We enjoyed staying at the property during our visit to Acadia/Bar Harbor. It was a nice quiet place to wind down after hiking or visiting the crowded Bar Harbor. We were concerned about the lack of air conditioning since we wound up visiting during an unseasonable heat wave, but the downstairs stayed cool and upstairs stayed comfortable with the provided fans. It had everything we needed, and there are good restaurants nearby.
We recently stayed at this charming property in Northeast Harbor, ME, for our elopement and had the most wonderful experience. The house was immaculate and provided a cozy retreat for us, our parents, and our dog. The setting was idyllic, offering both privacy and beautiful surroundings.
While we encountered a few minor issues, our contact person, Alex, was incredibly attentive and resolved everything promptly. His responsiveness added to our peace of mind.
Overall, we had a fantastic time and made unforgettable memories. We highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, and well-managed place to stay in Acadia.
Thank you for making our special occasion even more perfect!
We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful property, so close to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. Our group of six had more than enough space to spread around and enjoy our rooms.
This was a fantastic house for our family. It has plenty of space, with a small and large sitting room and two big porches. There are two bedrooms downstairs, each with a twin and attached bath. Upstairs, a queen room and a two twins room share a sizable jack and Jill, and there is a huge master suite that opens onto the upper porch.
But the best part is the quiet peaceful location up a small hill in Northwest Harbor, with ocean views right off the deck. It's also an easy walk into the town, which has a grocery store, shops, and multiple restaurants without the bustle and crowds of Bar Harbor. Similarly, it's just 5 minutes to trail heads for beautiful and less crowded parts of Acadia. Of course, if you want the bigger town of Bar Harbor or the popular Sand Beach or Jordan Pond of Acadia, those are still just a 20 minute drive away! And Alex was a great host, quick to respond and very accommodating and helpful.
We spent four days and nights on mount desert island. The house was exactly as listed, very well equipped in a prime location. Communication with the agent was smooth and easy. Definitely will try to stay again!
Myself and a group of family+friends enjoyed this place during a summer vacation. We loved the feel of the place from the outside: a long, private drive up through the woods where you're greeted by a big and beautiful house that looks like it was taken straight out of the Alps. The house had everything we needed and more including ample parking (we had 3-4 cars at a time), clean towels, toilet paper, extra bedding, plenty of kitchen tools, a gassed-up grill and much more. For those looking for a more lavish stay, this may not be for you. For instance, some of the beds are not the most comfortable, and the house is carpeted almost entirely with indoor/outdoor carpet. However, for our type of group (the type that has fun no matter where we are), these details were minor and had little effect on our overall experience. The uniqueness of the property, the privacy, and the abundance of beds+baths made it a perfect place for us.
