About this property

My name is Lee Ann and I have owned this beautiful condo at Destin West since 2003. I live in Shalimar and I do all of my own rentals. The condo has new tile throughout as well as new appliances. It looks fabulous and is decorated very tastefully and 'beachy'!! Read on to see some of the great features of my place.

The master bedroom has a large king size bed along with a private bathroom with tub and shower. We also have an enclosed private bunk room with twin bunk beds for the kids! They have their own bathroom with ceramic shower. The den has a nice sleeper sofa which can be used as an extra sleeping area. The unit sleeps 2 adults and 4 children comfortably.

The best part of this location is the million-dollar view. Our perfect spot overlooks the crystal-clear waters of the gulf and bottomless blues of the coastline. You will definitely enjoy the most memorable sunsets of your life looking over our beautiful balcony or see our friendly dolphins playing along shore as you experience an oasis of peace unlike any other. We have worked hard to make sure everything is perfect for the vacation of your dreams.

Rated one of the tops in the U.S. for best vacation spot, Destin West is located in the heart of Okaloosa Island just 3 miles east of Ft. Walton Beach and 3 miles west of Destin. Very nice location with an exceptionally beautiful view of the Gulf of Mexico. Stay for a week or ask for specials during winter months.

Rental agreement also gives you access to the resort located directly north of the condo that includes a lazy river pool and other facilities. A walkover has been built that connects the two resorts making it very easy to accommodate your every need safely and efficiently.

You will never have to get back into your car again once you arrive at our resort. Everything is so convenient with the Okaloosa Island Boardwalk within walking distance as well as many excellent restaurants of choice. Some of our favorite restaurants are Floyd's Seafood House, The Crab Trap, Rockin Tacos and Anglers. They are all within walking distance.

Lovely Beach Trip

My favorite part was the umbrella and chairs set up on beach that was included in the rental. We loved having a spot reserved and all set up for us. Also we loved how close it was to the beach, pretty much just a 5 min walk. Condo was great, everything we needed except there was no blow dryer, make sure to bring your own. Overall would definitely stay here again.

Loud at times

LeAnn is very responsive. She called to introduce herself and to give me her direct phone number before I arrived since she doesn't use a management company.The condo is centrally located to elevators and stairs on the 2nd floor however, this also causes occasional echoing noise coming in around the door that doesn't seal when closed. I communicated with LeAnn the knives are dull and don't cut, and the double doors to balcony are difficult to open. She said they would remedy, but did not while I was there. The angle view of the ocean is minimal as this condo is set back from beach overlooking the pool/hot tub area, but still a nice view of the area. The lazy river is located at Destin West Bayside across the 3rd floor bridge over Miracle Strip Pkwy. The bed has a thick foam topper that made the bed really soft. There's boogie and skim boards, and pool toys in the bedroom closet. There's a couple pool towels in the hall drawers and a water filter on the kitchen sink. I would stay here again.

Best condo ever

When you look to rent some place to stay you never know what your getting until you get there, well, we hit a homerun with this one, this condo is perfect, clean, well maintained, beautiful view of the gulf, balcony overlooking the pool, easy in and out access, the main thing that sold me on this rental is that the owner cleans it herself, its not just an income for them they take personal pride in maintaining the property for others to enjoy, cant ask for more than that, I have relatives that are local so they suggested their favorite eaterys, Dewey Destins, Stewbys, and McGuires, McGuires has the ultimate best pizza that you’ll ever eat, and Mozzerella sticks, you really gotta try them

Great Location

The rental process was simple and straightforward, Leanne was an amazing hostess. Responded immediately to any questions I had and offered ideas of things for us to do and check out while we were there. The condo was clean, comfortable and had everything we could have possibly needed during our stay there. The kitchen was stocked with every utensil, appliance, pan etc we could think of. I had 4 teenagers with me and we all fit comfortably in the condo. The condo has beach service provided which was an added bonus to our stay. Great location to the boardwalk and pier. We really enjoyed our time there and thank you to Leanne for making sure we had everything we needed and just simply making it one less thing I had to worry about.

Wonderful Condo & Excellent Location

The owner of this property is amazing to communicate with and first class all the way. The condo was just as described and in great condition. We enjoyed the quick access to the pools and beach each day, as trying to get three little ones moving can be quite the chore in itself!! Beach chair and umbrella service each day was easy and painless!! Would highly recommend renting this condo!! Short walk to the boardwalk for dining each evening or a quick drive to Harbor Village in Destin as well.

Great Condo & Nice Property Owner

We have stayed at Destin West Gulfside & Bayside 8 out of the last 10 years. This was a very nice condo. It was clean & well appointed. The kitchen was stocked with everything you could possibly need much better than most condos. The best in the masterbedroom was very comfortable to me. The property owner was very friendly & helpful. The only tiny thing i needed was a hairdryer, the condo didn't have one (i assumed it would) and i didnt bring mine, not a big deal but just so you know to bring your own. I would be happy to stay here again.

Awesome Stay!

Lee Ann’s condo was absolutely adorable. It is on the second floor and the view from her balcony was very lovely. It overlooks the pool, but it has a couple of palms in front that make it very tropical. The amenities were great, lots of extras for the pool and beach. Everything was fantastic! Easy check in, Lee Ann was very accommodating. Would definitely stay there again!

Just what we needed for a great family spring break trip

Excellent communication with property manager via email/text. This unit worked out great for our family spring break. The location is quite good with quick access to Destin harbor but not quite all of the traffic and congestion of staying in Destin or Miramar. We have been to the Destin area 4 times now and we loved staying in Fort Walton Beach and experiencing new places to eat and activities to do. My wife and I really liked the food and coffee at the food trucks a short drive away over the bridge (Google Sunset Bowls). The unit itself was clean and represented well by the listing. We had no issues at all during our stay. It is easy to get in and out of the unit and it is located close to all of the gulf side amenities. My kids loved the heated pool and beach service. My wife and I loved the patio and walking along the beach to the pier.

I am originally from Alabama but moved to the beautiful gulf coast in 1982. I am a mortgage loan originator in the local Destin area and have been since 1983. I personally do all of my own rentals and am here every week to do the cleaning myself. I make sure my condo is as clean as my own home.
