Spectacular View of National Park!! Pool table, two full living rooms!!

The Silver Lining is a 2590sq.ft.. 3 bedroom 3 1/2 bath mountain home which offers fantastic view of the Great Smoky Mountain National Park.

The moment you enter you're greeted with a spacious open floor plan with vaulted ceilings and incredible 20ft stacked stone, wood burning fireplace for those cool nights. The living room is well furnished ensuring a comfortable stay. Walk over and step out on the deck, relax in the rockers and take in the views and the fresh mountain air.

The main floor master bedroom with a king bed has its own large private master bathroom with double vanity, walk in Shower, walk in closet, sitting room and a private deck overlooking the national park

The kitchen has everything you need including a microwave, range, coffee maker, toaster, dishwasher and refrigerator with icemaker. The dining area seats 6 people. For grilling outside there is a charcoal weber grill.

Also on the main floor is a half bath and laundry closet with washer and dryer.

Downstairs offers another complete large living area which is also well furnished. Relax and watch your favorite program on the large screen TV or enjoy a game of pool. For your convenience there is a kitchenette with Microwave and Coffee Maker. The second bedroom with a king bed and a full bathroom is located off the downstairs living area. The downstairs bedroom also has it own private entry from the outside that is convenient for caring luggage in and out Plus you have you own patio doors to step out on the deck to see the views.

The bedroom upstairs is nicely decorated with two twin beds, large closet and its own bathroom.

The Silver Lining is conveniently located to Gatlinburg, Cosby, Pigeon Forge, Dollywood and the Great Smoky National Park.

Great Vacation Getaway

The Silver Lining is a great place for a family vacation. The furniture and beds are comfortable, the kitchen is updated and has everything you need, and there is plenty of space for everyone. The deck has a gorgeous view of the mountains, too!

Amazing vacation home!

We had such a wonderful vacation. The Silver Lining feels a like home away from home. It is so well thought out in the layout, well furnished, beautiful local art all around you, and a kitchen with all the things you need plus more. And the veiws are incredible! We all decided it was the best vacation rental we have stayed in yet!!

Wonderful View and Comfort

The home was just as described and the view met all our expectations, maybe even exceeded. Check-in was easy, home was spotless and plenty of towels which is important with kids. Most of all we were close enough to fun things, but far enough from the all the hustle of the busy towns. Plus we got to see a cub scurry across the road!

Nice cabin but lacks cleanliness

Great location! Nice cabin but not the cleanest cabin. The floors were not swept, dusty furniture and quite a few cobwebs. Mattress was very comfortable and linens were nice. Towels were a good quality as well. Great appliances! Not as well stocked as many other places we've stayed.

Family Vacation

This was a beautiful property. My family and I had a wonderful time and enjoyed spending time shooting pool. I loved that each bedroom had it's own bathroom. The view was amazing. If we found ourselves back in Gatlinburg, would definitely stay here again. Thank you!

Perfect house for family time

Pleasant stay,.. house was well equipped,… we have only one recommendation and that is that the main entrance door needs the door strike latch adjusted,… the door has approx. 1/4” gap when shut allowing the cold air to enter during the winter blast we experienced during our stay the first few days.

Silver Lining was a wonderful place to stay. It was very clean, comfortable, and we had everything we needed. The view of the fall foliage and mountains were exceptionally beautiful! We would definitely stay there again.

Cozy home nestled in the Smokies

We loved our stay! It was away from all the crowds of Gatlinburg yet close enough to enjoy restaurants in town. The neighborhood was so charming. The houses including this one are beyond cozy. The house was extremely clean and had everything you could possibly want. The decoration was beautiful. What I loved the most was the wood burning fireplace! Lots of wood supplied by owners and it was the best burning wood we have had - perfectly seasoned. Great for kids as well. The upstairs kids room was really nice with twin beds and had its own bathroom. Would highly recommend staying at this wonderful retreat of a home!

Staying on this property was absolutely amazing. The place was clean. The host was very good at communicating. It had the perfect set up for 6 adults. It was local enough to be close to attractions but far enough to not be busy. The view is amazing. I’ll definitely be back!

Smoky Mountain Vacation

We really enjoyed the cabin where we stayed. Our favorite part was sitting on the balcony and drinking coffee. We saw 4 bears the first morning. It was close enough to town and the smoky mountain national forest which was the most beautiful scenery that I have ever seen. Will be back.

