Your wonderful Wisconsin vacation begins at East Shorewood Cottages on Kangaroo Lake. Here you will find a relaxed atmosphere with ten housekeeping cottages nestled along the pristine east shore of this clean inland lake. Relax at the beach, swim, fish, play games, take a walk, or enjoy a campfire. You’re on 'the quiet side', yet only minutes away from all the attractions Door County has to offer including golf, shopping, antiques, art galleries, live theater, parks, etc.

Remodeled in 2013, Willow is centrally located on the East Shorewood grounds, offering beautiful beach/lake views - including those spectacular Door County sunsets. The cottage provides a queen bed and full-sized sleeper sofa for the comfort of up to four guests. The kitchen is fully furnished, and the living space includes TV with a DVD/VCR. Although kid-friendly, Willow is the perfect place to enjoy a romantic getaway for two!

Nice duplex stay

Nice cabin and very clean. Was a little surprised at the request to bring our own bath and kitchen towels and cleaning routine at the end of our stay. Over all was good, had lots of opportunities for families with children to play around the area.

Exploring Door County

The Willow cabin was a great place to stay while exploring Door County. The property is very peaceful, with large trees and a great sunset view across the lake. It's very close to the town of Baily's Harbor and the Ridges nature center.

Very clean, lots to do, and close to all tourist attractions. Very peaceful

Willow Duplex Cottage

My husband and I enjoyed our location and stay while in Door County. This cottage reminds me of something from the 80’s, but it was clean and well kept! Willow, the name of the cottage duplex we stayed in (because Juniper the cottage attached) is set on Kangaroo Lake. There is plenty to do at Kangaroo Lake as several kayaks, paddle boats and boards are available to patrons. There is a nice little park, a place for a nightly fire, and some outdoor games (including ping pong) for guests to enjoy. My husband and I can’t wait to stay with our whole family! This property is located near between Bailey’s Harbor and Jacksonport, only about 30 minutes from anything you could want to do in Door County.

Kangaroo Lake Peaceful

cabins fully furnished, few steps from cabin to lake, all you need for fun in water there!, to use freely. Lake up to six feet high. Nice for children to play safe on the swing, rock wall, slide or swim, or use the boats, life jackets also provided. Maybe you would like to sit out on water and do some fishing! So much more to mention, but go see for yourself and enjoy. No if you must use your cell phones, we were were not able to call out from inside cabin but out side we could. And if you want to use office phone it cost .50 cents a call. It's a wonderful getaway!

A Stay On The Quiet Side

The cottage was comfortable and well equipped. A good location once we located the entrance. We were surprised to learn Willow is Part of a duplex but it was not a problem.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with our family. This unit is a duplex. It was spacious enough for us. We were very comfortable. There is no TV service...only DVD's. We bought a small antenna which gave us four of the local channels. Would stay again on the property.

Great!!!

The property has been updated!!! Simple and clean. Very nice weekend getaway. The rest of the family stayed in the redwood this weekend. We have been coming here for about 10 years now. Things are so easily accesible. Love the fact there is firewood here, boats, canoes, and a small beach. Get place to come if you want a little peace and quiet!😊

Rustic cabin

A very nice, quiet place to vacation on a beautiful lake. Convenient to Baileys Harbor and the rest of Door County. The kitchen has all the equipment necessary for your stay. There also is an office with games and movies to use.

great stay overall - yet be aware picture doesn't match

wonderful impression of the property. kept surprisingly clean. enjoyed the lake and the location which is relatively close by tourist attractions in door county. no complaints about the property, though things to note: 1. when arriving, look up east shorewood cottages rather than the shorewood ave address which is a different location -should be right by the lake on your gps / map app. 2. the picture may not match your actual cottage. i believe the pictures used area of the property, but not the actual cabin you may be staying at. the east shorewood website has pictures of the various cabins. 3. no wifi / poor phone signal - for us was useful to disconnect, but may be useful to keep in mind.

Cozy and quiet. The lake view was perfect. Only one thing we dislike was no tv service and wifi. However watching dvd on blue ray device was helping during rainy days.

Nice, clean, quiet location.

Perfect for our needs. Had some troubles finding it, since our smart phones didn't have service in this area and we couldn't make a call. An email with specific directions would have helped. Otherwise, all was well. Lovely place!

Love East Shorewood

We love this place! Loved it for years before VRBO was involved. The only downside this time was inconsiderate folks cluttering up the beach and lake view.

A memorable weekend

Once again we stayed at the redwood. The weekend was awesome. The weather was fantastic. Trudy is a great manager of these prooerties. We decided to stay an extra night. She was very accommodating at getting the evergreen cleaned so we could make the transition from the redwood to the evergreen for our family. We love staying at East Shorewood. Thank you. We will be back again next year.
