Peaceful Days

This property was just as described. It was very comfortable and had all the amenities that we needed. We were close to everything and enjoyed dinners in Montecito and drinks at the Rosewood resort. The location was very quiet and in a nice neighborhood. Inside and outside this is a lovely place to stay.

This place was stunning and just the relaxation trip we needed for our anniversary.

We spent most of our days just relaxing with all the windows open, and walking only a couple blocks to Butterfly Beach with our pup. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the hot tub was clean and relaxing. The pool guy did startle us one morning to clean the hot tub because we weren’t aware he would be coming by, but he was super nice and not intrusive at all. We will definitely be returning.

Peaceful Oasis

We had a wonderful time spending the week here. It is incredibly cute and has everything that you need for a getaway. While I was nervous about the lack of air conditioning, I was pleasantly surprised! Despite hotter than normal weather up to 89°, there was a nice Crossbreeze and we only had to use the fan one night. Truman was very receptive and responded quickly on the rare occasion that I had to reach out to him. The neighborhood is quiet and is conducive to running, getting to the beach in a few blocks, and walking to downtown Montecito for shopping and eating. It is definitely on our list for a return visit.

Fabulous long weekend spot

Tucked into the end of a leafy cul de sac you enter a gate and pass through a jasmine-scented garden to get to the downstairs apartment. The apartment is light-filled and well appointed. The bed is comfortable and the linens are good quality. Outside you have a well-maintained jacuzzi and a fire pit to enjoy. The town of Monticito is a quarter mile walk from the house so great foods, shops and morning coffee are just steps away. Likewise the beach is within half a mile. It’s a peaceful location that stands on its own, but is a short drive from wine tasting, the wharf, the zoo and other main Santa Barbara attractions. We would definitely go back.

Ah so relaxing…

Location is remarkable! Too easy access to everywhere and still very quiet except when the Surf liner crossing near by. If you are not familiar to them, you might surprise to their big horn. The good news is they don’t have frequent operations. The house has a lot of sun lights and breath taking greens and flowers surround. You may love to be so long.

Montecito Cottage Modern Comfort

We stayed 3 nights in the lower cottage. The furnishings were modern, bed comfortable with premium linens, and walkable to the village and dog-friendly Butterfly Beach. The outdoor area is fragrant of jasmine. The guests in the upper unit were a bit heavy-footed and the nearby train horns were infrequent but sometimes startling. Truman was responsive to our questions and feedback for future guests about some missing amenities.

Montecito getaway

A fabulous time. Beach walks, bike rides, great restaurants all close by. The property was everything and more. Classic Montecito cottage beautifully decorated, lush gardens with many places to relax. Hope to return!

True divided light house

My wife and stayed here for 5 nights in January. We loved Montecito and the Santa Barbara area. The unit is the lower floor of a house. The place was very open feeling as it was walled almost entirely by windows or glass doors. The outside area had beautiful plants, a nice patio, and a fountain by the courtyard. Truman was responsive to our needs, communicating by texts. This place is great if you have seasonal affective disorder. We felt the sun and beauty around us. While it might be enhanced by having two coffee mugs and a patio table, we had no problem with enjoying it for the unique experience it offered.

My old neighborhood

I love this area, walking to the beach, walking to coast village road, the restaurants, cycling from here into the Montecito hills. Love the quietness and quaintness of lower montecito. The cottage was perfect for my wife and I and our golden who loved going to butterfly beach every morning.

Very nice property. The owner was very responsive to all of our questions. Would stay at this property again. Just a side note: it would be very helpful to have a guestbook with information about how to use the blinds and the tv. Hope to stay there again soon.

Amazing location. Beautiful property

I stayed here during my wedding weekend and it was absolutely gorgeous. Walking distance to downtown montecito and butterfly beach. Short drive to downtown Santa Barbara. Amazing communication with the host Truman. Would love to stay here again. We rented both the top and bottom unit. Highly recommend.

We are a local couple who thoroughly enjoy real estate and the Montecito lifestyle. Week days we're walking our large party poodles around and grabbing lunch to eat at Butterfly beach. Weekends we love going for brunch and visiting the vintage shops in Summerland. Some weekends you'll find us exploring new trails, the farmers market downtown Santa Barbara and simply hanging at home. We live right up the street so any recommendations of things to do or eat we are available once booked!
