Maiden Rock Barn (Pine Creek Rustic Road)

The Maiden Rock Barn is an ideal place to gather with friends, family or to spend some time alone. Located in the beautiful countryside of Maiden Rock township, WI, at the top of Pine Creek Rustic Road known for it's great birding and trout stream. Maiden Rock Barn is a few miles from the Mississippi River/Lake Pepin. The Barn is a short drive from the river towns of Maiden Rock(5 mi), Stockholm(7 mi), Pepin(11 mi) and near the birthsite of L. I. Wilder; 20 miles from Red Wing or Wabasha.

The space
The Vacation Rental is a 1500 square foot, walk-out apartment with a Southwest facing patio. The interior has a spacious living area with a gas fireplace and satellite TV leading into an open kitchen with a harvest table for gathering. There are two private bedrooms with comfortable queen beds and another queen bed under the back stairwell. The outdoor area has a fire-pit and charcoal grill for the guest's enjoyment.

The owner lives upstairs, but there is no shared space. The vacation rental is completely separate with its own entry and parking space.

Booking Rate based on double occupancy with additional fee per each additional guest.

The guests have use of the entire lower-level of the Barn and patio.

Girls weekend
We had a wonderful 3 girls weekend.- lots of room for jigsaw puzzle 1000 piece- gas fireplace was cozy- beds were very nice- modern decor pretty- close drive to vineyards- coffee keurig cups provided-quiet, but sound machines provided too- one suggestion, replace the bath rugs they are too slippery .This place is a 10! We recommend this VRBO.-

The barn was super cozy, lovely decor. We love the open space concept for hanging out and also the big doors and bedrooms if you wanted privacy.

Such a lovely clean and welcoming place to stay! If you love dogs you’re in for a treat, she had three wonderful sweet labs! Beds were so comfortable too! Open concept for visiting and a huge dining room table!

This is a very modern update to a farm barn. The three Queen beds were comfortable with plenty of pillows and blankets. The three large dogs were very friendly The cat never came close. Very clean unique place. Be sure and buy food before you get within 30 miles as there are few offerings any closer. There is a small grocery in Stockholm and a C Store/liquor store at a cheap gas station in Maiden Rock.

We can't give Brenda and Maiden Rock barn enough stars! She was very fast to respond and gave us tons of suggestions and tips for our vacation. The Barn was so private, we felt like we were the only ones there (along with her sweet and very friendly dogs) :-) Place was immaculate, so well stocked and beautifully decorated. We enjoyed coming back to the Barn and relaxing as much, if not more, as going out and about. We highly recommend staying here!!

Serene stay
This is our 4th time staying at this location- Brenda, the owner, is always helpful and communicative. The property itself is located in a beautiful location- close to the Mississippi River and centered between lots of quiet towns to explore. This is the perfect place for a girls weekend or a quiet couples getaway.

Nice location that is quiet. We went for a walk for about 45 mins and encountered 1 car. Well stocked ... we were impressed there was even creamer for the coffee!

The barn was great. The location was very close to a number of small towns that had fun things to do. It was clean and comfortable. The owner was quiet upstairs but helpful and available by text. She stopped out once to make sure the dogs weren't bothering us... They weren't. My kids loved playing fetch with them. We didn't get to use the fire pit because it was so windy, but we would definitely come back next time we're in the area.

What a cute rental this was. We had everything we needed than some. Nice area to go for a walk nearby as well. This is an old barn. That has been renovated and was absolutely adorable. Would highly recommend.

Very spacious, welcoming, and comfortable space. We appreciated the star-filled sky, shooting stars, the fire pit, mornings on the patio, good sleep in comfy beds, nice shower, comfortable living room with a welcoming gas firplace, high ceilings, open space, privacy, fresh country air, conveniently close to the Maidenwood wedding venue, games at the table, convenient parking, and playful labradors, wifi, TV, sliding barn doors - everything really. Upstairs owner was quiet and respectful, even though we were not always quiet. 4 steps to the bathroom (for those who need mobility) and a very small step at entrance. Probably the best place I have ever rented. Owner only gave us one easy task (to put towels in the washers) and left us a stack of menus and brochures rather than a book of rules. I highly recommend and would definitely enjoy coming again.

Wonderful location and beautiful space!
My party and I loved this open concept property tucked away in Stockholm, IA. The owner was very communicative and provided us with tons of suggestions for activities and restaurants to do in the area. Huge bonus points for the almost zero light pollution in the area which made for excellent stargazing. Thank you again for sharing your lovely home :)

Favorite girls weekend stay!
Went with 3 women for a girls weekend. Absolutely beautiful property, hiking and restaurants near by. The host had so much helpful information available on local attractions. Can’t wait to stay again.
