Welcome to Tatanka Lodge, a cozy yet elegant modern log-style retreat tucked away in the peaceful Apple Springs subdivision of Boulder Canyon. This spacious 2,600 sq. ft. home offers the perfect blend of rustic charm and modern comfort—just 10 minutes from downtown Sturgis, and Deadwood on all paved roads! (Perfect for Bikers!)

Step inside and feel right at home with warm hardwood floors, vaulted ceilings, antler chandeliers, and a stunning stone fireplace that sets the mood for a truly cozy cabin experience. Large windows and an open floor plan invite in natural light and serene views of the pond and greens at Boulder Canyon Country Club.

The fully equipped gourmet kitchen features new appliances and all the cookware you need to whip up delicious meals. Enjoy dining inside at the formal table for 8 or al fresco on the back patio with seating for 6 and a Weber gas grill.

Sleeping arrangements offer comfort for everyone:
• Master suite: King bed, designer travertine shower, and a separate jacuzzi tub.

Would Definitely Stay Again

My husband and I stayed here over the long President's Day weekend. The cabin is absolutely beautiful and very well-appointed...the kitchen is more than fully stocked, there are a variety of games and the streaming services/TVs are fantastic. This cabin would be great for a family as well, but as it was just my husband and I, we basically only used the main level since that's where the kitchen, living area and Master bedroom are. The bed was very comfortable and the en suite bathroom was great (and there's a powder room on that floor as well)! We did have a couple random issues when we checked in but Mark was extremely responsive and took care of things the best he could and we were overall very happy with our stay. The location is wonderful - between Sturgis and Deadwood - so everything you'd want to do is easily accessible, and we were able to get a taxi to and from Deadwood both evenings that we went out for dinner and activities in town. The ONLY thing I wish it had was a hot tub, but that is certainly not a deal breaker, and of the cabins we've rented in the Deadwood area, this is our favorite. We will stay here again!

We enjoyed a marvelous time in Sturgis. Mark and Veronica were fabulous host. They provided a beautiful, clean cabin with great amenities. They were quick and very responsive to all communications. We appreciated their hospitality and the opportunity to stay in their beautiful rental.

Everything was beautiful and perfect! We would definitely stay here again. The only thing I would change is the cleaning crew (minor things like dead bugs behind the doors, etc)

Sturgis 2023

Love it! Everything was great. My only ask you install or leave a full body mirror in the master somewhere. She’s only 5’ and had trouble seeing yourself to get dressed everyday. Other thought for the bikers, leave garage access for bad weather events. That happened this year, I had a trailer but my buddy and his wife had to leave there bikes out. Thank you, we will book this again for 2025.

Great house for a getaway!

Our family had a lovely time in this home. It was tucked away and quiet. We had a great time and it was the perfect place to come back to when we hiked all day. Very spacious and had everything you needed in the kitchen. There was plenty of room for my kids to have their own room. The foosball table was a huge hit with everyone. Overall, we enjoyed staying in this home.

Perfect spot

This cabin is in a quiet golf course area that's a quick drive (5-10 min) between Deadwood or Sturgis. It's more beautiful than the pictures show and has everything we needed. We would stay here again for sure. It helped make our family vacation special!

Tatanka = Heaven

The property was, believe it or not, more amazing in person. The owner had everything you could possibly need on hand. The location was perfect - close to Black Hills. Badlands, and Custer State Park. My family and I loved it!! The only thing I could say was it needed was labels on the light switches downstairs. LOL. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Just being there is such a great break from the hustle and bustle of life. It is truly our oasis of tranquility. After having spent a week there, there is just a calmness and sense of peace we have when leaving that holds us over until our next visit. We hope all of you can experience this slowing down of the pace of life and feel the peace that the Black Hills has to offer.
