Great Neighborhood, Beautiful Place
Loved this place -- have to say, though, this is NOT a house. This is an apartment in someone's house, separated by a door. We were lucky that there was no one else upstairs, or it would have been nothing like the privacy were expecting and were lucky enough to get. VRBO sells itself as renting out whole houses, so this was false advertising as far as that goes. The neighborhood was really nice and the neighbors were really helpful and kind. Hawai'i is a magical place. I guess I'd say make sure the other half of the house is not rented if you expect privacy. Hot water was spotty. Also, there was no kitchen, just a microwave and toaster oven and a very very tiny sink, not adequate to do dishes. Seemed like another misrepresentation, though to be fair, they did disclose that and I missed it, as I assumed that through VRBO, I was renting a home with a kitchen. My fault on that one. FYI though, there's no kitchen.
