Tatanka Lodge is a cozy and charming, modern log style home in Apple Springs subdivision of Boulder Canyon. 2600 square feet of modern rustic elegance. Conveniently located 10 minutes away from downtown Sturgis on all paved roads! Property has a long driveway suitable for mutiple vehicles, bikes and/or trailers. The home has a fireplace and this reflects a feeling of a cozy, modern log cabin. Vaulted ceilings and antler chandeliers throughout the living room give it a rustic touch. Hardwood floors and wood furniture provide a natural earthy ambience. A beautiful Amethyst stone is in the living room to remind you of all the nature that surrounds you and that awaits you on your visit. Large windows and the open floor plan allow views of the pond and greens of Boulder Canyon Country Club! All new appliances in the kitchen and a full set of pots, pans and cookware needed for creating gourmet meals. Washer and dryer are available inside the powder bath so pack light!! Additionally, outdoor dining in back with a Weber gas grill and an outdoor seating area for 6. Formal dining room table seats 8, with casual seating for 6 at the breakfast bar counter. Flat screen smart TV's in each bedroom and throughout the home including the loft area . There are video games and a foosball table in the loft. The lofts’s sleeping accommodations are a Queen hide a bed sofa (new memory foam mattress.). Spacious master suite, king bed, and large designer shower with travertine stone and a separate jacuzzi tub. Two other guest bedrooms (upstairs) have memory foam mattresses (purchased recently December 2020). Mattress firmness; master bed - medium, guest room-medium, cowboy bedroom - firm. Lounging is available on the covered front porch. Relax outside on the porch swing chair and enjoy the beautiful mountain views. A peaceful place to enjoy your morning coffee, afternoon smoothie or evening glass of wine or beer! Wonderful hiking options, easy and moderate trails nearby. Snowmobile, and ATV trails nearby, and skiing at Terry Peak also available within 20 minutes. Abundant wildlife in a quiet and calm setting. Conveniently located 30 minutes from Rapid City. 5 miles from historic Deadwood and Sturgis. Tatanka is your perfect nest from which to launch all of your Black Hills adventures! Be sure to visit Mt. Rushmore and Crazy Horse on your visit as an educational and explorative day trip. Great skiing nearby in the Winter months. Deadwood is a short drive for shopping and souvenirs. Scott Jacobs Gallery is a lot of fun too. Jacobs Brewhouse and Grocer are great for romantic date nights or cocktails. Their market is next door and they serve coffee and breakfast items. For large groups that prefer home cooked meals we recommend shopping at Sams Club in Rapid City. Target is great too in the same area super convenient if you forget any personal items.
