About this property

Our condo (Hale Kamaole #201) is located in one of South Maui's most popular resorts Hale Kamaole and has unobstructed views to the beach and Pacific Ocean. No looking over rooftops, between buildings, or through trees which is why we call it the 'Best View on Maui'!

Our condo is our home away from home and has been completely remodeled. We are located on the second floor (stair access only) with no one above you. It is a large open air conditioned , 2 level 1277 sqft (119 sqm) unit and can comfortably sleep up to six. It is fully equipped to ensure your stay is relaxing, enjoyable, and a great value. It has a full kitchen, washer & dryer, 2 bedrooms both with king beds (one upstairs and one down), 2 baths and a separate loft area with two twin beds (can be made into a king). TVs in living and bedrooms. Free wireless internet and free long distance calling to the US mainland and Canada.

If you enjoy the beach it is only a 30 second walk away! No need to drive your car and search for a parking spot. Just grab the keikis (kids), your towel, a good book, and walk across the street to one of Maui's nicest beaches and parks Kamaole III. We have boogie boards, beach chairs, beach towels, snorkels, masks, fins, and other beach items for your use.

Our location is a five minute walk to popular restaurants, bars, and shops. The boat ramp is a 5 minute walk too. Many of the popular aquatic attractions leave from here including the famous Molokini Crater snorkeling trip, scuba diving, kayaking, and other activities.

Amazing Stay

We love this unit so incredibly much! I have been coming to Hale Kamaole for 40 years and this is BY FAR the best unit we stayed in. Its clean, well equipped, comfortable, and has tons of space for everyone. Not to mention the view, which is insane. We have stayed in this unit for the last 2 years and would never stay in another unit again.

We did in fact see whales

Other than that our stay in Maui was very good. We were right across the street from Kamaole III which is a nice beach though does have some rocky places. However it wasn't too crowded so we were able to swim, boogie board and play in the sand as much as we liked. We were there in January so the Whales were active and we were able to see them from the lanai, though I would recommend bringing your own binoculars as the ones in the condo leave a lot to be desired. The condo itself was pleasant though it did get a little warm and muggy during the hot part of the day. The A/C Units helped to stifle that as well as letting the outside air waft through. While it is nice to be so close to the beach and be able to see the whales from the porch one thing I hadn't counted on was the noise from the road outside. It didn't affect sleeping or anything but did make it more difficult to hear during the busier parts of the day. Fortunately we weren't in the condo all that much so this wasn't a huge issue. The only real downer was having to purchase our own bath soap, TP and paper towels. 7 nights is just too long for what was provided.

Well stocked, well kept, updated in recent years, newer a/c setup (no window shakers), very clean, always a score if there is availability in Hale Kamaole but this unit is amazing.Watched sunsets from our front row seats on the balcony or ocean side a short walk thru the park. Enjoyed being so close to the street, always something to see (scooters, bicycles, motorcycles, lots of pedestrian traffic in daytime). Convenient to parks, malls, restaurants, all within walking distance if you are physically able.Best unit in this complex.Thank you for sharing your amazing space with us and anyone fortunate enough to find availability.Highlights: OO Farms in Kula for their brunch/coffee/farm tour - teens loved the chameleons that were found in the foliage; information shared by staff throughout the tour was spot on; the food prepared by the chef & his assistant(s) was so wonderful/something not to be missed! The Molokini snorkel tour with the Pride of Maui tour was a great day and money well spent. Smaller group with higher ratio of staff to customers.The road to Hana tour company took our party of 5 to ensure we got to experience the tour as well as their very knowledgeable driver was most happy to work and share the local history.Thank you for a memorable vacation that we will all be reminiscing and sharing with the hope that more people will return to Kihei for their vacations.

Great location! We loved waking up and walking 3 minutes to snorkel! Kids enjoyed playing frisbee while Dad and I watched from the lanai with a delicious pineapple wine!

Best condo and view in Kihei

We had an amazing vacation at your Kihei condo. The location was perfect, the view was stunning, and the condo had everything we needed for a fantastic stay. Just across the street is such a wonderful beach with tons of sea life including turtles there everyday. Just a short walk to great restaurants and store. What a vacation and we will be returning for another stay soon!

Already Booked For Next Year

I have been staying at the Hale Kamaole since I was born, and this is by far the best unit I have stayed in. Its one of those places that you almost don't want to review because you don't want it to get so popular you can't get in again! But we are actually already booked for next year, because I don't ever want to stay in a different unit. It was super clean, well equipped. The owners were friendly, and quick and easy to deal with. I loved everything about this unit. I have a very messed up back, and the bed didn’t cause me pain, which is almost unheard of. The view is obviously unreal. I was even able to watch my husband and kids boogie board from the kitchen table, and we did see a lot of whales! We didn’t need to use the AC often, but when we did, it was quiet and efficient. The water pressure in the upstairs shower was awesome, everyone fought over that shower. I think the only things I would change are adding some sort of drawers or something in the loft, as my daughter didn't know where to put her clothes, and they ended up everyhwere, and improving the wifi a bit, because we had a few issues with streaming shows getting hung up. Also maybe some new boogie boards, as there was only one and it was missing the strap, so we ended up renting - but that is super cheap so not a huge deal. We were all so happy there this year. Typically we are kind of ready to come home by the end of our trips, and this is the first time no one wanted to leave yet. It felt like home.

