My wife and I stayed here for an early anniversary getaway. We enjoyed the house and the area. The house was exactly as listed and was nice being so close to wineries, breweries, and distilleries. Would stay here again.
The stay was very amazing. No one bothered us and it was quiet even for having a few wineries and such very close by. As for the owners they were there if we needed them and responded in good time if there were any questions. Terrific place to relax for a few days. Not a big drive to any store or restaurant. Wonderful views no matter what you do or where you go
We enjoyed our weekend stay at this lovely home, the perfect size for our group of 3. We each had our own comfortable bed and, there was plenty of room to relax. We did not get to take advantage of the fire pit, due to the rain but, enjoyed the conveniece of being steps away from a winery and brewery. Would definitely recommend this place and would love to come back for another stay.

This beautiful old farmhouse was clean and updated. We travelled with our dog and there was a big yard and a smaller fenced yard. The house was well equipped and close to wineries and downtown Hammondsport.
Dan was an excellent host and helped me out when there was some confusion with the reservation. I highly recommend the House at the Y.
This was our second stay between the Christmas and New Year holiday. The location is perfect with great breweries and wineries closeby. The house is clean, warm and cozy with a super comfortable bed, the perfect place to relax and unwind. We'll be back again!
We loved the place! It was comfy and clean and in the perfect location for our trip! The host was attentive and personable. We didn’t need anything from the hosts while we were there because they had everything covered! We will definitely be back!
We were in the area to tour the Corning glass museum and Watkins Glen. This house was in a convenient location to both of these and several nice wineries. Very cute and comfortable with great communication from owner.
My wife and I visited The House at the Y for a Valentine's weekend getaway and couldn't have had a better stay. We especially enjoyed thje convenience of having everything we needed on one floor.
The bed was very comfortable, the smart TVs were nice, and the kitchen had everything we needed to whip up a full breakfast one morning.
If we had to pick out any minor flaws, the floors throughout the home could've been bit warmer This wouldn't keep us from staying again, we'd just remember to bring thick socks or slippers! Overall, this was one of the nicer trips we've taken and we'd love to bring the rest of the family back in the warmer seasons.
The house was definitely as described..could benefit from a little TLC. Some of the flooring is very noisy due to improper installation. The house does have a musty smell and dampness. The water pressure is not the greatest and the water also has an odor. Overall great location and cute old farmhouse.
House was "just ok" floors are new, but were installed incorrectly, could not walk on them with out making a lot of noise. Some areas smelled a little moldy.
When contacted the owner about if sink water was drinkable (it's straight from well and not filtered) he delivered some bottles of water at no cost.
We spent a long weekend with our dog and it could not have been better. The house is situated across the street from a brewery which we thought was the best in the area. Unfortunately we never made it to the vineyard next door because everyday we were wined out by the time we got home.
The house is hands down the cleanest dog rental unit I’ve rented in the last couple years. We travel with our own cleaning products to clean the house before we move in and didn’t have too. There is also a small fenced in area out the kitchen door which was great for the dog to go out and do her business. With the main bedroom on the first floor with everything else it was great. We never used the second floor.
The issue if I had to find one was the lack of central air. I know many places in the region don’t have central air but we could have used it. We unfortunately was visiting during a very unusual hot and humid weekend and the window AC units did a decent job for the conditions. A floor fan or two would have been great.
We loved our stay and this place truly deserves 5 stars across the board. We are already talking about going back next summer.
Great relaxing place to stay. Well worth the price
We had a great stay at the house at the Y. It was just as advertised. Quiet and peaceful. I wish we had booked it for a longer period. Super clean and the rooms are big. all the kitchen and bathroom basics are provided. There are air conditioners in the bedrooms and living room making the whole house very comfortable. There was plenty of space for my family of 4. There are board games in the living room and cornhole, bocce and can jam to use in the huge yard which also has plenty of space to park whatever you have with you. The surrounding areas are beautiful full of vineyards and corn fields and the little center of town was great and of course the lake which is amazing. The house at the y is well worth the price paid.
Definitely would look this property up again if we come back to this area.
The listing pictures don't do it justice, this home truly is so charming and it's been renovated beautifully. My family stayed for 5 days, and the home was equipped with everything we could possibly need, including a toiletries basket for anything we may have forgotten. The home was clean, and all of the beds were super comfortable. Although we did not bring our dogs this time, the home is pet friendly and even has a nice fenced in yard. We felt the location was perfect, with a winery right next door and a brewery right across the street. There are several wineries, breweries, and distilleries along the road, as it's located right on the wine trail, and a short drive from downtown Hammondsport, which is an adorable little town. The owners were very welcoming, and even checked in with us after our first night to ensure we were settled in well. We have two teenage sons, so we appreciated all the provided lawn games the house offers, and the nice fire pit to wind down in the evenings. This was our first trip to the Finger Lakes, and when we return, we will for sure be contacting Dan & Jess to stay at the appropriately named "house at the Y"
The home is roomy, very clean and close to wineries and breweries. It also has plenty of parking and a comfortable king size bed on the ground floor. A huge plus is the fenced side yard for your fur baby. It has a nice place to sit outside with a fire pit and gas grill. I definitely will stay there again
What a beautiful property and home! We were in town for a wedding and this home was the perfect place to stay. Super clean, nice and quiet and located near wineries and gorgeous landscapes. The owner was extremely helpful and communicative. We hope to return to the area, explore a little more and stay in this home! 5 stars all the way!
Very nice place to stay not only for me and my wife but for our dog, Sadie. Very clean and well equipped with all the things one needs for a comfortable stay. Within walking distance of 1 brewery and 2 wineries. Most of the wineries, breweries and distilleries in the Finger Lakes welcome dogs so Sadie was able to join us on many of our excursions.
We highly recommend this property to any and all who want to visit with or without their canine friend. We will be back!
I was deeply impressed with the amenities of the property and the serenity of the location, sandwiched between wineries and with a view of Keuka Lake when taking a stroll in the area.
The hosts were also very proactive in their communication before and after check in and check out
The “Y” is a great central location to enjoy beautiful Keuka Lake! Adjacent to both a winery and a brewery, close to fun dining establishments and beautiful hikes, the “Y” was a comfortable jumping off point for our girls’ weekend adventures. 12 wineries, 10 breweries and numerous restaurants are all within a 30 min. drive.
And we were comfortable in cozy beds at night in our spotlessly clean little house.
I’m definitely booking a return trip to this gem and bringing my pup!
