Did you say calm, nature and discovery? Welcome to the maeva Escapades Les Gaves *** * campsite located at the foot of the Laruns mountains in the Ossau Valley, in the heart of the Pyrenees region.



maeva Escapades is an invitation to take the time to re-discover France and its destinations through the eyes of lovers of their region.



Here, we come to seek authenticity in natural accommodation which fits perfectly into this preserved setting among the trees and along the river. Admire the superb view of the mountain that awaits you from your wooden terrace.



Focus on the surrounding nature: The Ossau valley is one of the three valleys of the Béarnaise Pyrenees made up of eighteen villages. It is also a mecca for hiking where you can discover the GR 10 route, the path of Saint-Jacques of the Ossau route or for the more mountaineers, the Pyrenees Haute Route.

We offer you not one but three protected natural spaces.

First of all, the Pyrenees National Park in the upper valley which protects an entire flora and fauna heritage. We can cite the Bious-Artigues lake populated with brown and rainbow trout which delight fishermen. The Pic du Midi de Bigorre is accessible by cable car.

Next comes the Ossau Nature Reserve which preserves the griffon vultures nestled in the cliffs above the village of Aste-Béon.

And finally, the famous Sierra Guara National Park just 1h30 from our campsite for unique, breathtaking landscapes and thrills!

To slow down the pace, take the time to stroll through the local Laruns market to discover the region's local products. Here the roots and traditions are strong, as much as the climate is mild.



Focus on local traditions: whether you settle down in winter or summer, the surrounding villages have great events in store for you.

At the beginning of summer, transhumance is celebrated there, from Bielle to the pastures of Bious-Artigues.

On August 15, the village of Laruns offers its festivals with traditional colors.

For food lovers, find the first weekend of October, the Laruns Cheese Fair.

In winter, the resorts of Gourette and Artouste present festive events around skiing and mountain races.



To enjoy the panoramic view of the mountains that surround you, the campsite offers various infrastructures : an aquatic area made up of two heated pools with rocks, a waterfall, a pontoon and a whirlpool bench.

Your little ones can enjoy the paddling pool while you laze in the sun on one of the deckchairs on the wooden solarium terrace. A games room welcomes you with billiards, table football and two ping-pong tables.



We also offer various services: a bar where you can have an aperitif with friends. Free wifi access to the bar, rental of bed linen and toiletries kit for a comfortable stay as well as a welcome drink on Sunday evening to welcome you!

And for moments of conviviality , pétanque or ping-pong tournaments are organized in July/August.

Note: The bunk bed is prohibited for people over 70kg. The mentioned bed sizes are not contractual. It is possible to have slight differences in size depending on the rental models. The layout of the beds and the decoration may also vary.
