Good Location Black Mold / Mildew Needs Updated!

This condo is in a very nice location. We enjoyed being right on the beach as well as being able to use the pools. We were also just a short drive to the board walk which was nice. Now to what we didn't like. There was black mildew / mold on the ceiling, lampshade and Murphy bed in the room closest to the ocean view. There was no door handle on the outside of the sliding glass door on the balcony. The condo hasn't been painted recently and there are areas that are very dirty. All of the cabinets and dishes smelled musty. The host did send someone to quickly wiped down the vast majority of the black mildew / mold but there was still a good bit left behind. Overall we enjoyed the location but the condo left a lot to be desired. Especially seeings that they have so many rules and a very large renters contract that has to be signed. We expected to find a condo that was clean and well taken care of and that just wasn't the case.

Overall a wonderful stay!

Our special needs son has been asking about the beach for weeks. We planned this spur of the moment. The room was great and we had no issues. The only thing I would suggest is having a hotel lock put on the door. With my son being special needs is very easy for him to just open the door and run out so to have that extra security at the top of the door would have made me feel a lot safer.

A good stay but not what we expected.

Overall I would say our stay was good. We certainly needed to escape for a bit after everything being locked down for some time. We were able to make it all work in the end for our family so we could enjoy each other and have some fun away from home. We ended up driving a lot to the North Myrtle Beach area than we originally had planned. Turns out it was simply a much nicer area. Based on the resort and unit description we didn't think the area around it would be so lackluster. I still give it an overall good rating - because we were able to drive to the grocery store (about 15 mins w/ traffic) to use the kitchen in the unit since we weren't able to use the resort amenities to eat or drink. The pools were nice, clean and there was easy beach access which was accommodating as described. However, you have zero access to the other resort amenities other than the pools. The lack of the resort amenities were not fully clarified and disclosed for the entire situation we were walking into. (This was addressed with the owner as soon as we arrived, and she was understanding of the need to clarify this listing on here further.) You do have access to the parking garage but it is open for anyone to walk-in and the neighborhood area around the resort was not very well maintained. We had a lot of police presence around which made us nervous since we have two small children and didn't know what we had gotten ourselves into at first. Fireworks were being set off until after midnight most nights. I brought two small desk fans to have ambient noise to block out the hallway noise and fireworks when we slept. The sliding balcony door did not have a lock on it which was a big concern for us with little kids. The unit needs some repairs in the bathroom but it was clean and that's most important. There were a lot of families that were at the resort and that made us feel comfortable about having little kids here and not feeling like we were disturbing older guests trying to relax more. Again, overall the stay was good and our family was able to enjoy being together here. The owner responded to my questions when we first arrived and plans to clarify for future guests. We spent a lot more time driving to get groceries and to avoid the neighborhood around the resort. Beach and pools were very nice, clean and accommodating. Unit was clean and beds were comfortable.
