We loved our cozy penthouse suite. It isn't a large room. The bed was comfy, the views are stunning. We loved the balcony with the view. It was so quiet. We walked to the beach at the end of every day. We absolutely loved the location and would stay there again!!!
Masterfully designed studio with attention to detail; outstanding views of the Pacific and Diamond Head; beach towels, boogie boards, beach chairs and beach mats provided; sophisticated lighting with dimmer switches; wonderful large screen TV; terrific air conditioner though we didn't need it due to excellent cross ventilation even in mid-June with temps 74-84 degrees. Terrific location quieter than other downtown Waikiki accommodations; enjoyed the Barefoot Beach Cafe 2-3 blocks away. We highly recommend this charming studio!
The location is primo. Within walking distance to all the beaches and shopping centers. Great beach views from front and rear balconies. You can watch the sunrise from the front balcony and the den set on the rear balcony.
Really enjoyed our stay here. We loved the views. There's a large park across the street. Much quieter than if you are staying right in Waikiki and yet close enough to walk there if you're up for a bit of a walk. We used street parking and didn't have a problem finding a spot within a few blocks. The owners responded quickly to any questions we had. All in all a great stay.
Beautiful room with amazing views! Had everything we needed, and was well located. Would definitely recommend. We added the parking space, which I also recommend.
Wow, what can I say from getting there a little early, being accommodated right from the start By Michael at the Desk. Amazing communication with Mark all the way through. To the awesomely proportioned and renovated penthouse corner suite. I can honestly say out of all the places I’ve stayed in my life and I’ve stayed at some awesome ones, these views are top-notch everywhere in the room and the balcony. The size of the condo was perfect and the ocean swimming hole with a sandy walkout down the stairs just out the back with their little slice of beautiful ocean front property just absolutely was the cherry on top. To say I won’t be back and purposely try to come and seek this Property out would be a total lie. I totally will. Thank you Mark and team for an amazing stay. WOW
This is our favorite unit in the building, having stayed in several units over the years. Excellent stay. My only suggestion would be newer bedding: sheets & covers as it’s almost past its time. Other than that, we love this unit! We don’t want this secret out or else we won’t be able to book it for ourselves!!
This place was perfect in every way if traveling alone or as a couple. The views were simply amazing and the breeze was perfect! The condo was nicely updated, clean, and very comfortable. Host provided toiletries, dish soap, powdered creamer, and coffee. He also had towels, beach towels, and beach chairs available for use. The window in the shower took some getting used to, but the shower was nice and spacious. Parking was secure and we had our own designated space. We didn't want to leave and would definitely rebook at this location.
Location is good. On arrival found bed linen and towels unclean. Had to wash them twice to get them clean. Mattress protector and pillows heavily stained. No beach towels. This condo not suitable for stays longer than few days. Just too small
Amazing last-minute booking overlooking Diamond Head and ocean - 5 stars!!
Very cute and quaint penthouse apartment with gorgeous views of the ocean from both sides of the room!! Super comfortable bed, gorgeous (and breezy) lanai balcony, we had a fantastic time in this apartment. Big bathroom with window overlooking the Pacific, large counter for vanity, gorgeous dimmer lighting, and big mirror. The little kitchen was small (no hot plate or burners), but equipt with a microwave and mini-fridge with freezer, which was great. Also hot water carafe, toaster, and a few coffee machines, so breakfasts were easy. Used the beach umbrella and chairs, and enjoyed ghe ocean breeze and views every morning and night. Management was always precise and helpful with info (ex. late check-out), and the front desk helped with some internet issues. All in all would highly recommended - amazing location near park with parking, Kaimana Beach, and only about 15 min walk to downtown Waikiki. Thank you!!
First: When I booked the property, per the instructions, I informed them that I needed on-site parking as I had a rental car. I followed their instructions about requesting parking at the time of booking. On our day of arrival, I was told that I did not "confirm" that I wanted parking...however, I was never asked to confirm and confirming was not in the instructions.
Then we check into our room after 12 hours of flying and wanted to rest a bit. However, they were jackhammering just above our room. I know this may not be the owners fault, but they may have been told.
Call the owners, was told they would check on it. Then we got two offers, one was to check out for a full refund (yeah because that would be easy to do when I am going to be there for 2 weeks and I am already there). Second option was to pack back up and move down a few floors for the next two nights until the work was done. We chose that option.
However, the very next day, the owners contact us at 11:00 am and says they need us out of that unit by 11:30 because they forgot they had rented it. At the time of this call we were on a circle tour that lasted until 4:30 pm. So after the tour, we had to rush back and pack up again, just to move back up stairs.
Throughout the communications owner was a total jerk and was not sympathetic about the situation at all. They kept telling us that we could just check out for a full refund. This was our 20th anniversary trip. AVOID this company!
If you want a quiet part of Waikiki and do not plan on entertaining, this is a great place. It is smaller than a typical hotel room, but the location and bathroom are terrific. Very quiet and private. Kapi'olani Beach (the quiet part of Waikiki) is a simple walk away.
Downsides:
The owners put the AC unit in the only place they could. As a result, the air blows straight into your face when sleeping. I tried to open the windows and use just a fan setting (nights were VERY pleasant) but couldn''t figure out how to turn off the AC portion.
BIG caution, learned the hard way: The balcony, while small, offers great views toward Waikiki, so it is very tempting to grab a glass of wine and sit on the balcony and watch the sunset. BUT... the sliding glass door can lock behind you!
This is bd enough, but there are no contact numbers so you can call someone to let you back in - IF you have your phone (I didn't). You're 13 floors up, so good luck sidling around the barrier between the balcony and the landing proper - I was close to breaking a window and addressing the consequences afterward.
Obviously, this to me was the biggest drawback - and risk (imagine the press if someone did fall trying to get free!) - of the place. If you have your phone at least you could call Honolulu Police or Fire. Keep with you at all times!!!
The management group was apologetic and assured me that they would talk to the owners about putting a warning on the door. But if you out of habit still manage to lock it behind you, prepare to yell for help, as I did for 2 hours. (This is the lower mark I gave for communication, something I take quite seriously in my job - and life.)
Despite all this, I would return in a heartbeat - and am trying to make plans to do just that next year.
Directly on the water in the quiet part of Diamond head, perfect location and place for single or couple. Priced right I believe Bc units for sale near by with about same qualities run up into the millions.