Fantastic Stay!

Our family of 5 loved every moment in this beautiful home. The view was spectacular, the beds were comfortable, and we loved hanging out in the kitchen, at the pool table, and on the porches to enjoy the view and play board games. After many years of visiting Gatlinburg and renting many different homes, we all agreed we’ve found the one to come back to again and again - we’ll definitely be back!

Our family had a wonderful vacation here. The home is absolutely beautiful, incredibly clean and comfortable! The location is perfect - a short 15 minute drive away from the busyness of downtown Gatlinburg and amazing view of the Smoky Mountains!! Wonderful Place

We enjoyed this property very much. Great view! Was more like 25-30 min from Gatlinburg but that wasn't an issue for my family and actually probably made it nicer. Neighborhood Pools we not much to talk about. Home itself was great and would definitely recommend and stay here again. God Bless Joe

Spacious with Great Views

We loved our stay! The 15 minute drive to Gatlinburg was perfect… just enough to get out of the busy hub and people and to the quiet of the mountains. It was a great location to everything we wanted to do (Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, hiking in the Smokies, etc). Enjoyed having lots of room (everyone had their own bedroom/bathroom and privacy) and the pool table downstairs was an added perk. We took in the great views off the balcony each morning with our coffee and several evenings too. Kitchen had everything we needed. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful home!

We were very impressed with this rental, the house was immaculate and well appointed. You can tell that the owners really care about the property, it's apparent that they've invested a lot of time and money into their home. The furniture was all comfortable and seemed to be brand new and the kitchen had every cooking tool that we could have possibly needed. Also, we really liked that the house is in a quiet community with a true "mountain home" feel as opposed to being near the hustle and bustle noise of Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge. And the views are truly breathtaking! I highly recommend this rental, you will not be disappointed!

Beautiful cabin and view

The cabin was very modern and clean. Instructions were clear from management. View out the windows to mountains was even better in person! Loved that we could do some laundry on the property and multiple levels to spread out our family for comfort. Area was quiet and away from the congestion of downtown Gatlinburg yet we could drive into town within 10 minutes. The drive up to the cabin in a truck was a bit steep in places for out-of-state drivers not used to mountain driving but cabin is easily accessible and felt secure with driveway rails/wall on both sides for parking (nice roof cover for vehicles). We had a RAM truck so extended cab luxury SUVs or large trucks would advise experienced drivers who know how to turn around with limited road space. We had no problem but we did drive it nice and slow until we got used to the turns. Property sits on top of golf course-we took our teen sons golfing on the back 9 and was a beautiful, yet challenging course! No bug issues on golf course or at cabin in mid-April for us. Would recommend this cabin and area for families looking for the city experience but the cabin that escapes the noise of the city at night. If you love golf, the course below was fun to try with all of the water and steep terrain:). Overall trip was wonderful and cabin was not far from Gatlinburg as well as Pigeon Forge when we went to Dollywood. Well worth the money for our 5 night stay! Thank you:)

Beautiful views in a cozy home!

Our family had a really nice stay at The Silver Lining. The house had all the space we needed for our party of 6 and was very well-appointed. The views are gorgeous! The drive up to the house is a little nerve-wracking with some hairpin/blind turns, but the views were worth it.

Ron and Linda Pennington from Irving, TX: Ron and I have been coming to the Great Smoky Mountain National Park for over 25 years. we fell in love with the area the first time we came and knew that someday we would love to build or buy a home in the area. About 20 years ago we found the community of Cobby Nob. The Bent Creek Golf Club and the views of the Smoky Mountains convinced us that this was where we wanted to own a home. Eight year ago we bought a log cabin and we named it Dream Come True.
In February of 2020 we found our Silver Lining in the community of Cobbly Nob. We saw a home that needed some attention (to say the least) and we fell in love with the views. Linda appropriately named it "The Silver Lining"

A Silver Lining: is a metaphor in the common English-language which means a negative occurrence may have a positive aspect to it.

We want to share our Silver Lining with you and we hope you will enjoy it as much as we have enjoyed getting it ready for you. We hope you will go out and explore all that the Smoky Mountains have to offer; from all the water falls and hiking trails, to the beautiful drives and picnic areas. Take your time and enjoy it as we have been for the last 30 years. Our home away from home!
