We explored Rainier and drove around/hiked each day and had a cozy little house to come back to after dinner in town. Highly recommended. House is well take care of and has everything you need.
The location of this property was wonderful. Beautiful yard and neighborhood. We went for the Packwood swap meets and we’re only a few minutes away. Cabin was perfect for us and the bed in the detached room was SO comfortable!
Perfect arrangement for my son, his friends, and me. My son stayed in the main cabin with 3 friends, so they thought they were big shots with their own apartment. I stayed in the bunkhouse which was cozy and quiet. Everything in the house was as-advertised. Close to town & White Pass in a quiet neighborhood. Would stay here again.
Really enjoyed our time and stay. Would have been nice to learn that there is a trail walking distance from the cabin that leads to a wonderful waterfall.
Reason why I didn't rate a five was that our microwave did not work. Clearly we could tell that it hadn't been working for some time as the buttons on the key pad where pressed and were not connected to the base. Since we were only there several days we could not use the microwave in the morning when we were pushing on our hike at 5:00 AM. Minor was that there was not a tp holder. Lastly the garbage can on the outside was nearly half full. Luckily there was enough space for what we needed
Again very nice cabin and really felt at home.
thank you
IT is a beautiful cabin with 2 bedrooms (one in the main house and one as a separate addition at the back of the house ) the cabin is in the middle of the woods but still has good clearing to give good amount of sunlight etc. This is a pet friendly property which is a huge plus for our family. kids enjoyed the bunk bed. There is gas station and grocery in 5 min driving distance. It was a bit uncomfortable having to go to the separate bedroom at the back of the house cause if you have to use bathroom middle of the night you have to walk all the way back to the main house in cold. Also, the communication with property manager was very delayed. Multiple calls (no answer) we were stuck with a road closure sign had to drive back 20 mins to closest shops to find out different route. the welcome email should have this Info clearly specified (about road closureS) as most guest would just put the address in google map and drive.
Well maintained and furnished house. Easy 30 min drive to the mountains for skiing. Plenty of room. One caveat - although there are Keurig machines in the house, there are no pods. So remember to bring your own pods or coffee.
Our family and friends had a great stay. The property feels larger with the detached bedroom and worked for the 3 nights we were there. It would have been a little cramped if we were planning to stay any longer with our group of 6. The instructions of how to get into the detached bedroom at arrival were not clear, but the property management was available to assist. Overall it was a great place and we had a great time.
We had a great stay with a mix of adults and kiddos. The kids loved playing outside in the snow around the house, the bunk room and games available. Before arrival, we needed to contact the property, and it was a little confusing to track down the proper contact (VRBO vs. the management company), but once we got ahold of the management company, they were very accommodating. And, communication once on-site was easy and quick to reply. Very clean and cozy. We would love to come back again soon!
This cabin was super cute and was perfect for our small family as well as inviting my parents to join us with the separate bedroom. The beds were SUPER comfortable and I'm extremely picky regarding the bed usually. Lots of towels, extra blankets, a few cleaning supplies, detergent, etc.
Lots of cookware included (ginsu knives, a couple pans, lots of pots, toaster, keurig and lots of basic essentials) as well as a few family movies to use in the dvd player and board games.
Only reason for 4/5 stars is that the door to the room with bunk beds didn't latch shut, so my toddler was able to break free after putting him to bed for the night. I'm sure this issue will be an easy fix though. Also wifi was a bit spotty at times, but we had great cell reception (t-mobile) when the wifi was slow. Also, the tv IS a smart tv, but it can be hard to figure out how to locate the apps. I left a note in the check in book to explain this for other guests who are unsure how to access the smart features. The garbage disposal switch was under the sink, so it took a minute to figure out how to use it.
Overall, aside from a power outage due to a massive downpour, our stay was fantastic. Aside from food, toiletries and personal items, they provide almost everything you'll need.
My family of 4, including two young kids stayed here and it was great. We hiked the skate creek park trail that has access to Skate Creek and the Cowlitz River one day. The cabin also has trails off the road it’s on and my kids liked to play in the woods there too. It’s also close to Packwood Brewery which we enjoyed eating in the outside space. Access to Mount Rainier NP was easy and relatively close so we spent a day at the park too. Overall I think we all enjoyed it and would recommend for sure.
We came into town for a half marathon at Mt. Rainier & this cabin was perfect location to explore all the surrounding mountains, trails & more! Great communication, location & clean!
