The shower wasn’t completely clean (a few stray hairs on the wall), but the cabin overall was lovely. Very cozy and peaceful.

Truly a mountain getaway

This cabin was spacious and lovely. It is very CLEAN, the bed is comfy (but very squeaky!), and the porch was so nice to enjoy when we returned from hiking. The kitchen was well equipped and we had everything we needed to eat in, which we prefer to do. The view was pretty but the focal point was an amusement area (maybe Ober Gatlinburg?), which wasn’t awful, just not expected. The drive to the cabin, especially the actual driveway with its very tight turn up a steep grade, was nerve-racking. This was our first trip like this, so maybe this is typical. WiFi did not work at all for us, but in no way did that negatively impact our experience. Thank you for a wonderful stay! It was such a nice and comfortable experience!

Perfection!

The cabin was very clean! Great neighborhood. Driveway is crazy steep but it was expected because of the description when booking….and it’s on a mountain! The one thing I wish was different is the view to East. It’s overgrown. If it was trimmed the view would be incredible! Had a great time and I would book there again!

Horrible stay

This Cabin needs a good deep cleaning. The windows are nasty. The remote controls need new batteries, and covers making it hard to turn both TV’s. The pillows are very flat and minimal & the bed is really firmed. So uncomfortable! And not to mention the spider webs throughout the cabin. I’m not sure what the cleaning fee was for! Also the 1st level shower has mold growing around the base of the shower. Other than enjoying my other person there with me in the kitchen and sleeping my stay was not at all satisfactory.

Check in was so easy. Cabin was beautiful, view was spectacular! We loved the privacy and convenience of hot tub. Neighborhood was quiet, plus an added layer of security the way the patio gates are set up. We booked another stay immediately. 😃

The 22 Degree Driveway Climb

Well, the many other comments about the windy narrow roads and steep driveway were spot on. Our rental SUV had an elevation and climb setting…most of the hills were easy, about 5-8 degrees. The driveway…22 degrees that required a hard right so you definitely need 4-WD or AWD like the email instructions tell you but only about a day in advance. Beautiful drive up the mountain with gorgeous views yet the narrowness of the roads caused a little panic, especially after dark. The property was just as described and had all of the amenities listed. I rated it a 4 in cleanliness because I’m that person that notices everything. I had to wipe someone else’s hair out of the shower and off the bathroom floor. Noticed some cob webs and also unsure if the blankets and bedspread get washed after other users. Sheets didn’t fit the mattress well so they came untucked or rolled up off the mattress. Other than those items everything was fine. We appreciated the taller shower head, the coziness and decor of the cabin, and the many other amenities we simply didn’t have time to use (porch swing, grill, upstairs balcony). Overall though it was a great place to stay. We were unable to leave our story in the guest book because it was full. We’ll always remember this place because right there in the family room is where he proposed. One other note, Google Maps worked fine for us. We took the Bypass to our cabin and a back way into Gatlinburg saving tons of time from sitting in traffic.

Pictures Are Misleading

Do not bring a low riding vehicle. The driveway is sketchy even with Nissan Altima. Also, the picture showing a beautiful view of the mountains on the upper deck is nonexistent. The trees have taken over that view. The side deck has a beautiful view of Ober mountain (hug eye roll). Which includes a building and screaming kids. In otherwords, do not pick this cabin out because of the views. As of September 2023, I hope you enjoy the sounds of construction work because it will wake you up and echo threw the mountains while your trying to enjoy your coffee in the morning. Also, bring your own towels. The towels lefted for us had someone else's hair in them. Honestly, made me gag getting someone elses hair stuck on my face after washing my face. On a good note we did have multiple bears that visited us on the porch. The bottom gate does nothing to keep them off the porch lol.

Picturesque Cabin

We didn’t arrive until 10:40 p.m. and, how can I say this… we were not prepared for the switchbacks and the inclines, tight turns, single lanes and absolute darkness of these roads. The final ascent on Bavarian Way was a blast as we had to gun the Nissan Rogue AWD up the short, 20% slope and then make an immediate hard right. The check-in document said “preferred 4-WD or AWD”. I’m glad we did just that!

Awesome Cabin

Mountain Splendor 1250 was nothing short of amazing. The cabin was very cute and cozy. Awesome views of the mountains heading up to the cabin, but unfortunately you can’t see them from the cabin because of the trees. You can see Ober Gatlinburg. We woke up Saturday morning and saw a bear paw on the top step by the gate, super cool! The driveway to the cabin is very steep but manageable in an AWD vehicle. Overall an awesome stay.

Amazing Cabin!

Didn't have any problems with the cabin, it was everything we could of asked for. Host provided kitchen cleaning materials and made our stay comfortable. Can't wait to come back!

Very memorable stay.

Very comfortable and cozy. Wish the view had been better. We could see Ober from our deck. A bonus was a bear crawled onto our deck the morning we checked out. It was a big surprise. The cabin was a pleasant get away for us. The drive is steep and difficult. Glad it didn’t rain.

Our stay for our honeymoon was perfect! The location was secluded but not completely in the middle of nowhere. The cabin itself had plenty of places to relax and enjoy and central between the park, Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge.

Great secluded get away!

This cabin was wonderful and just what we needed. While there are neighbors around, it still feels remote and secluded. It was quiet and has a spectacular view! The only thing I wish I had realized was how steep the inclines are to get there. I drive a full-sized SUV, and the ascending and descending part of the trip was a little more than I realized. Overall, we would definitely stay here again!

Up in the mountains

We usually stay in hotels in Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge so this was something different for us! We enjoyed Mountain Splendor and the views that came with it. It was very clean and the cabin is beautiful. The drive is steep but my husband drove and he said it was fun lol. We had no problems with it in our Mustang. I would appreciate a little more lighting outside on the steps. The security light didn’t come on until we were halfway down. All in all a wonderful stay though!

This cabin was absolutely amazing. Very clean and perfect size for couples. Driveway is very steep and sharp turns. Kitchen had everything you needed. We loved watching the bears that would visit. Would recommend taking extra towels for the hot tub. We will definitely be back!

Majestic LeConte view. Book it!

Yes, driveway is intense, but this property is well worth it! Impressed and pleasantly relived by the cleanliness of the whole property…and I don’t compliment cleanliness lightly. From the epic LeConte view, to the hot tub, seating options on the deck, and pool table upstairs, this place is fun and was the perfect cabin getaway to celebrate our 15th anniversary. The cabin has cable and great internet speeds, yet I’d recommend adding a streaming service option such as Netflix/Hulu.
