Decent place in Tahoe

The location is excellent with the beach being a 3-minute walk. Also the beach chairs and towels were nice addition. Parking was easy but could be an issue over the busy weekends. The condo needs some serious renovation though, the carpet is ancient and dirty. We were worried about our kid sitting on the carpet. The bathrooms were old too, but decently clean.

Descent place to stay.

What I loved about this place was that it was so close to the Lake. There was also a nice shared hot tub and 3 shared fire place. Maybe during the summer it's supper packed so for me it was nice to not have too much people.

Cute condo but mildew/mold problem downstairs

The condo is cute, exactly what it says it is. Perfect for a small family. Comfortable. The two bathrooms and master bedrooms are downstairs on ground floor and there is a MAJOR mildew and mold problem! When we first arrived the cleaners had just recently been there because all I could smell was air freshener. We settled in and spent the rest of the evening upstairs which is where the living room and kitchen are. When I went back downstairs, I could immediately smell mildew and mold, bad. It was so bad that by the second night of sleeping down there my allergies had kicked in and I was up all night sneezing and so congested and felt awful. This was during winter and we were away skiing all day, so luckily only had to deal with it in the evening. I called Vacasa to let them know that this was a major health issue, they said someone would be contacting me, but I have yet to hear from them. We only had one night left, so we stayed and I slept upstairs on the couch to get away from the mold/mildew. They really should not rent this place until this issue is fixed.

Couldn't get into our unit in the middle of the night because the code given to us was incorrect....

Couldn't get into our unit in the middle of the night because the code given to us was incorrect. We were concerned for your safety in the middle of the night in Bear country with no support and no means to get into our rental unit. We arrived at our rental location at around 11:30 trying to get into the unit with no luck. We called every possible phone number we were directed to on the app and through texts. I also send a text as instructed on the message when we called. All attempts over 2.5 hours were failed attempts. Despite us pressing numbers for "safety issue" no one answered our call at Vacasa. We even went to the service counter at Lakland, but the staff didn't know of alternate means to open the door. After all failed attempts to reach Vacasa, we had to look for other accommodations at 2 AM and had to drive around to find decent accommodations without breaking our wallet. Luckily the local football tournament was canceled and we were able to find a room. I had to call to ask for a refund and was told that there is a review process. I will never use Vacasa ever again.

Property is run down

We were excited to stay at lakeside inn we stayed there previously. But when we were going to bed, my daughter’s bed was soaking wet from thr blanket all the way Down to the padding to the mattress all soaking wet. We pulled all the sheets off and yellow stain all over the mattress, padding, sheets. My daughter slept on the couch, they had additional sheets that we used for the couch. I contacted the management, they said they would provide additional sheets and an air mattress . It is pretty hard to sleep on air mattress for a week after skiing all day. But when we got home from skiing we did find an air mattress, additional sheets on our door steps. Left outside. Other issues the master bathroom doesn’t flush, it looks like the chain is broken and we had to open it and pull the chain by putting our hand in rusty toilet tank to flush the toilet. The sink has a drip all the time, it doesn’t shut off. The other bathroom the pocket door is hard to roll. And the shower is stained. I’m sure it was white at some point. Needless to say, we got an additional room at the casino and mt daughter used that room rather than all of us staying together in the cabin. Unit needs some TLC upgrades and management needs to check unit for cleanliness prior to new Check in. Thank you violette

Lakeland Village Pine Grove Retreat

Pros: Perfect location when visiting South Lake Tahoe. Easy check in and parking. Loved that beach access was steps away. Cons: Place didn’t seem that clean compared considering the price you pay. Was a little hesitant to use the kitchen supplies. TV in bedroom wasn’t working. AC seemed to only cool downstairs and not upstairs. Downstairs still felt hot and wasn’t able to open the windows in the bedroom because it was too rusted. Would recommend if you are looking for the perfect location. Probably wouldn’t return to this particular unit.

Quaint Near The Lake

We have stayed at many different units in Lakeland Village over the last 20 years. What impressed me the most was how clean this unit was compared to the ones managed by Lakeland Village. Ever since Vail took over Lakeland Village, the quality of housekeeping and overall service diminished. I do not blame this on any of those who work at Lakeland Village, they are just very short staffed due to Vail resorts. This unit was very clean and comfortable. Loved that portable fans were provided, although they could use one more fan because the third level gets extremely hot! It had all of the necessary kitchen gadgets. The only thing it could’ve used in the kitchen was potholders as they were none of those. I loved that had a gas stove as opposed to electric. Refrigerator was nice and cold, although an icemaker would’ve been awesome. That we were able to get ice from inside the lodge, so not a huge problem. I only mention the refrigerator because we have stayed in units with refrigerators that have never gotten cold enough to cool our food. Bathrooms very clean, but only one extra roll of toilet paper was left for two full bathrooms and we stayed for five days. I feel like they should’ve left at least an extra roll in each bathroom, if not two extra rolls. Also some Kleenex would’ve been nice. Loved that they provided hand soap in the kitchen and each of the bathrooms, along with hand sanitizer. Would’ve liked more shampoo, conditioner, and body soap, as this was only provided for one of the bathrooms. and since it is managed by Vacasa, not Lakeland, you cannot get these things from Lakeland. They will not exchange towels either. We managed, but if we had stayed longer we definitely would’ve needed to do a towel exchange, which I was not sure how this worked with Vacasa. The unit had plenty of extra blankets and pillows which was nice. Overall, a wonderful unit to stay in. Vacasa seems to take great pride in their rentals, at least with this one they do!
