Our pricing is very simple and based on the quantity of guests staying at our cabin.
Our base rate is $300 per night for 2 guests in the winter months plus $35 per night for each additional guest up to 8 guests maximum.
In the summer months, our base rate is $350 per night for 2 guests plus $35 per night for each additional guest up to 8 guests maximum.

In the late spring and summer months we normally rent by the week. Rentals for less than a week during the summer months may be considered depending on the situation after mid-April. Please inquire.

No Pets under any circumstance.
We only rent to Adults 30 years old and up.
We do not rent to vacationing students.

This Cabin is right on the lake! Beautiful waterfront views.
This 4 bedroom/3 bath lake home is ideal for 2 families. Located on a clean 525-acre lake. Excellent fishing, water sports, biking, and hiking. Soak in the hot tub any time of year or relax by one of two fireplaces. Beautiful pool table and other amenities. Wonderful North Woods restaurants are located nearby. The cabin is near very fun golf courses including Voyager Village and Spooner Golf Club.

We love to canoe up a gentle creek to check on the Blue Heron Rookery and catch turtles for the kid's turtle races (we always let them go). S'mores by the fire pit is a must and we frequently see bald eagles in the 100-year-old pine tree by the lake. The hot tub is popular year-round and a side trip to Lake Superior is great fun. Watch the deer from the screened porch with a cathedral ceiling.

A vacation at our cabin is a real treat for the family.

We reserve the right to not approve a rental inquiry. Additionally, we attempt to keep the calendar updated. There is a chance the calendar does not reflect all dates said cabin is being utilized by our family. Please inquire about the dates you prefer before assuming it is available for the dates of your preference. Finally, we do not accept pets at our cabin under any circumstance, and we do not rent to adults under the age of 30 years old.

During the late spring and summer months we prefer to rent for a week.

Beautiful lake home!

Calvin's place is exactly as described and was perfect for our 3-night stay with 7 people. Plenty of room to spread out and the kitchen is just beautiful. We enjoyed the views (and sounds) of the lake, as well as the hot tub and fireplace. Calvin was very accommodating, and friendly and responsive via texts. No snow to be had but not too much mud. The area is quiet and peaceful and has a convenience store about 5 minutes away. It's an easy drive to Hayward for more amenities. I'm sure it's gorgeous in the summer - perhaps we'll return!

Beautiful property

This is a beautiful cabin in a very peaceful environment. The kitchen is designed for food lovers- they had every tool we needed to create some great meals. The hosts were responsive and very kind! We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation and would recommend this cabin!

Family Vacation

This was an amazing cabin! So Very clean and roomy. The lake view was incredible. We had a canoe and kayaks which our family had fun with on a clean, clear lake that wasn't busy. The firepit down by the lake was used nightly and had plenty of wood and seating for everyone. We played pool and enjoyed time in the hot tub. All of the bedrooms had comfortable beds and with eight people the three full bathrooms were a bonus. Marvelous kitchen had updated appliances and had everything we needed including plenty of plates, glasses and silverware. We cooked out on the Weber grill located on the deck right next to the porch and kitchen. The large screened in porch was a big favorite. It was used for meals that eight people could sit at the table, play cards or just relax and enjoy the nice weather without the mosquitos. Our host, Calvin, was incredibly accommodating and quick to respond to any questions we had. Everything about this cabin is more than you'd expect!!

Great Family Cabin

Fall Getaway

Little slice of heaven right here! Nothing like waking up looking out over the lake and beautiful sunrise. The pool table was a hit with our son and the hot tub was a hit with the parents! Would definitely recommend!

Golf Trip

We have an annual golf tournament at Spooner GC and decided to do an VRBO instead of Hotel this year. This cabin was the perfect peaceful retreat for the 6 of us. Communication with Calvin was great. We will definitely be looking into booking again next year. And also for a couples trip next summer. Highly recommend!

Middle Mackenzie House

Beautiful house on a lovely quiet lake. Owner provided kayaks and canoes. Nice location near local restaurants and attractions. Only issue is lots of steps in and out of house. Only an issue if you have mobility issues.

Comfortable cabin, great hot-tub, and great view. I'm almost glad we arrived in the dark the first night because waking up to the layout and lake the next morning was such a pleasant surprise.

Great cabin. Perfect size lake.

Cabin was exactly what we wanted. Great location, very nice & well-stocked with everything. Lake was the perfect size & not super busy. Great for teens with kayaks, canoes & pool table to use. We rented a boat too. Screened in porch was nice to eat outside without mosquitos. We would definitely stay here again.

Great Family Getaway

First of all, I wish I could give our host more than 5 stars! He was incredibly accommodating! We had a lovely week! The new kitchen is awesome-I wanted to bring the island home with me! All the furniture was just our style-so comfortable and cabin perfect!! We would definitely return!!

Lovely place

This was our second visit here. It's a lovely place. We always enjoy time in the hot tub and I love to play pool!! Renting a pontoon is easy and I'd recommend it - nice to troll around the lake.

We had a great time on Middle McKenzie Lake!

Our family (with young children), had a great week at this vacation rental. The house was very clean, the beds were comfortable, and the kitchen was well stocked for cooking, baking and grilling. We spent a lot of time paddling the provided kayaks and canoes, fishing from the dock and on the lake and playing in the water. Watching the full moon rise over the trees from the porch swing or while sitting in the hot tub was amazing! This house is perfect for a family vacation or for a romantic getaway! You won’t be disappointed!

Great time had by all!

This is an absolute amazing house! We love how secluded it was. The lake was perfect size for the kids to jet ski and not have to worry. Great fishing. We used the fire pit almost every night. And had a fire in the fireplace in the mornings. Calvin made our stay very easy. He’s very accommodating and extremely easy to work with. We had the best time!! Definitely will be back!

Winter getaway

This property was amazing! Perfect for a couples getaway, but certainly large enough for a few families. We didnt watch tv the whole weekend, instead ice fished, played the numerous available games, played pool and made great use of the hot tub. You cannot beat the peace of the sunrise over the lake. Calvin was great to work with and quick to respond, we highly recommend this property.

A spacious and very well appointed cabin perched above scenic Middle McIntyre Lake. Lovely setting and lovely home. Immaculate and modern charm. Terrific hot tub. Not far from Hayward.

Picturesque cabin in the snow

This is our second time staying at this property and it didn’t disappoint! We had a great time at the cabin enjoying the hot tub, real fireplace and a truely “up north” vibe! Highly recommend!
