garden spaces, picking the apples and blackberries, and kayaking from the inlet right outside the house. We hope to return...

Charming, cosy cottage with amazing views

We had a lovely family holiday here with a group of adults and teenagers. What a spot! The view is amazing - constantly changing sky and water. The house is set up very well - lots of room, very charming and cosy, several places to sit and read and relax so we all had our own space when needed, especially on the rainy days. The kitchen was well equipped with plenty of room for a large group to sit and eat together. The fireplace was a great asset, even in July with the ever changing Connemara weather. Mary is the local contact and she was very easy to get a hold of when we had any questions. Similarly Nadine and Hugh were very responsive by email. Thanks to all for that. We would all recommend it for a comfortable, relaxing family holiday. It's a bit remote so a car is definitely needed to fully explore the area. But if you like quiet and gorgeous views and nature it's just the ticket.

Excellente localisation et vue superbe.

Superbe vue sur la baie et de ses phoques. Proche de Cilfden et des promenades autour de la Sky road, de Roundstone, de Diamond Hill (belle ascension à pied). Le Conemarra à 40 minutes. Beaucoup d'autres choses. Maison fonctionnelle, kayak et vélos. Deux superettes à 10 minutes.

excellent séjour dans un cadre magnifique

Nous recommandons vivement ce joyau d'une propriété à tous ceux qui souhaitent passer un séjour reposant, plaisant sur le plan esthétique et aventureux à Galway. Mer au fond du magnifique jardin, randonnée depuis la porte, beaucoup de choses à découvrir et à faire dans les environs. La maison est bien aménagée pour toutes les commodités et est très bien organisée. Merci Nadine et Hughe, nous avons vraiment apprécié la découverte de votre maison.

Très belle maison, vaste et décorée avec beaucoup de personnalité. Pour ceux qui recherchent un endroit authentique imprégné de l’Irlande... Idéale ! Ce n’est pas un endroit aseptisé, mais on a l’impression que les propriétaires sont très impliqués et aiment leur beau cottage ...

Séjour nature parfait avec découverte du Connemara et des Irlandais très accueillants

Superbe maison avec beaucoup d'équipements à disposition, l'idéal pour profiter pleinement des alentours en famille, que ce soit à l'extérieur avec la kayak, le point baignade, les cannes a peche et les vetements de pluie, ou à l'intérieur avec une cheminée idéale pour les soirées cosy en musique, les grands espaces communs et individuels qui sont parfaitement adaptés pour des vacances en groupe et encore une fois tout les équipements à disposition qui font que dès le début on se sent comme à la maison. Avec un accueil plus que parfait sur place. Et à chaque ballade, une rencontre avec des irlandais en promenade qui n'hésitent pas à venir discuter et donner quelques conseils précieux, notamment pour la pêche ou les bonnes pratiques avec le climat et le terrain (attention à la tourbe :) ). Tout le monde est reparti très contents du séjour et avec pleins de souvenirs ! Merci au phoque qui nous rendait visite dans la baie et que tout le monde cherchait à la moindre occasion et merci pour ces beaux moments à Mary, Nadine et Hugues !

Wonderful stay in the heart of Connemara

Comfortable and cosy house that make you feel as at home. Interesting collection of travel guides, maps, books and flamenco CDs. Very well-equipped with all you may need during your stay. Nice and very quiet surrondings

Hautement recommandable maison

Bonjour, Nous avons passé une excellente semaine en plein cœur du Connemara grâce à cette maison. Certes quelques peu excentre mais elle permet d'être dans un petit Avre de paix chaque soir. Chacun pouvait bénéficier d'un endroit bien à lui, mais également de profiter de l'eau puisque chaque soir nous péchions et admirions la vue des phoques et loutres. Si c'était à refaire, nous serions tous partant !! Encore merci
