Enjoy your Emperor's View from this modern mountain retreat that boasts comfortable king-size beds and TVs in the bedrooms, a bubbling outdoor hot tub for soothing tired muscles, mountain views, and an inviting wood-burning fireplace. Breathtaking Views

Property was very clean. Furniture and beds very comfortable. Hot tub was amazing. The views are simply breathtaking. The Ober Mtn tram travels past the back porch, pretty cool to watch. The Gburg strip is only a 10 min drive. The driveway is awkward but only takes a time or 2 to get used to. Saw a bear in the area!

Nice house with a great view

This house was perfect for our stay in Gatlinburg. It was very clean and we found everything exactly as we expected. We enjoyed the hot tub, but found that the cover obscured the view a little. We found we could minimize that by only opening up half of the hot tub. The beds were comfortable enough. But we did find the couches in the living room a little less than comfortable, and one of the seats was broken. We found one side had a recliner that was comfortable when using pillows for back support. It could fit two people. So, it was just fine for us. In winter, you definitely want to have a 4 wheel drive on the mountain roads. The roads were all paved and easy enough to navigate, just a bit steep in places. We would easily stay here again. It seems this property is well maintained and the views are beautiful.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The Chalet was clean on arrival. The view spectacular. Great experience with bear sightings especially off the upper deck and out the kitchen window. The lighting was poor. Unable to use the TV as not tech savvy. The towel rack fell of the wall on the second day & was told would be repaired after we left. There was a water leak on the lower deck. would stay there again because of the view. Question # 1- 4 #2-5 #3- 5 #5- 5 #6-3

Amazing Cabin!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We always stay with Chalet Village and this cabin was exceptional! It was clean and newly updated. It was stocked well and very private. The view was spectacular and we even saw 5 bears around our cabin. The only suggestion is that there needs to be a mini fridge in the bar area downstairs and also some small side tables around the pool table would help also. The mattress in the downstairs bedroom is VERY uncomfortable.

Smokey Mountain Getaway

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Cathy and the entire Chalet Village staff are very welcoming and helpful. I have been staying exclusively at Chalet Village properties for the past forty years. I have stayed at Emperor’s View five times in the last three years so I obviously think it is a very nice chalet. It is very comfortable - plenty of room and the view is fantastic. The view is the number one reason I chose this chalet in the first place. However, I do think that several things have changed for the worse during the past year. The chalet’s living room does not look at all like the pictures on Chalet Village’s website. The only furniture now in this large room is one L-shaped sofa. There are no end tables or lamps which makes it impossible to read in this room. All of the walls throughout the entire chalet are now bare and give the impression of a new home that is unoccupied. The main TV downstairs does not work and the furniture shown on the website for this area has also been removed. The only furnishings in the large game room now are two very small, uncomfortable futons. No end tables or lamps in this area either. Finally, In the last three years I have watched the incredible view slowly become much smaller because the trees have grown and need to be topped off. Not trying to be overly negative about a chalet that I have often enjoyed, but some things need attention.

Spectacular!!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I took my fiancé here for a surprise birthday weekend getaway and we were both very pleasantly pleased with it and it was truly amazing! The pool table was very nice, the jacuzzi tubs and king size beds with gas fireplaces in each of the two bedrooms were also great amenities. Perfect place for two couples. Two decks outside included one gas grill and a hot tub. The kitchen was fully stocked, I was very impressed by that. We saw no bear sightings despite many saying they have in the area. The view was breathtaking. The bar was nice but it would have been nicer to have a small fridge, so we wouldn’t have to keep going upstairs for cold drinks. The roads leading to it were a bit narrow and steep but worth it once you get to your vacation home. I highly recommend this place and look forward to staying there again. Check in was easily done by door code being emailed so we didn’t even have to stop by the office and check out was a snap also.

can't beat the view here

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: very spacious cabin. view is just amazing. Only few issues. Both King mattresses were horribly uncomfortable, they were older. the hot tub ran constantly and loud, you could'nt hear the nature around you. pile of towels left in the downstairs shower, so I washed and folded myself. seemed to be a lot of large spiders, seen a few inside and some monsters outside on the decks. Those are easily fixable issues. Other than that the cabin was very clean. Kitchen plenty stocked with everything you would need like at home. Easy keyless entry. Chalet village very nice to work with.

Perfect Getaway

Only complaint is that the outdoor hottube would not get warmer than around 86 degrees. It was cool when we visited there so 86 degress didn't cut it. Wasn't a major issue as we just went inside and got in the whirlpool. Fully furnished, we cooked there and only had to bring food. Cooking utensils and silverware were provided.

This year, my wife and I decided to save some money and rent a less expensive property. Even though the view was not as amazing with our previous rental, Emperor's View did not disappoint. It provided great views and all the ammenities as the more expensive properties. It was also fun to experience the different location. Change is good.

Beautiful home, needs some updates

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Beautiful home, wonderful mountain view. However, the hot tub is leaking so badly for so long the deck under it has rotted. We were afraid to use the tub. The sofas are worn out and need to be replaced. A spring popped through the mattress in the upstairs bedroom. The downstairs bedroom fireplace didn't work. Parking is challenging in a narrow, steep downhill driveway on a bend on the side of the mountain.

As I read in earlier posts, the furniture is a bit outdated but not intolerable. Seems like a minor thing to complain about, but for the money I think it’s fair to expect better. Home was very clean when we arrived and after calling the office an hour prior to arrival, we drove right to the place and never visited the office. Very nice.

Getting Away

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The Emperor's View has been our favorite place for a very long time. One side of the house is all glass and looks into Mt. LaConte; plus, you get to view the cable car going up and down to/from Ober Gattlinburg. Not only can you do this from the living room and kitchen, but you can also view all of this from the hot tub. There are 3 hot tubs in the house. It is such a nice place; and, it can be called Emperor's view because it has 4 thrones. Seriously, a wonderful home. Thank you Newell's!
