There are times when you almost don't want to review a place, because you're afraid it'll make it hard to get a reservation in the future. This is one of those times.
The house itself is a pretty stone barn conversion on a beautiful farm property a little outside of St-Remy: it's a great location about 5 minutes drive into town, with easy access to anything you might need, and centrally located for many of the sights in Provence (in particular two great Provecal markets in St.-Remy on Wednesdays and Eygalieres on Fridays are not to be missed). The house includes all the modern conveniences (TV, internet, well equipped kitchen, washer/dryer, etc.) in an old and well restored building. There's a beautiful private pool (which we were unfortunately not able to use much due to some cooler weather around the time of our visit) and lots of room to run around outside (or to just relax). The pictures are accurate, although they don't fully convey just how nice the place is.
What really makes this place special, however, are the people and animals that live there. Sandra and Georgios are fantastic hosts and wonderful people, who also live on the property but will be around as little or as much as you might prefer: we greatly enjoyed getting to know them and their family. And the animals living on the farm were a highlight as well: we spent lots of time playing with Raven the dog, cuddling with the cats, and feeding Bacon the pig and the various chickens (one of which started following us around looking for food, much to our delight).
All of that said, if you don't like being around animals, or you're looking for a 5-star luxury resort, this isn't your place. But if you'd like to find a beautiful home from which to experience the French countryside and Provencal way of life, with great people who are willing to help you out (if you want), you won't regret your stay.
In the end, we truly didn't want to leave, but we will definitely be coming back.