Perfect location and amenities

This location was perfect as we had activities all over the island. The space was perfect for our 2 couples and one child. Beds super comfy, laundry in condo, kitchen fully equipped. But the best part was the gorgeous view! We could not be happier with our stay.

Location, Location, Location!!

The location was everything for our family. We had the best views, shops, restaurants and beach access. It worked for our family ranging from ages 1years old, teens and the adults. The host also provided everything we needed for a perfect beach day. We are so thankful for all this home provided and the great memories made. Plan to visit again!!!

Incredible views

Michael's condo was fantastic! The views are incredible, we could easily see whales throughout the day from every window and the lanai. Being right across the street from the beach and park was also great. We walked a few minutes farther to Kam 2 as it is a bit bigger beach and it had the best boogie boarding! I loved that the condo was so close to Wailea also and the shops and restaurants there. The condo itself was also great. Super clean, well updated and decorated. It was spacious and well-stocked. The only thing for folks to know is that there is some road noise. The condo enjoys the unobstructed views in part because it is right on the road. It did not bother us but for those sensitive to noise it could be a problem. Overall, I would stay here again. Michael was communicative and everything was perfect!

Lovely place!

We saw whales from the lanai and watched the sun set every night. Close enough to shops and beaches are just across the street. My teens had enough space and didn’t want to leave :) We hope to be back!

Fabulous!

Highly recommend! The condo had everything we could possibly need. It was very clean and it’s a great location. The layout was perfect for two couples with plenty of extra room. We didn’t even use the loft area! Everything was perfect.

Maui with a view

We really enjoy our stay at this condo. It had a clear view of the ocean so we were able to enjoy the sunrise and sunset off of our balcony. The condo was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. It truly is home away from home. The owner was very accommodating and friendly. We will stay again in the future and will referral friend and family to this condo.

Great time

Overall it was great! Awesome location and a lot of fun. Only concern was the AC. It would get pretty toasty in the late afternoon. I believe all the units in Hale have the same system, so not a whole lot you can do without changin out the entire HVAC system. We would rent the unit again for sure!

Best View on Maui (BVM)- condo

Great stay @ BVM! Condo was well appointed as stated in description. The owner, Michael, was very accessible. Snorkeling gear was a bonus. Nearby parking was always available. The only downside was street noise at night on Kehei Road but the sunset views and the grass park across the road made this end unit more than worth it. Thanks, Michael

Great vacation rental for a family of 5

We are a family of 5 (three kids aged 18, 16, 12). We loved the location of the property: literally walk across the street to beaches, and lots of restaurant options within 10 mins of drive. The rental is spacious, clean, bright, and we really appreciate the view from this corner unit! We had a great time.

Best View on Maui review

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and this unit - was an amazing view of sunsets!! The property is well maintained and a convenient location for almost anything. We will look to stay here again when we return to Maui.

Stop searching! Book this! You will thank me!

Michael was extremely easy to work with and very thorough. The property exceeded our expectations. It truly is the best view on Maui. It was wonderful to explore the island early in the morning throughout the afternoon. Each day we arrived back with our dinners that we picked up to go and sat on the lanai to watch the amazing sunset. There are no words to describe how perfect this location is. Parking was easy. We loved watching the traffic (boats, beach lovers, etc.) As we enjoyed our morning coffee and dinner. The grounds were extremely clean, birds were beautiful and loved listening to their songs. Early morning Yoga/meditation was dreamy across the street. I could see lots of turtles from the rocks. In between the kam III cove and just before the boat dock has beautiful snorkeling. We had no issues with bugs or ants as we kept all food in refrigerator or freezer. There was however a few geckos that would watch the sunset on the lanai with us at night. AC in bedrooms worked great for sleeping. And it remained cool during the day with Tradewinds. We have no complaints at all! **** This is of no fault to the property owner. *** I gave 5 stars for office because I didn't want to effect the condo rating. But the office staff was not even a 1 star. The office staff was NOT friendly. Would not go talk to them if I didn't absolutely have to get the parking pass.. They clearly did not want to be there and it was the only low point during our entire vacation.

My husband and I honeymooned in Hawaii in 1987 and fell in love with the Islands. Maui turned out to be our favorite which is why we purchased our condo in sunny Kihei at Hale Kamaole. The grounds are beautiful, you are 30 seconds from the beach, and the view from our condo is stunning which is why we named it 'Best View on Maui'. Why they chose this property

We have been to most of the Islands and Maui turned out to be our favorite. Kihei is a great town with a little of everything. Great beaches, a variety of resturants, shops, cinemas, grocery and drug stores, and not as 'touristy' as other places. You are 30 seconds from the beach at our condo and Kihei is always sunny.

What makes this property unique

If you want to enjoy your coffee in the morning while watching the whales and the paddle boarders or watch the sunset every night from where you are staying our condo will not disappoint. In addition we have 2 beautiful pools, tennis courts, and barbeque islands for those of you who like to grill.
