The cabin is all on one level and has two bedrooms each with a queen bed and a third bedroom with two twin beds. A full-size laundry room is next to the kitchen. The great room displays a high open- beam ceiling and has a gas fireplace for your enjoyment. The sofa and loveseat both include two built-in recliners to relax in front of the fireplace or to watch television. You also may want to relax on the front porch in the swing. The kitchen is fully equipped and has a breakfast bar with four bar stools. The dining room table seats six comfortably, but if you would rather dine outside, enjoy sitting on the screened-in back porch, which also has a table and six chairs and is a nice place to enjoy the view of the woods. Top off your evening roasting marshmallows around the firepit. A gas grill and lawn chairs also are provided for guests to use. Peaceful Path cabin is in a secluded 25 acre wooded tract in the west end of Tuckaleechee Cove, right outside Great Smoky Mountains National Park and a short drive to fun family activities in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. A well-marked Peaceful Path through the woods goes down to a small creek. When you reach the creek, there is a footbridge. Upon crossing, you will be greeted with a beautiful view of Scott and Rich mountains, which mark the border of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Then the path follows the creek for about a tenth of a mile. Two benches are located along the path for you to rest and enjoy the creek and the woods. A round trip walk along the path is almost a mile. Enjoy FREE access to the Wild Laurel Swimming Pool and Fitness Center while staying in Peaceful Path.

The Peaceful Path home was perfect for our family: 2 adults 3 boys (ages 7-11). The kitchen has all the supplies needed...we cooked/prepared most of our meals instead of spending money at restaurants...including storage containers. The stools for the kitchen counter were perfect for our kids staying engaged with us while we made food. And the enclosed patio meant some great outdoor lunches! The family room is a nice open setup, with super comfy reclining chairs. The laundry room is equipped with a clothes drying rack...a great touch that we often had to utilize. The bedroom and bathroom layout was great. We had our own private ensuite bath while the kids shared a nice size bathroom. Plenty of closet space. Lots of extra towels and sheets. The house is perfect! As well as the location. Out of the way / quiet / secluded but close enough to town to make trips in easy. Also, close to the caves...we highly recommend that as an excursion (two of my kids listed that as the trip highlight). We also really liked having a trail that starts at the house for when we weren't ready to drive 30 mins to Cades Cove or other trails in the Park itself. The house was very clean. Though it's a few years old, it felt brand new!We HIGHLY recommend this property. If we find ourselves back in the GSM area, we definitely plan to book it again!
Wonderful stay in the Peaceful Side of the Smokies
This Townsend home has a wonderful layout that is open and airy. It had a well stocked kitchen for us to enjoy cooking our meals. There were several seating options as well. We wished we could have enjoyed the outdoor space and trails, but we will need to come again when it is cooler! Beds were very comfortable.
We love this home! Everything was perfect except the internet was slow, but that’s a minor concern. House had everything we needed, plus more. Love the seclusion and peacefulness of this place. Townsend is a hidden gem in the Smokies. Will book again!
Stayed at this cabin for the third time during our spring break motorcycle trip! The property is secluded but very easy to access with trailers and has plenty of parking. It’s also close enough to Townsend to grab supplies or grab some beers after a long day of motorcycle riding. Will definitely be staying here again!
The property is beautiful the hiking trail is great we saw deer and bear tracks by the creek. The interior of the cabin is spectacular absolutely beautiful so relaxing we had a wonderful time. Definitely will have to come back for a second honey moon
The place was perfect! The only thing I wish was different was there were just a couple more garbage bags and dish tabs, and the vacuum wasnt very good. I like to vacuum/sweep every night. We loved the place so much we already booked it again!
This was a very beautiful, well maintained cabin in a private / remote area, yet extremely close to everything at the same time. The country club is right around the corner, and had delicious sandwiches with a gorgeous view. The hiking trail is just behind the cabin and is well marked and an easy walk. We were there for the Bronco Fest which was at the visitors center and only five minutes away. So the location was perfect for us! The only thing that would have been nice, was if there was a TV in the bedroom to watch for a little bit before falling asleep. Other than that, there was nothing missing from this place!! Loved that the bathrooms had heaters so you were never chilly getting out of the shower!! That was definitely an unexpected bonus!! Without a doubt, we will come back here again!!
My family and I loved the tranquil location of the cabin. Everything we needed(and things we didn’t know we needed/wanted)was provided for us and we couldn’t have asked for a better stay.
Property is on a lovely piece of land that is well-kept with pleasant short walks leading directly from the property. A good distance from other properties
We absolutely loved our stay here at Peaceful Path! The cabin was very modern and clean, with all the kitchen necessities and amenities provided. The only thing we did not find was laundry detergent but the Townsend IGA was just down the road.
The trails on the property was amazing and the kids loved exploring them, and the view of the mountains at the end was gorgeous. It felt so peaceful and secluded, which is exactly what we wanted to come home to after busy days in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. We even had a bear visitor come up to one of the bedroom windows one morning!
Driving through Cades Cove and horseback riding in the national park were the highlights of our stay. This cabin was perfect for our family and we will definitely stay here again if we visit the area!
Every thing about our stay at this property was outstanding. Everything was like new and modern. It was really clean and well stock with anything you would need. Even though we didn't cook, the kitchen had every thing you needed. The silver ware and dishes were type you would stock in your own kitchen. appliances were up to date and stainless steel. The property is secluded and private but yet convenient to resturants and Cades Cove. Highlyk recommend and will return
Home was well maintained, parking was easy,, and the cabin came with items that were available that other cabins don't usually furnish. Example: cabin had toiletries, plenty of paper towels, toilet paper, dishwasher detergent, and cleaning supplies. I will stay there again.
Serene retreat, convenient to west side of National Park
This is a lovely, comfortable new (2019) cabin in a serene location. There are nice trails on the cabin property that lead to a lovely view, yet the house is still easily accessed from Townsend. Would be great for a small family or two couples. Well-equipped kitchen, too.
Our trip was amazing! The cabin and property were beautiful and had everything we needed! Our 4 teens who have never been seen mountains loved it! We will be back!
The property was very nice, it was accommodating to our family needs. The only thing I would like would be common kitchen items like non stick spray, tin foil, spices, dvd games are my suggestions. We had a wonderful time.
The title says it all. This place is amazing. New, clean, spacious, comfortable, and everything we could have hoped for in a cabin. We spent each night playing games on the screened porch with friends and it was perfect. Swinging on the front porch with my toddler is a memory I will cherish. In cooler weather the fire pit area would be magical. There isn’t any clutter in this cabin, which was really great for a family with a young toddler (nothing for him to get into—he could safely explore the whole house!). The private trail is a bit overgrown but led to a gorgeous smoky mountain view. The fact that there is a private trail at all is incredible. This cabin is in a secluded location but only a skip into town and a short drive to the Townsend entrance to GSMNP. We arrived after hours and picking up our check-in package in town went smoothly. Returning our keys upon departure was just as easy. We loved our stay here and genuinely hope to visit again. We already checked for this fall and are bummed that it isn’t available to us!
